Ok, my hubby is from Philly and locals don't eat the cheese whiz version, that's more touristy. The locals eat the provolone and it comes with a pickle on it. Some add mayo, some don't but def makes it tastier!

I like to add the provolone or mozzarella cheese to the roll to act as a gasket between the meat and roll keeping it from getting soggy, I also like to add the cheese wiz to the meat after its cooked and well combined like a Sause no veggies for me carnivore style then wrap it up in butcher paper or parchment before eating to let everything steam and hold together nicely
@@southernketo I just got the ingredients going to try this weekend I have been making other things like chaffles and cottage cheese bread in the past I want to also try your but maybe use pork rind crumbs instead of almond flour and baking soda with vinegar instead of baking powder I will add the vinegar to the cheese and the baking powder to the panko

Thanks! Yes, Chris is a good friend of mine now through TH-cam. He made a video and recipe for carnivore mashed potatoes which are absolutely amazing and I did a video making his recipe real early. Now, I can't not make it whenever I have family get togethers, because no one can tell a difference between those and regular mashed potatoes.. He has recommended my channel to his subscribers and vice versa. He's like a wizard in the kitchen. He does mostly carnivore stuff and I think he's the most inventive chef out there... Anyway, tell him I sent you. 😁 And definitely make his carnivore mashed potatoes...

Well, how is that depends on if you want a more bread like or a more dense filling vessel... I love them both! If it were me, I would try Chris's first 🤣
I think that Chris's would work okay in the silicone too. May not hold it's shape as much as his does with the harder mold. I think it would work fine, though. I have made his Big Mac buns in individual silicone molds before and they came out great 😃
Oh yeah! We have our travel trailer and we save the bacon grease from the microwave bacon cooker and the grease from the cast iron after cooking burgers and steaks to cook with... We did Philly cheese steak bowls last summer
@southernketo love the content from 2 of my favorite Keto indluencers brotha. 2 months into Keto to the day after finding out I was type 2 diabetic, down 12 pounds and blood glucose down to 98 (avg low sub 110's from 297 on day of diagnosis). My Dr. Priginally recommended south beach but after a recommendation from a friend and doing some research and seeing a litrle overlap I decided to go Keto instead. 1 month post diagnosis my Dr. Said whatever you're doing dont stop now! watching from Dallas, TX

I made Chris's philly rolls. They were beautiful after baking. When I came back to them after the 25 min cool down in the oven they had fallen. Still delicious but very thin to try and slice. What might have caused them to fall?

Hi and welcome! It really depends on you as an individual. I used mostly all of these while losing, myself. My wife did, also. Everyone is a little different. I like Dr Berg and a lot of his recommendations. I ate salads as well while losing weight and getting healthy, but never seven cups. Some people, especially those with metabolic disorders, can't eat salad at all. What I do with my recipes is get the carbs as low as possible so I can can still eat the foods I enjoy. The first thing I would say to do if you are new is to weigh at the beginning and throw the scale away for 1 to 2 months. Base your progress on how you are feeling and how your clothes are fitting, if weight loss is your goal. I recommend a third to a half of your plate be meat, especially fatty meat and the rest with my side dishes or salad or whatever you like. Hope this helps. It's really an experiment to know what your body likes. One thing is for sure, if you eat my recipes instead of the standard American diet, cut out the sugar and processed junk, your health will improve. And things like my macaroni and cheese recipe are just for use on occasion. If you eat that everyday, even though it is lower carb, you probably won't get good results, but I can't tell you that for sure because everybody is a little different. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I look forward to hearing about your success! 😁
I'm from the Southern United States and I don't know why they call a lot of things what they call them up North 😂😂😂 . They typically use either shaved ribeye steak or top round steak to make the meat. But I'm with you, I think once you put it on a bun, It should be called something else...
