  • What are the top 3 symptoms I see that make me think HISTAMINE INTOLERANCE? The constellation of symptoms can be broad but these three common symptoms make me suspect a histamine overload. Then we have to determine the root cause and treat it!

Might be an indicator of problem with h2s sibo. Because taurine prevents tinnitus, but if you have bugs that are eating your sulfur amino acids, then you won't have methionine or cysteine to convert to sulfate and taurine

Age mid-50s. Fermented some water kefir and drank it. Five hours later horrendous intermittent migraines, almost constant for the first week, gradually decreasing over subsequent 3 weeks. Never known anything like it, felt like a hard punch in the face. Always eaten many high histamine foods no problem. Completely bizarre.

The worst symptom i experience when i have too much histamine food is anxiety or just a dark mood. Otherwise i dont have this experience. Rash itches number two, then drippy nose. I take 3 ancestral beef kidney for DAO support and 2 quercetin daily and a chemical antihistamine in a bad flare. Fasting helps a ton. Also keeping blood sugar and bowels emptied in check. You don't mention Insomnia as a symptom of histamine issues. I have had major insomnia for 30 years and have recently (3 weeks ago) started a low histamine diet and my sleeping has improved dramatically. Insomnia is so common, yet I very rarely see it linked to histamine intolerance. Also, age is a factor. As we get older it seems that processing of histamine is compromised. Sleeping problems are common with older people. There IS a connection, I believe.

Histamine problems have caused me: sneezing, sniffling, wheezing, itchy skin, itchy inner ears, facial flushing, cysts inside my mouth, numbness in the lower half of my face, tinnitus, breakouts on my face and back caused by inflammation, severe chronic fatigue or inability to stay asleep, getting drenched in sweat from overheating and then chilled to the bone and freezing, internal tremors, external tremors, chest pain, cough, eye inflammation, blurry vision, acid reflux, vomiting, brain fog, memory loss, dissociation, ADHD and OCD symptoms, tachycardia, nosebleeds, insatiable hunger, unquenchable thirst, severe bladder irritation, irregular periods, hair loss, dizziness in direct sunlight, bloating, IBS symptoms, pain that's immune to pain reliever, contagious illnesses are all 4 times the severity and duration they are in a normal person, and maaaany other things throughout every system of my body... 🙃
Based on your experience, do you think I'm correct in assuming I'm probably more on the MCAS side of things? We eliminated some foods after reading a book, that talked about reading labels, and knowing what is in the food we eat. We started years ago, and buy non GMO, and organic when possible. You should do a cleanse. Some fasting will help, and eat vegetables that are low in histamine. Chlorella is good to cleanse the blood. Still... what we breathe can do damage (speaking from experience). Perfumes, scented products, the chemicals in them. I am trying to control some symptoms, it takes effort, and patience. Probiotics will help a lot, to get the healthy floral back in your digestive track. This will help with all those symptoms as well.

  • @custodiansrock

My doctor recently diagnosed me as having hestimine intolerance. We are working together on reducing the symptoms. I've eliminated eating items on the hestimine food chart. It has helped, but DAO enzyme seems to be the key.
Two additional symptoms I've encountered are: a funny taste in the mouth, and (this one's really weird) reaction to accessive pressure on the skin like you would experience during a massage or chiropractic treatment. This has happened several times, and it wasn't until last week that I made the connection.
One positive is that since following the histamine food chart, my heartburn stopped immediately. It's been two weeks, and no heartburn. Amazing, as it was a nightly problem.
    Definitely, more research is needed.
    Here's to your good health!

When I removed those foods from my diet, I still felt terrible. Then I stumbled across HIT. I feel much better when I eat a low histamine diet, try to minimize stress and environmental irritants. I am not able to take DAO supplements as I am extremely allergic to corn and it’s derivatives which is in almost everything. It is a lot of work and I have a way to go to feel much better but with help like your’s, I believe I will get there.

I know most doctors will not answer this but since I have been dealing with this since I was a child some 60 yrs after having Trench Mouth afterwards I had it all over my feet and ankles till I had my first Child was gone and returned 12 years ago. I have had severe Histamine problems since I was a teenager over the last 2 years I have done lots of searching for relief from a stomach acid problem that I have seen connects many of my issues with high histamine sometimes to the point of anaphylaxis which means I go nowhere without out taking stinging Nettle or Berberine Plus with as well as Electrolyte water.

You say migraines but what about migraine auras, could they be caused by histamine?

  • @lando2755
    @lando2755 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Could it cause like post nasal drip only, like feel like you have to clear your throat because it feels like tight or sore and feel like you have a lot of mucus in your lungs? I’ve been dealing with that since like 8th grade and it usually gets worse with anxiety and stress I always thought it was just getting older and it’s just anxiety and stress but maybe it’s histamine and stress.

So glad you got to the root cause! There are definitely other issues causing vertigo than ear imbalances for some but that's a good place to start for sure

I have been dizzy for a month and a half and finally think it is histamine overload. I am a heavy drinker and low on magnesium. All the sudden when I drink even one beer I get hives and horrible headaches, ear clogs and dizziness and ringing is worse. What do I do? Quoting drinking and now taking magnesium but not better yet. Thanks!!!

Though i am a doctor, it took many years to figure it out that I have HI. I should have looked out the symptom constellation. If any one knows the way to fight with this trouble other than anti histaminics, diamine oxidase and diet, let me know please.

Hi There, thank you for this video and I am still trying to find out the mystery illness I may have and wonder if it is indeed histamine intolerance. I am 55 years old male, healthy for the most part. I do have somewhat borderline thyroid problems, but my thyroid still works. I have a couple of food intolerance according to one test I have had (mainly gluten, lactose and egg yoke). My symptoms are vary - I do have tingling and itchin sensession around my head, dizziness and vertigo like symptoms, sometimes headache, but not much sinus problems. I sense inflammation in my body mostly around my joints. How can I know if this indeed is histamine intolerance? If not, what would you recommend me to find out what it might be?

Yeah this is a histamine intolerance
You should do carnivore for some months and don't consume any thing triggers you and also eat organ meats not just meat , and war fatty meat not lean meat , that's it 👌

I have histamine and salicylates intolerance doctor really cant figure out why I have eczema, hives, migraine, sinus, palpitation, vertigo, tinnitus.... so I do my own research by watching lot of doctor here in TH-cam. and when I found the food need to eliminate I become better but yeah after 2yrs I'm here again back on those intolerance, cuz if I stop eating all those food I will just drink water as my meal😂

I read on another channel that it can be, people who sneeze/cough when you're around are reacting to the high histamine levels that are expelled from the body and they end up reacting to it, the same way they might react to dust, or pets or pollen. I don't know about the body odour, but I'm hoping it's all related.

Migraines above my left eye, always had a stuffy nose and it switches all the time! Constant mucus I my throat and hard time breathing. Body heat increase after meal, tired and red flushing/heat gathers in my cheeks and ears + sweat. After taking DAOSIN I can sense huge relief and I am so happy I started. It’s not completely gone, but I hope after a 48 hour fast and adding kidney supplements to my daily routine I can get rid of most of my histamine intolerance 🩷
