You can equip the Robo arm and it will keep you from getting dazed anymore! Don’t know why it wasn’t letting you do it. But I screamed when you sold it! 😂😂😂
You can't equip it when wearing a fullbody outfit so that's why. I also screamed when she sold it.
It has to be in your inventory to equip it which is why it wasn't working. It's a really useful item for robotics!
AHHHH I didn’t know this! I gave up on the few characters I made that were engineers because even at full skill, I’d just get zapped and be dazed all the time 😩

If you do another unpaused challenge, you should leave the household with a bunch of robots and see how helpful (if at all) they are autonomouslly
They sometimes glitch out and die before their durability is zero too, could be interesting

@@Anime10473 should have perhaps clarified, I have mostly encountered it when unloading and reloading a lot, but it will sometimes take a 100% durability bot and turn it into the scrap that can't be repaired

Napping is the best remedy for being dazed in the game, not sleeping. And the Robo Arm can be equipped and LITERALLY helps keep you from getting electrocuted.

Your Sim wears the Robo Arm and it increases the speed of crafting and skill gain.
Plus if I remember correctly, It'll help with being electrocuted less or at all.

When I used it, I almost never got electrocuted. I think the higher your robot skill, the less you get electrocuted. Also, does she know that tinkering will get you robot parts and skill?
There's robotics skill books so you could make Stanley read during the dazed moodlets
The way I was sadder about Servo than Stanley, she was so innocent 😢😂
And you can resurrect Stanley, but once a servo is dead, the servo is dead forever. They don't have ghosts and can't be revived. 😭

Suggestion for another "can you get rich in the Sims 4 by..." video. At least some of the events you can host have tiered rewards of greater value than it costs to host the event, so can you get rich in the Sims 4 by partying? You could host the events at community lots like the rec centre in order to have all the objects you'd need to complete the tasks.
If I am not mistaken. When robot arms are worn (Yes, You can wear them when they are in your inventory) you have less chances of shocking yourself when working with robotics. On top of that. You get a 25% robotic skill increase (useless at this phase of the skill level) and gain 20% fast crafting speed!
"Now that I have a servo...can I get rid of my wife?" is one of those sentences that would be worrying outside of the Sims.

Robotics being expensive really checks out. A few days ago I looked up the prices of the basic small cat waiter robot they use at some cafes, it goes for like 30 000 USD 😱 At that point I would be terrified to put it in a restaurant with kids running around and drinks spilling everywhere.
Servos are actually really great for legacy-like playthroughs, early generations makes it, and it can act as nanny/cook/mentor/cleaner to the continuing generations so long as you take care of it
Simsie literally needs to do a non-so berry challenge but Instead of colours, it's junk food and first gen it's Stanley 😂😂😂

Whenever a sim asks if they can move in I say yes and then cancel the switching household selection so they don’t get added to my house but they also don’t have a negative sentiment

The cybernetic robo arm helps you get electrocuted less often 😅 you just have to put it in your inventory and wear it.
He was only electrocuted once. The other times he was shocked. She just keeps using the wrong word.

Another suggestion, did you ever notice that you get a lot of upgrade parts in the dumpster? I think you should have gotten Stanley a dumpster instead of a bed, that way he can nap, get his meals, and get goods to get money to fund his hobby. He might still need the bush though.

How do you get a robo-arm?
tbh they represented roborics and stuff similar to roborics, like building PCs and phones very well, it's very hard to learn to do it and it is very expensive to do so. All the parts needed are extremle expensive but we people get a HUGE profite if we make those things cause not a lot of people can or want to make them ^^
It's less expensive skill if you are searching for the parts in garbage. I always have my sims start to pick up their garbage and then drop it or move it in and out of my inventory so they can look for parts in the same garbage over and over.
i’m genuinely very happy for you that you’re most likely getting paid for the sponsorship but i find it very funny that samsung decided to advertise their $2.5k monitor to simmers that usually play their game on their old macbooks from 2017 that sound like a military jet taking off every time they load the sims 😭😭 they do not know the target audience ahaha, it looks so awesome though so i’m jealous!!

