    'I apologise now'
For fucking what. That was some fantastic playing, and the ambient stuff is to die for.
Also where did you get that beautiful warwick from? Second hand from andertons or a new made to order?

great review bea! loved the ambient bits especially! I wish more bassists approached bass in that way of just using it as a musical expression tool rather than just a "bass", playing root notes because that's what they're expected to do!
    please do more bass videos!

This + a MXR bass comp is the majority of my bass rig, works great the inbuilt cab sim is pretty dark so hopefully i'll be able to afford a torpedo live oneday but for now it works well enough just have to switch it off occasionally when playing clean

I find some bass preamps really good mediums for running high-gain distortion pedals through for guitar use as well as enjoying them for bass also of course. I won't list them all but I'm talking Digitech X-Series Metal Master, DOD Grunge (It's far more like a big, thick grind suitable distortion than it is a fuzzy or DS-1 flavoured pedal), Line 6 ToneCore Series Uber Metal (perhaps my favourite of them all), MI Audio Megalith Delta, Amptweaker Tight Metal & Tight Metal Pro (Need me a Fat Metal Pro), Seymour Duncan Palladium Gain Stage and most recent the MXR EVH 5150 (So you have an idea of the various boxes I'm talking about). Obviously I feed the output into a 4x12" or 2x12" and run a more conventional valve amp rig at the same time, I find that by balancing the levels relative to one another along with the other instrument levels, It offers me that really savage killer combination/The benefit of an extremely tight and almost clinical response/tracking via the FET/solid state, High-gain pedal into bass pre into SS power amp into cab along with the fuller mid-range and more rounded, forgiving high's with more natural compression...etc. from the high-gain NS-2, Maxon OD808 (or similar) diming the front-end of a high-gain all-valve amp head into another cab. This appears to fit the criteria of a bass preamplifier that would serve in a dual purpose role, I'll be trying one out when I can do. Cheers, I know my explanation is rather lengthy and it probably sounds daft to many but it does work, Especially when I'm using say my 28" Ibanez iron label tuned pretty low and then I have a 30" Schecter which is 30" and handles even lower tunings without issues. Dean :) Always a quality demo you deliver Rabea dude

Hey Bea. I just have to ask. For someone who covers a wide variety of rock music (anything from Linda Rondstandt to Avenged Sevenfold) in a band who plays every weekend which would you recommend? The Ghost Fret or the Norseman? Also, does the trem arm on ur sig stay put? That would make a biiig difference in choice. Also, huuuuuuuge fan of your playing. Nuno is one of my favorites as well and I gotta say your playing is similar in all the right ways. Cheers! - Kit

Everything sounded amazing but I still dont get it why Rabea used the Torpedo Cab when the Torpedo Live and thr Studio are there behind him? I wish he also explained all the feature of the Le bass. Anyhow, good bass playing Rabea!

Great video, sounds and bass lines!!! (and bass harmonies too)
I'll watch again many times to learn some ideas, specially those that remind progressive ambiences and celtic tribal tunes.
Some of them have similarities to "milonga" tunes, from camp frontier countryside people here (I don't know how to describe them. Though they have some similarities to cowboys, they're different, like some sort of nomadic cowboys, mixing the old western movie feel with some medieval blacksmith feel too. Frontier gauchos. A slight influence of gipsy cultures too. Some of them even look like Mark Knopfler).
    Cheers!!!
    Luke

That feeling when Bea, a fucking monster GUITARIST, shits over every other bass player in the world. (Excluding maybe Dave and Flea) AND also takes the title of one of the best guitarists right now. Feeling pretty insignificant as a musician right now. XD
