Great Video !! Had a doubt. At 15:30 I can see GPU TGP is mentioned 60W. Is this in normal mode or in performance mode? I have heard that this laptop has TGP of 75-80W in performance (or gaming) mode! Can you please help :)
I replaced ssd with SAMSUNG 980 PRO 1TB SSD into the same laptop model(HP 15ec-2076ax). When I did read speedtest it is showing 3500MB/Sec....but as per samsung specifications the speed should be 7000MB/sec...Is there any settings change to achieve 7000MB/sec read speed.....
I have this laptop and my only issue is the fans never seem to turn off no matter what I'm doing. Browsing the web, no videos and very few tabs open even peaks out at almost 80 degrees. This is a huge annoyance when you're trying to concentrate on your work. After an hour or two of the fans screaming, I've had enough really thought of taking it back
I've got TH-cam open and replying to your comment on this laptop itself and the fan isn't running, as I type this comment my CPU temp is at 56 degrees, Its most likely there is malware or something running in the background using the CPU.
Extremely professionally done review. I'll be very honest, your review is the best I saw on entire youtube and it's even better than jaoords tech BTW how's laptop going on now? Any issues
Hi bro! I recently brought this. But whenever i press firmly the area near HP logo which is present at centre( on the laptop lid), i hear some quirky noises as if something is loose fitting from inside. Even when i carry the laptop in my hand, whenever there is slight accidental touch near those areas, same noise comes out. Although there's no noise on the corners, its mainly around the middle area, as you go away from those middle areas, noise reduce. Pls let me know if you are experiencing any such noise. If thats the case, i have to go for replacement. Thanks in advance!
I just tried the exact same thing, closed the lid and pressed the HP logo and there was no noise or any creaking sound. It flexes, but there is no noise. Even while carrying the notebook it doesn't make any noise. I hope this helps.

Detailed video indeed. Mine is HP 15 ec2008ax.The fan positioning could have been better . The bottom right side keeps getting hot while the opposite side is fine 😂. Why they put both fans at centre seriously 😒.Also the speakers sucks on the bass 🙈
Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 5600h + gtx 1650 + 8gb ram with 250 ssd + 1tb hdd Or HP Pavilion Ryzen 7 4600 + gtx 1650 + 16gb ram with 250 ssd + 1tb hdd Usage - video editing, casual gaming and regular college + office work. What would you recommend? Pavilion about 4000 rs more expensive, my heart was set on nitro 5 but 16gb ram of Pavillion pulls me towards it even with ryzen 7 4600h
For video rendering - you'll definitely struggle. For games - they should really be casual - extreme-casual. For office - perfect. My advice is - if it's not too late - none of the above. Save another $300-400 and don't deal with crap. Yesterday I bought a HP Pavilion 15-ec2078nq, almost the same as the one presented in the video, but with the main difference that instead of a RTX 3050, it has a RTX 3050ti and it lights up in green, on some super random 3-day promotion for $839. And it is quite likely that in October prices will start to drop drastically due to the super-release of the new platforms: Intel - new gen CPU and Chipset, AMD - new gen CPU and Chipset, Nvidia - new gen GPU, Radeon - new gen GPU, maybe Intel - new gen GPU - don't quote me on that one, all within a few weeks and on top of that GPU mining is over.
Hi sir hopefully you see this comment.. I am choosing between asus tuf f15 (512 gb i7 11800h rtx 3050ti) and hp pavilion 15 (256 gb ryzen 7 5800h rtx 3050ti).. Hp costs a little more than asus.. With the specs given, what would u recommend?
Hi Charlie, Awesome information! Would this be suitable for a student to use at school as well as the gaming element at home? I'm concerned about the battery longevity within a school day as my son is unable to charge a laptop at school.
