I've been looking at those for a while but that large tanto with the coated D2 is sweet. It would even be sweeter if they did a XL version for us big guys

I've never bought a Honey Badger because I think there a bit pricey for the materials but that's just my opinion. Great video!

Love Honey Badgers, I have a small wharncleaver, it's like a very old school razor with that flat edge! Also look at Koch Knives for another premium knife at a budget price, especially their button release range. Badgers and Koch put knives to shame that cost 3x or 4x more.

I'm not a fan of the hexagonal texturing on the FRN, hard on the pocket & arguably the eyes, but those G10 scales.... & that particular tanto shape... yeah, I like the look of those, especially the murdered out/jade combo.

Like the jade one with the black blade I’d probably prefer it in a leaf blade design and out of the steel they offer D2 would be my pick most likely unless they have some sprint runs I don’t know about 😍. I have the same scale but in orange and black small world 😊.

14c28n I find easier to sharpen than d2. Probably my favorite non particle sreel, much more stropable. That's what she said 😮

If you look at the old Maxace Balance flipper, it looks pretty clear to me that Maxace OEM's Honey Badger. Which is a great thing, IMO.

I have a wave opener variant. Pretty cool knife. The pricing is questionable tho. G10/D2 or G10/14c28n shouldn’t cost that dang much. Why would they want to coat 14c anyway? Don’t get why companies insist on coating so many stainless options.
It’s mostly an effective way to color a blade black. You get the color and it’s fairly durable

It's 2023 and 8Cr13Mov feels obsolete. The base models should be 9Cr18Mov or D2 at the price they're asking. I definitely prefer 14C28N but that price is high too. Ruike, Kubey, and others are offering 14C28N for a lot less.

@@megacab I've got a Vosteed in 154CM that I like a lot. The OEM might have been Kizer. Having used, taken apart, and messed around with a few Honey Badgers; they are definitely not on the same level.

14C28N is a much better steel than D2 and even more so than 8Cr. It‘s stainless, much tougher and sharpens better. D2 only wins in edge retention.
and lots of people are going to choose edge retention as a blade steels most important quality
@@BirdShotIV That's true. Since I know how to sharpen a blade, toughness is more important to me. Having said that, I still own a lot of D2 knives. I don't hate D2 at all. I just like 14C28N even more. 😁