I had this family that owned a Toy Store and sold the chatter bots, party bots etc in that store! With the price mark-up, you are able to make a lot of profit!!
(The other stuff i sold in my toy store were knitted plushies, voidcritters, children’s books the family wrote, collectables etc) :D

i love robotics. i have a full solarpunk farm going on in my game with robots and the eco lifestyle stuff. its such a vibe and the robots do all the work for me. Plus, the fixer bot fixes all my broken solar panels and wind turbines.
And those little bots are so cute

Best way I found to get into robotics was during my 100 baby challenge. You end up with a surplus of money because of all the gifts, so you can afford it, and prego mom can't die no matter how many times they get shocked. Of course the downside is you can't add a servo to your household in the challenge. But I considered the other bots fair game since they didn't take up a space in the household.
Of course, robotics takes a lot of time in the beginning. The first step is to find a job for your Sim and slowly create robots. The most important thing is to remove the dazed mood. This can be done using any potion to del negative mood. In my game, I built a herbalism store and bought serums there. You can also make a robotic arm. It reduces the chance of electric shock and it covers the top clothing slot. Next you need to create a Servo, buy a second table where the Servo will make the mechanisms. The servo updates faster when he lern skills.Therefore, you can buy him the books with skills you need and give him! Actually, I created a cleaning bot and a Servo for my veterinary clinic. Servo constantly made medicine for my veterinary clinic. This is such a small factory.
I came home from school sick and feeling carpy. This made my day 10x better ❤❤❤

Just some cool facts about servos in ts4:
If you have a male servo and it gets abducted it can get pregnant. The chances of that happening is the same as normal sims.
Also if you put them in a costume in halloween they look human.

I got university & never even really knew about the servos. Then, one day, on my 3rd generations game play, I ran into a servo while doing the detective job. They were completely broken & just stuck there. I was confused about it but moved on, then later on I ran into them AGAIN, the SAME Servo but a different place, them still broken. Added them to my family & fixed them up, now they live w/my generation family & is now living with my 4th generations family. 😄
I've been meaning to make a futuristic family and build for the longest time but tell me why I never knew there were so many different robots you could make!! That's it! Making my futuristic household rn! I have a storyline in mind and everything!! lol
When I played with University I made a club for Robotics using Get Together and it killed 4 sims in 3 days. 😢
Faraday Fizz from Jungle Adventure is a godsend to cure the dazed moodlet from getting zapped.
Sure it's meant to be used for if you get zapped from jungle dangers, but it works for robotics/handiness electrocution just as well.
That glitch was happening to my sims in glimmerbrook as well. I just kept resetting them. Love the sims. Always something interesting happening 😂
When you sold the robo-arm 😮 prevents electrocution and speeds up crafting. Stanley is still my fave sim tho even if he’s always dazed haha.
I honestly had no idea that sims could die from the robotics stations I had a robotics obsessed mom and a robotics obsessed kid both work through the dazed moodlet their whole lives and nothing happened to them

You all probably already know this but get the sim to nap (not sleep!) to get rid of the dazed quickly :)
The robo arm goes in your inventory. If you click your sim and select Wear Robo Arm (or equip or something like that) you'll wear it and it'll stop you from getting electrocuted when using the robotics station

Holy cow that’s a massive monitor 😵💫 I feel like you’d get a headache by being surrounded by a screen like that. Also, I know some simmers are serious gamers but I’m not sure if we’re right demographic for this beast of a monitor. The size is personally overwhelming to me but the refresh rate and general speed sounds nice (I don’t know much about computer specs but from my limited knowledge it sounds good).
Pov: People always try to be the first ones but it's kinda impossible to be the last one💀
If you use the lot trait that helps you gain skills by reading, you could read the robotics skill books while dazed from electrocution.

My immortal NSB Gen 2 spouse was a high level engineer FOREVER and I finally had him make a servo when he lived with the Gen 8 heir. I have some plans to incorporate her into the legacy at some point, I've never played with a servo. Totally gotta use that ability to change her traits though, she was created to be a nanny for his kids so he totally would have done that.

That monitor is sick and I do love Samsung! I will ever only have Samsung phones for the rest of my life now.
However I doubt that monitor would fit on my desk. I can barely fit my 27", 21.5" monitors and my sewing machine all on my desk at the moment.

Should have kept the robo-arm. You can wear it and its supposed to help protect against shocks. Those many, many, many shocks. There's actually an entire suit that it goes with.

It would be cool if party bots could substitute for mixologists and caterers in events. Maybe even entertainers... though maybe it would be more balanced if you needed extra bots to fill each role.
