Probably the key slot of the output shaft has a small amount of wear. What you got looks great. A tiny amount should be OK. Heck its like 40 years old . WAY better than the original key and Gear. I'm sure your good for another 40 ...lol.
Yeah I’m sure the key way in the crank has a small amount of wear too. The NOS gear and new key should be fine. It’ll be torqued down really tight too. It’s only 47 years old, probably normal to have some wear right? 😆