It’s battery performance isn’t that good , max 3-4 Hours I personally have this laptop so as I use it in my uni He needs to carry the charging brick , Or he needs to put the laptop on low power mode to get which can give him max 5 hours I think that’s enough for him
As a gaming element , he probably plays Fortnite or other games Easy 180fps + on these games And good 70-90 fps performance on new Rtx games So ye it’s perfect for the next 3 years it’s future proof
You can, But I always recommend having both the slots populated with the same brand and amount of memory! I ran into problems on an older Acer laptop, factory installed 8GB + 16GB aftermarket RAM. After replacing a single factory installed 8GB stick with 16GB, the RAM ran at 2133Mhz instead of 3200 even though both are rated to run at 3200Mhz. We had to replace both with identical RAM to get it to run at 3200Mhz. I don't know if HP has this issue, but Acer sure does, you can always give it a try, and buy another 16GB stick if it doesn't work at the rated speed.
One thing I should mention, high-performance gaming notebooks like this one will always run hot and have average battery backup! one can't have both on the x86 platform, if good battery life and less heat is your priority, get the new Apple M1 Mac or a Windows laptop with an ultra-low voltage processor. So, If you want raw performance then this laptop is a great choice under 90K, but as I have shown in the video, it runs hot and on average the battery won't last beyond 4 - 4 and a half hours even with the battery saver on.
Bhai, I am from Pakistan. Aap please mujhy yeh bta sakty hain keh is kai thermals kaisy hain? Heavy usage par zyada heatup to nahi hota, yah normal gaming laptops ki tarha thermals hain isky or normal gaming laptops ki tarha yeh heatup bhi hota hai? Thermal throttling ki waja sai performance par tou koi effect nahi aata yah aata hai? Or kiya cooling system normal gaming laptops ki tarha hai (achi hai) yah nahi? Thank you.
Can you please share information about the wireless card, is it a realtek card and is the wireless connection stable or does it experience disconnects?
No problem man! always happy to help. And IDK what's with TH-cam, it doesn't recommend the other upgrade tutorial video, I keep getting comments similar to yours here.😂
Hey, can you confirm if the screen is ~ 100% sRGB in this? As saw one review where he mentioned although it's 72% ntsc but the sRGB is close to 64% only. Can you check it, if it's true?
The sRGB color gamut covers about 72% of the NTSC gamut. This means NTSC 72% would be equivalent of 100% sRGB Give this a read: www.lifewire.com/lcd-monitors-and-color-gamuts-833038
Both have their pros and cons, the bottom line is If you want a notebook to listen to music, watch TH-cam, Netflix, browse the internet, edit videos and do video calls and have insanely long battery life then get the MacBook Air M1. If you want a notebook that runs high-end games and is upgradable then get this HP Gaming Laptop.
I have recently purchased it and it runs fans at high speed randomly (resulting in noise) even when I'm browsing on chrome, I have changed advanced power settings to 97% for max processor state and cooling process to passive as recommended by HP official site. The issue still persists, is it normal? Also, I haven't installed any games or large software like MATLAB or Solidworks yet which I plan on doing eventually. I also ran diagnostics and the fans are fine according to them.
It is pretty normal for the fan to run while doing non-intensive work on these high-performance notebooks, these high core count processors run hot. This is normal and I would not worry about it. However, if you want to make the notebook run quieter then you could tweak a hidden setting, it sacrifices a bit of CPU power, but will make the laptop run a lot cooler and quieter, I have a video on how to do it here: th-cam.com/video/pbcSz5kwevw/w-d-xo.html
I have replaced the ssd with Samsung 980 pro 1TB ssd for the same laptop model, but when I did crystaldiskmark speed test, it is showing 3500MB/SEC.....the actual speed should be 7000MB/SEC as per the ssd specification....is there any settings to change to achieve original read speed
I'm almost 100% sure that the problem is that this drive is expecting PCIe Gen 4 and the machine is Gen 3. Which completely explains the difference of 50%. And in general, this is his only drawback (well, maybe the battery should have been a little bigger, but I shouldn't get too carried away :)) for so much money - so much tech.
