they never used the ad free tier because if they did, they wouldn't use the add version with their 6 commercials for a 30 min show. i tried to watch one episode of Percy Jackson, and there were 8 different commercial breaks
Netflix has an ad plan for 6.99 month that has less ads than Peacock, Hulu, Disney Plus, Paramount Plus, Max, Tubi etc etc. They might have ad before show that is 15-45 seconds, go long periods without break and when they do typically have 1 or 2 ads. Sometimes three ads.. And Netflix ads seem to be shorter than commercials on other TV Networks and streamers.
Another thing I have noticed about Netflix ad plan is that there will be more breaks with 1 or 2 commercials which are short if you watch often. If you have not watched in several days or more viewers may get even less commercials sometimes none on Movies and shows.
I can deal with ads here on TH-cam. I can’t always subscribe to the no ads plan anyways. TH-cam was always free to begin with and that’s how I prefer to look at the platform here.
I am not very happy that Disney+ has been charging €20 more onto the no ads suspension I hope there won’t be any more jumps onto Disney+ on the prices next year. It should stay the same for two years.
The thing that Disney does with its ad tiers which, to me, pleasantly sets it apart from Prime Video, Tubi, and other ad platforms: Disney does not use a countdown clock for its ads and they run very naturally in-app. Rather than a handheld camera style jerkiness that other ad-supported apps use. I would rather not see ads at all, but if a company is going to use them, it’s wise to port cable-style commercials over to the apps.
Is the ad tier still coming to Australia at all? I’m sure I’ve probably asked this a few times now. I’m guessing it might happen eventually sooner or later.

Netflix did it too! It’s so harsh I think.
@BrennySpain I may be 1 of the only people in the world to never have netflix
@ I’m kind of not surprised about that in all honesty.

I hate ads.
Upcoming Venu Sports Was Cancelled Today.

Disney doesn’t use a countdown clock within Disney+, but they oddly enough do use a countdown clock in Hulu and ESPN+.

They’ve not announced anything lately regarding an ads tier rolling out there yet
@ interesting.
Disney premium has ad's as well. Quite deceptive of them.
Do you mean promos for other shows/movies as they aren’t necessarily considered ads?
When is Moana 2 and mufassa to be on Disney plus
I don’t know, but my sheer guess would be anywhere from about March to May.
When will Disney announce how many subscribers have ad free tier?
