Not sure if you noticed, but the apartments weren’t filling because the amount of Sims you were trying to fill the vacancy with didn’t match the listing. The number of Sims plus the amount they can pay in rent needs to match, and have a check mark to fill it. Just fyi!!! Loved the vid lol
@@MsWolfMidnight Look at 9:49 - she clicks on unit 17, then clicks on a tenant with both check marks and it still doesn't work. Then she does the same thing again and it doesn't work again. It was bugged.
For me, the hundred units per save limit seems entirely reasonable. Unless you have a gameplay style that will send you across multiple families at a time, you likely won't end up even needing to make that many rental lots in a single save. Personally, I have plans to make maybe one or two apartment buildings max in a fresh save that I will actually play with. Otherwise, I'll probably just be building townhouses that I won't use.
i agree, like i definitely am not going to put residential rentals in every neighborhood. especially not the occult worlds, san myshuno or evergreen harbor because for my gameplay style they don’t need any rental lots.

This would be so neat for those challenges where you run a prison though. Set every cell as a rental unit, your warden quarters as the landlord's unit, set the rent to be a bit over the taxes (the feds are paying you per prisoner), set all the common areas and activity space as shared.
If lilsimsie ever needs a resume, this video should go at the top of it because the mental control needed to survive this lag is unreal lol. It's almost unbearable to watch haha
so apparently you can turn the eye icon on and off in build mode so once you are done setting up a unit you can turn the eye off so you dont see it and it will run better in build mode. I imagine this will save us builders some time once it comes out, but yeah thats a lot of units to render at once

Yes, you can own as many rental lots as you can afford. You can still only live on one lot, whether that's in one of the rentals or on your private residential lot. The landgraabs can absolutely own the entire world and live in their own mansion still
I think the first thing I'll try with this pack is to have multiple families, each with horses, and put a stable as a shared space to see how it'll function 😅
Kayla gets it! I unfollowed Pixelade for being so dismissive of the Sims Team in their limit of only 100 Rental lots in a SAVE, calling them lazy, and being dismissive of them. I'm tired of people being so dismissive of the work the Sims 4 Team puts into something, saying that they're just being lazy, when they can't do something that THEY want the team to do. This is a TEN YEAR OLD GAME! Asking it to do what Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't even do is ridiculous. Keep on Simming everyone, and just remember, this is a 10 year old game that we're all STILL enjoying.
Yea some simmers literally complain about everything and are neveeeerrrr happy. If they would've had no loading screen btw lots people would complain about lag.

The Career World save file will likely wind up having close to the maximum number of units spread across several worlds once I update it for the new pack, in case people want to see what that's like. I've been using fake apartment buildings in that file from the beginning.
I'm bummed about the 100 unit cap, but only because it's per save. I never wanted to put 100 units on one lot, but I was looking forward to having at least two rental buildings in every world so there's lots of places for townies to live and now that won't really be possible. :[

This was pretty fun - I am looking forward to playing both good and evil landlords - maybe twins. But, what I am disappointed that this expansion pack did not allow would be mixing of rental units and commercial spaces. There are SO many commercial spaces (Cafe's, clubs, etc) that have empty spaces all throughout the worlds that could be changed into amazing apartments or rental units, what a missed opporotunity.
An idea I had to keep to the 6 unit limit while still having more than 6 apartments is combining your neighbors units into one household. For example your sims family, the other floors are one unit per floor, and then your surrounding neighbors could also be a unit together. Big apartment building without cheats!
Stanley Humphrey should wear what he wants to wear and he don't look bad when he is dressed. He should be comfortable in his own outfits and he should wear his hotdog oufit anytime he wants but if hes in the business career he should dress the part that he is entitled too

The trailer park I grew up in was, as trailer parks go, pretty nice and very big, so in one save, I plan to use the whole rental maximum to make newcrest into a huge trailer park. 😂 With just like a handful of units per lot, the actual number depending on the lot size. And then I might have a park lot, just because my trailer park DID have a sad little playground in it, so I’d like to give my sims (a much nicer version of) that. 😂
I don't fully understand how cheats work like this, are they something installed/put in by the Sims team? Cuz how else did someone ALREADY figure out a way to cheat more rental untis??
I wonder if it would be laggy if you would divide the 100 unites over all the worlds… I can definitely see myself reaching that maximum that way. Although I recently lost my save file 😭
that's total chaos. lol I use cheats all the time. I don't think I'd ever have 100 units even if divided into several worlds, too much to handle but you could do it if you did divide it across several worlds and had one Sim per one managing them but even then it's a lot. lol.
I'm pretty sure that the lot limit is down to the number of Sims that can exist in a single save file. 100 lots with a max of 8 Sims is potentially 800 additional Sims.

I’m going to try this with the 100000 baby challenge but I’m gonna use money cheats and put the best of everything In there give them a ton of money until they move in, and then cheat there money down a bit but enough to still pay rent
James did this exact thing too but he took all the townies and split then into individual households and moved them in from manage worlds to each of the units so maybe if you do this again you can try that instead of fill vacancy.
