Born and raised in the state. While I appreciate your patronage and support by visiting our state, keep in mind that it's all an illusion. Just like Las Vegas. Most regular people that live here are lower middle class. We are continuously working just in order to survive and obtain the necessities. We don't have a lot of time to go to the beach or do those things that visitors enjoy. Just keep this in mind when you visit. Enjoy your time here and keep what I've said in mind when you return home. Aloha!
Excellent video! I recommend first-timers visit the Polynesian Culture center to learn about the Native Hawaiian culture and other Polynesian cultures. It's tough to find that in Waikiki/tourist areas, where most of them stay.
Just got back from Oahu, and used some of the suggestions that Denny and Nikki gave. Great advice! All of their recommended places to visit/restaurants were great. Highly recommend this channel!

Thanks for watching Kela! We haven't done any must-do tours, so we can't recommend any. However, we do think it's important to get a car and just stop all over the island. You won't regret that :)! Aloha! :)
One thing you missed in your map of the Islands in the beginning of the video is Kaho‘olawe you forgot to label Kaho‘olawe . The island is a sacred place it is not inhabited due to the US military using it for target practice for bombs for several decades. They broke the water table on the island from the bombings. Even though nobody lives on the island it should still be labeled.

Aloha Denny and Nikki! Thanks so much for all the informative videos and great footage. I can't wait to go in October. I wanted to ask, do you have any recommendations for restaurants with a beautiful sunset view? :)
Aloha Cindy! Thanks for the kind words :) Waikiki has Dukes and some other famous restaurants that you should book beforehand to get a sunset view. The beach house by 604 in Pokai Bay is a nice place on the West side. The food alright, but I'd still recommend it. Finally, Haleiwa Joe's in Kaneohe is also a great place to go for sunset. You won't see the sunset over the water. Instead, it will go down behind the mountains. Hope this helps :)
