A High Pass Filter is so useful. I always have a SFX Micro Thumpinator last on my board. Especially useful when using octave pedals on lower notes - Just like Dusty Hill did with his rig.

I have a question. At 5:19 there's a quite audible hiss when really pushing up the treble to the max. Is this due to some hiss from the pickups on the bass guitar itself (i.e. does this happen regardless of which Bass DI one would use).

That filter section reminds me of what markbass has on their amps. That's the only way to make those yellow pieces of crap sound interesting