Its normal for gaming laptops to have this kind of battery backup! Its just the way it is with these high performance CPUs. If you want battery backup, then you will have to go with laptop with those low power CPUs
@@TechGuyCharlie bro i have decreased all performance settings like power plan, battery saver ,low brightness after all of these settings my performance decrease but my battery is still there at 2.5 to 3 hrs
hey I saw this product specs in flipkart same model. It says it can only be upgraded till 16 gb. But you said it we can upgrad till 32gb.Are you sure about that and how about the ssd upgradability ? Can you install another ssd or can you only add another hdd?
I haven't tested the Acer Nitro 5, so can't recommend one or say what it's like. However, this laptop has been working great! It's gonna be a year soon and I have faced zero issues, it pretty much stays on 24x7.
Great to find this channel while I was on search for ec2076AX review. Video is very professionally narrated and has so much content and practical results about the laptop that watching a 22 min video was all worth. @charlie i am after content creator laptop and usage primarily in Adobe Lightroom 80% and photoshop 20% with RAW image processing (No videos). Would you suggest me HP pavilion 15 ec2076AX or any alternative to this? My requirement is Ryzen 7 5800x with 15.6"or greater, 100% sRGB screen. Budget is ~90K. I am not after powerful GPU as gaming is not requirement and Adobe image processing majorly rely on CPU cores and expensive GPU performance (compared to low end GPU) is not evident, where i can save money.
Thank you, Rakesh. I've done a lot of market research before finally settling on this particular model, and there is really no other laptop that gives you all this at 90k, especially if you are looking for one that comes with a 100% sRGB screen with the R7 5800H. I have also bought this primarily for the CPU performance as editing and rendering 4K puts a lot of stress on the processor and I love it, the 5800H is a beast, bump the RAM up to 32gigs and you've got an awesome laptop. I've got an upgrade guide video coming next week for this laptop! stay tuned.
@@TechGuyCharlie I trust on your research and now checking on best deal on this one. I will wait for upgrade guide video. Please let's us know cost and link to buy compatible ram for future upgrade. Please also mention why given 8+8 is better that 16+0 combination (as you have highlighted in video). On same the logic is there any harm 8+16 upgrade than 16+16
AMD Ryzen hates Single channel RAM with a passion, and having one 16GB stick will make the RAM run in single channel, and that has a massive impact on performance, so always go with two memory sticks either 8+8 or 16+16. There should be no problem having 8+16, but generally, its best to have identical RAM sticks in both the slots, same memory capacity, density and brand.
@@TechGuyCharlie so u mean it is normal if I play high graphics game for 2-3 hours while temperature remains around 90 . R u sure that it won't affect the life of laptop?
I have two dell laptops both are i3 10th gen I use them for emails,ms office and web browsing and not games But they freeze a lot. I don’t have any files but still they freeze So I was thinking of buying macbook air m1 or hp ryzen 7 5800h Which one do you think won’t hang even for a second? Budget is not a factor for me but I hate those moments when the screen just frrezes due to update of software and sometimes for no reason Please suggest my friend I only want to go witn apple or hp and no other brand
Hey Matt, the screen freezes most likely due to the laptop having a slow mechanical hard drive rather than an SSD, I've got an old laptop with a 4th Gen i3 working flawlessly, I never had any hang-ups after upgrading to a solid-state drive (SSD) Now coming to your question, if you want a laptop just for web browsing, E-Mail, or office work then MacBook Air M1 is the best choice, but keep in mind Apple has a pretty closed ecosystem and it feels very different compared to Windows, but on the plus side, the M1 Macs have phenomenal battery life, they run silent and barely get warm under normal use.
Broooo, I've taken this one yesterday. Can you please say what kind of SSD does it have? Coz mine have this WD SSD. I should get Samsung SSD with this price. Samsung's read and write speeds are much better than WD's. So bro please say me which company's SSD that you got?
Watch the video bro, I have explained everything including the brand of the SSD which comes pre-installed with this model and if you are looking at upgrade guide, I've got a video on that as well. th-cam.com/video/ug_LBtbehjw/w-d-xo.html
Guyz I want a recommendation on Asus tuf A15 ryzen 7 4800h 16gb ram/512ssd rtx 3050 AND hp pavilion ryzen 7 5800 h 16gb ram/512 ssd rtx 3050 ,I don't like the design of hp and it doesn't even have RGB. I want some help to know that which one is best.
