Hello everyone, it's Thales Moustache here and today I'll show you the Flying Bombardier Insect Glaive Build! With 952 Attack, 360 Blast, 100% Affinity, Power Prolonger 3, Constitution 3 and Infinite Purple Sharpness, this build guarantees Chill Hunts with no trouble even vs the Strongest Monsters in MR, have fun!

Thanks for the build man. I didn't use the Safi set because of the health drain but this looks really good, going to grind this one out when I get home!
For a heads up, this can be built with many set bonuses. Not just with Safi set, but with many other two piece sets like golden rathian and nergigante, very flexible, this was the first set I made on the release of Safi a few weeks ago. Also, if you don't have handicraft jewels. Just augment another line of sharpness, remove the sharpness VI, instead have a single like of critical VI. Then run 3 weakness exploit. So weapon will be:
Teostra, sharpness V, sharpness V, Critical VI, Attack V
Weakness exploit and air glaive doesnt work very well, your sharpness will plummet.
I kind of miss when you would say "Beta Plus" haha

Pretty much what I am using. Nice thing is that you can really play around with utility skills (you can drop power prolonger and blast attack and the build still works fine)
I started doing this with IG a week ago because I read he's week to blast and surprisingly used the same set. But I didn't have a blast IG so I was using a Dragon IG and making my insect spread blast powder and blast him.
Alright well I know what I’m going to be grinding for when Safi comes to PC. This build looks like a lot of fun!

Ive been reading that with level 3 flinch free and triple kinsect buff, u can get free 3 levels of earplugs, 3 level tremor resist and 3 level wind resistance

This is the build I been looking for!! I made it but I don’t have physique jewels and I only have 1 handicraft jewel and no expert+4 jewel so I’m kinda screwed I guess

Right now I’m using a Brachy glaive with a blast dust kinsect and whenever the monster I’m fighting gets KO-ed I would send my kinsect at the head and start spamming.
EXPLOSIONS GALORE
except you lose either Safi bonus or MS because you cant slot masters touch soul on a Brachy. thus this build isnt the one you use

insect glaive is so fun but im new to it. i find it much easier to get hit compared to hammer,ls,lance,etc.
im new with this weapon tried this build , any tip for small monsters? because keep missing them reduces my health
I have the exact same Insect glaive with the same buffs but it doesnt reach Purple sharpness even with Handicraft charm :'(

My thing is, ive been enjoying this build for teh last few days but he went against banbaro in an arena......go against a tiny monster that attacks fast and your hp is gonna go down real fast if you aint careful enough. But it is extremely fun doe.
I dont have any handicraft jewels, but I have everything else, should I just not worry about it, or do some sort of substitute?

Yes all the classes lol just gotta tenderize and attack value hitzones for additional dmg . Sns does the most with the perfect rush and that dmg is obtained with that weapon shocking I know

I made an elemental version of this.
Dropped the sharpness and atk awakening on weapon for affinity VI+element V+V.
Changed handicraft for coalesence and slotted in a 3rd coalesence.
Change charm to element, slot in the last one.
Gets infinite white, 1159atk, 650 element with Coa active ^^
how do you have 100% affinity. (max crit eye 40%)+(affinity increase 1 augment 10%)+(affinity increase 5 awakened ability10%x2)+(attack boost4 5%) is only 75% am i missing something?

I'm an IG veteran and despite knowing that ground attacks are better, I just love playing aerial. This is going to be my new end goal now that IB is on PC.
Having fun is always more important than a slightly higher DPS :)

how did you reach 100% affinity? you have 40% + 5% + 10%(occasional) + 35% = 80% and 90% (occasional)

I think this build is one of the strongest. I thought I made a solid build but this one does about 25% more damage. So I'm gonna switch
Uhhh no. My speedrun IG build has:
Attack Boost lvl 7
Agitator lvl 5
Resentment lvl 5
Weakness Exploit lvl 3
The Safi weapon has:
Attack 6
Attack 5
Attack 5
Sharpness 5
Teostra Technique
It also has 100% affinity and a few QoL skills like Health Boost and Divine Blessing. Aerial IG builds are subpar damage compared to basic ground combos. This is a fun build that does decent damage but nowhere near the best, speaking in terms of meta dps builds. At the end of the day though, play what's fun for you.

