I'm a home automation nerd and was looking through your other videos to see if you mention this feature or not... but dexcom integrates with home assistant for home automations. so i can have my glucose shown on a tablet mounted to my wall that also controls my lights and has my security camera feeds... but beyond that i can even set automations based on my readings... i recently set one up that if my sugar is low AND trending down at night it will automatically turn on the lights in the bedroom to wake me up. it can only get more interesting from there... im working on an automation that will alert my wife if my sugar is critical and i'm not physically near her.
Does it work for the follow app? My daughter has type 1 and it show’s notifications on my watch but not on the face
I’m so happy I found your channel. My dad is type 2 after having a Whipple procedure about 15 years ago. He had another change in his medial status so I was able to switch him from the Libre 2 to a Dexcom - so excited to not have to constantly bug him to scan his arm all the time!! Thanks for all the helpful videos, I feel so much more confident when it comes in the mail this weekend.

Completely forgot about the 2 hour warmups on the old ones 😂 the g7 has a 25min warmup. Crazy
Love your channel, and I watch many of your videos. On this one, we seem to have a new way to add complications on iWatch, so you may want to update. I’ve done this new way but often my Dexcom doesn’t show up on screen, just shows a cube with three lines. Any ideas?

Hello. Excellent video, thank you! I successfully have my Dexcom app on my Apple Watch 6, and put a complication on my home screen. (super convenient!) but the number keeps disappearing. Often reads "---". When I tap it, it comes back, but why does it keep doing this? Thanks in advance!

Anyway to send the readings from a smartwatch (if it contains SIM card) to another phone? I mean using a child smartwatch to send the readings to the parent phone using the following option. We give our kid a phone but that would be nice if can be sent just from my kids watch!

HI~~ love your videos!! I am just wondering - is that a monitor behind you on your shelf? It looks like an old alarm clock but shows your sugars and I would love to have this for work as I am a massage therapist and i wouldn't have to keep my phone in the room with the app open.

Hello, which apple watch series version and watch os etc do you use successfully with Dexcom G6? I recently got burned by Garmin only having support for G6 in the US. So now I want to check more carefully for support outside of US.
I’ve been trying to set it up on an older Apple Watch and it’s not working as far as adding it as a complication. You can put the app on your watch and then tap on it to see your blood sugar, but I don’t think you can set a complication on an Apple Watch prior to series 6. At least that’s what I’m finding out.

I can no longer get the shortcut on my watch face. When I try to edit the complications it doesn’t have Dexcom as an option. I have the app on my phone and watch. Any tips on how to get it to show up as a complication?
What series is your Apple Watch? I THINK it only works with series 6 or higher

I was able to use the Dexcom app on my iPhone 4 & also on my 11 & 13. My Apple Watch 3 will accept the app but I can’t get the complication to go on the home screen. I believe you need a six or higher - watch, that is).

I have an android phone and Samsung galaxy 4 watch. Found a video on TH-cam to get the dexcom watch face. So much easier than constantly pulling out my phone or closing Netflix/TH-cam to check, but still no widget for me phone

Think it depends which DC version you have. I have DC1 in the UK and there’s no widget.
Watcj OS 9 has removed the Infograph Modular Face.....any idea how else to get Dexcom on my watchface?

Many of these features (Siri, phone widget and Apple Watch new face widgets support) not being available outside US for more than a year is ridiculous.
well its easy to install dexcom g6 on the watch.. But can you do the same thing with mini med without downloading 50 million apps.
You can’t send MiniMed app to your Apple Watch, at least I couldn’t. After five years on Medtronic, I was never able to do it, but good for you if you were!
@Robin Parker never could do it myself the watch says trying to connect to gym equipment.
I have an Android phone and I can get my #'s on the notifications screen bkt that takes about the same time as just opening the app. I can however add a Dexcom button to my lock screen so I can open the app in one swipe. I don't have a watch. I gave that up along time ago. FREEDOM!

@@Fe0603 No when I was on the Libre 1 I always had to scan the sensor with my phone. The G6 uses Blutooth to connect so it is always conected when in range.

I have Dexcom running on both my iPhone and Apple watch. And when I ask Siri on my phone it will give me my glucose reading. At one time I was able to ask Siri on my watch what's my glucose? and it would speak it back to me via my watch. It no longer does this and I have tried numerous times to get it to work but unsuccessfully. I have reloaded the app on the watch and when asked Siri comes back: "I do not recognize that command. What short cut do you want to run?" I have not tried reloading the G6 app on the iPhone as of yet. Any fix suggestions?

My sister had to move in with us so I could take care of her when her sugar levels go up high or down low. I’ll hear her Dexcom go off she doesn’t so I get up to check on her. She is 65. Is there a way I can have a second monitor to keep at my bedside. I’m in very next room.
You can add Dexcom Follow. Her readings will be sent to you. On her settings add you on the share screen. There are TH-cam videos as well.
It would be nice to get the reading on the watch without the phone being next to the watch. I have the new Ultra Watch from Apple that has its o an SIM card…so basically I can make calls directly from the Watch. I would you should be able to get dexcom reading directly to the new ultra watch…effectively the watch is a phone with its own SIM card