Iam sure you have already bought one of them but if you want rgb and better battery then go for Asus, performance wise hp is just a slight better you won't even notice a difference when comparing both
hi bro.. could you suggest me one laptop hp pavilion (ryzen 7 5800H | 16gb RAM and 512 SSD | rtx 3050 and price is 73k rupees ) or hp victus (ryzen 7 5800H | 8GB RAM and 512 SSD | rtx 3050 and price is 78k rupees ) my use -> for video editing, photo editing,coding.... could you suggest me good laptop..
That is very difficult to predict as technology changes and evolves very quickly, nothing is future proof, but from my pervious experience this should be good for about 5 years or so for gaming and 10+ years for general purpose tasks like browsing the web and playing older or less GPU intensive games. I've still got my 3rd gen i7 desktop PC, its about 10 years old and is still great for doing everyday tasks.
Nice review. Due to my limited budget, I only got the Ryzen 5 5600h model (ec- 2087ax), but it still performs like a beast 🔥 Edit: My model has 250 nits of brightness instead of 300 :(

@@TechGuyCharlie thanks, very nice video. Straight to the point and no time wasting.
Waiting for your upcoming video.
If I was to pick between this and the MSI 63gf63? Corei5 11500, which would you suggest?
I haven't seen or tested the MSI GF63 so I cant say.
@@TechGuyCharlie thank you
How to lessen the heat when playing games? Like on Asus gaming laptop you can use it on silent mode and performance mode
you can undercvolt using ryzen software and also you can code a bit and you can set fans to 100%
Using this lap for 1 year now
I have recently purchased it and it runs fans at high speed randomly (resulting in noise) even when I'm browsing on chrome, I have changed advanced power settings to 97% for max processor state and cooling process to passive as recommended by HP official site.
Best review
Thank you! 😊
perfect review ,, plz review lenova legion 5 comes with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H RTX3050 or 3050Ti
Thanks man, and maybe If Lenovo sends one over, I will review it. 😉
How to change colour of the laptop
Thanks for the video. Does this laptop support dual monitor?
I think yes
I’m not sure but I think yes
asus tuf fx505gd or hp pavilion gaming 15 ?
Havent tested the Asus laptop, so cant say.
bro i have also bought this laptop but my battery is not so good it only last for 3 hours maximum plz tell me something to solve this problem
You should watch the upgrade video I made about this laptop, that should answer all your questions: th-cam.com/video/ug_LBtbehjw/w-d-xo.html
On amazon it's written we can expand up to 16gb ram and you said it's 32
That is incorrect, you can upgrade to 32GB, go watch my upgrade guide video: th-cam.com/video/ug_LBtbehjw/w-d-xo.html
Hey man im about to buy this laptop can you tell me how much fps does it run in CSGO pls
Hi! Just want to ask which is better, this laptop or the acer nitro 5 rtx 3050?
I haven't tested the Acer Nitro 5, so can't recommend one or say what it's like. However, this laptop has been working great! It's gonna be a year soon and I have faced zero issues, it pretty much stays on 24x7.
@@TechGuyCharlie awesome! Thanks 👍
Have you guys faced any hinge issues?
None at all! the hinges are as good as they were the day I bought this laptop.
Bro there is 512 gb ssd can I add 1tb ssd to it
Does this laptop have USB 3.0 ?
I cant find the purple anywhere :,((
Bro am having 90b problem which gpu fan not working correctly and it is new laptop
Can we insert 2x16 gb ram as mentioned ?
You should watch my upgrade tutorial about this laptop th-cam.com/video/ug_LBtbehjw/w-d-xo.html
Does the screen heat up after running for few hours?
Not at all! Gets a bit warm from the bottom, but that is normal, that is where the LED backlight is.