@@TheSnapeworts i honestly couldnt tell you anymore lol, it's been a while since this comment and meta has changed a few times. I can tell you that the build I'm running with now consisting of Raging Brachy and Furious Rajang pieces is probably the most overpowered build I've ever ran with in terms of max dps and max survivability. I can break it down for you if you want my current build.

How come both teos and safi skill activated when you only use 2 kaiser?
'Teostra Technique' from his weapon. When that weapon is equipped it gives 1 bonus Teostra armor piece bonus. To be more specific, it gives 1 masters touch bonus. so with the 2 kaiser piece he already has on, that makes 3 which is what it needs to activate the masters touch effect.

Im wearing all the same gear and have all the upgrades, but am stuck at 90% affinity. Not sure if i missed something but cant seem to get that last 10%

Make sure you have Teostra Technique as an Awakened Ability in your weapon :)

Dude my max potential is around 46 and I STILL havent gotten Teostra technique ;__;
Save your game then Change it up by picking a different bonus. Try until you run out of safi parts and if you don’t get it reload your save and pick something different. You’ll get it eventually with unlimited tries. Good luck

Why your health bar keeps going down? I can't figure it out :(
Jonatan fullola siscart safi set effect. Gives you more affinity and element/blast build up, but keeps you losing life every hit. But if you keep hitting continuously it heals you back up. So, just don’t miss your attacks hahaha

How do you get the health instantly back?
I lose 1/4 of my health first and then i start regenerating it

a bit of an augment noob but how do you get all 3 of thoes on there? the weap only has 4 aug slots, affinity takes up 2, health takes up 3 and status up takes up 1. thats 6 slots. using one of the aug levels on aug slot wont mess it up?
Safi weapon can be empowered with additional augments. This can be done by grinding safi for a material and upgrading the weapon at the forge. It basically allows you to have 8 augments on the weapon

Sns and dual blades got a special combo to wound immediately. Every light weapon should get this option except maybe gun Lance since most damage comes from shelling. In IG case from the aerial claw attack.

I had almost same stored potential because I wanted to add Spirit and Strength Kinsect Bonus.
I really almost cried when I saw my Large Dracolites vanishing one by one.
A tip for you. Even you didnt get master touch skil,slot other armor skill 1st.then it will pop out more easy. Sorry for bad english

is this still doable btw? i have max crit eye, and 2 affinity 5 awakens but i only have 70% crit
i know i dont have the affinty augment but that only bumps it up 10%. Am i missing something..?
I got the same thing. Turns out, in the set builder the boots give you 20% crit magically ...
except I'm missing something aswell
Nevermind, got it. You get +20% affinity after latent power level 2 triggers --> 100% Affinity
I stand corrected, the Safi set buff grants 20% affinity, thus you get to 100% as soon as you draw your weapon. So yes, it is still doable :)

Greetings there, I dint have the luxury to build this yet, still base on calculation how do you get 100% Affinity?
Safi Awaken V x2 = 30%
Weapon Aug = 10%
Decoration = 40%
wheres another 20?
2x Affinity V Awakened Abilities on the weapon, that's another 20% :)
Nevermind I found it, from Safi armor 🙂
Dragonvein awakening gives you the the other 20% ....draw your weapon and watch the magic happen.
Insect glaives are the best. Idiots who dont know their power are still switch axe and katana mains.
To bad I can’t even make this build. I never could farm enough materials from safi to craft any of his armor and now nobody does it. Then I can’t even augment because I haven’t unlocked any of the monster parts😔
Loads of people run safi. Just filter search when you matchmake