@@TechGuyCharlie that's a quick reply!! Thanks a lot bud🤗
It is indeed a great review video, keep going :)
Is it normal for a gaming laptop to have CPU temperatures ranging from 80 c to 90 c while gaming?
Yup, totally normal, while rendering 4k videos it can even go up to 95 degrees. I wouldn't worry about it.
I have this laptop it used to touch 96 when playing valorant. I just replaced the thermal paste with liquid metal coolant and now it doesn't cross 86.
Are these cpu temperatures normal?
Totally normal, these CPUs can run as hot as 100 degrees under 3D rendering load when both CPU and the GPU are stressed to the max. I wouldn't worry.
@@TechGuyCharlie so u mean it is normal if I play high graphics game for 2-3 hours while temperature remains around 90 . R u sure that it won't affect the life of laptop?
bro i have windos 11 update mine not showing
Dell gaming g15 ryzen 5 5600 & hp pavilion ryzen 7 5800 which is best ? Sir
I haven't tested out the Dell G15 laptop, so cant say.
@@TechGuyCharlie tq sir
I am confused between Asus tuf A17 ryzen 7 4800h vs HP pavilion ryzen 7 5800h, which one should I consider bro ?
Don't go with Ryzen 7 4800h its quite old and consumes a lot more power compared to the newer 5800h.
@@TechGuyCharlie Thanks for your reply man, but I already ordered Tuf a17 today itself. Because of its build quality, battery backup, etc.
@hemangrathod1748 checked a comparison of both the laptops. The guy said there is not a big difference
Is Wd green 2tb is supportable bro
I don't see a reason why not.
Is the keyboard purple or is that just the led lights
I meant is the keyboard like painted purple
Yes, it is indeed painted purple, but the LEDs are also purple though.
I have two dell laptops both are i3 10th gen
I use them for emails,ms office and web browsing and not games
But they freeze a lot. I don’t have any files but still they freeze
So I was thinking of buying macbook air m1 or hp ryzen 7 5800h
Which one do you think won’t hang even for a second?
Budget is not a factor for me but I hate those moments when the screen just frrezes due to update of software and sometimes for no reason
Please suggest my friend
I only want to go witn apple or hp and no other brand
If gaming isn't a priority buy MacBook
Hey Matt, the screen freezes most likely due to the laptop having a slow mechanical hard drive rather than an SSD, I've got an old laptop with a 4th Gen i3 working flawlessly, I never had any hang-ups after upgrading to a solid-state drive (SSD)
Now coming to your question, if you want a laptop just for web browsing, E-Mail, or office work then MacBook Air M1 is the best choice, but keep in mind Apple has a pretty closed ecosystem and it feels very different compared to Windows, but on the plus side, the M1 Macs have phenomenal battery life, they run silent and barely get warm under normal use.
Bro I have facing problem while playing GTA v is flickering
Iam sure you have already bought one of them but if you want rgb and better battery then go for Asus, performance wise hp is just a slight better you won't even notice a difference when comparing both
hi bro..
could you suggest me one laptop
hp pavilion (ryzen 7 5800H | 16gb RAM and 512 SSD | rtx 3050 and price is 73k rupees ) or
hp victus (ryzen 7 5800H | 8GB RAM and 512 SSD | rtx 3050 and price is 78k rupees )
my use -> for video editing,photo editing,coding....
could you suggest me good laptop..
16gb ram is better and is also cheaper by 5k
Would you say this laptop is future proof? How many years would you say this laptop could last, and keep up with modern games? Thanks!
Due to my limited budget, I only got the Ryzen 5 5600h model (ec-
2087ax), but it still performs like a beast 🔥
Edit: My model has 250 nits of brightness instead of 300 :(
Thank you! btw for gaming, Ryzen 5 5600h is a beast! I went with R7 only because I want to render 4K videos.
@@TechGuyCharlie in ryzen 7 model how is the gaming performance
Can this laptop support 2x32gb RAM?
Most likely it will, but I haven't tried upgrading to 64GB, so cant confirm 100%.
