Okay, so you just keep it for your very own !
In his video where he talks about his song before it was uploaded, he talks about how he'd been an agnostic and basically hit bottom and fell to his knees in prayer. He was depressed and dealing with alcoholism until just last month, but he asked God for help with that and said that he'd use his music for good. And here we are. Already his song and his message have been a blessing to so many for share his pain. I'm so glad he's honoring God in the middle of this, rather than using the spotlight for himself.

The culture wars are not our war. We were thrown into it by rich people because they profit from it… just like all other wars. If we all got together and figured out who the real problem is they’d be toast.

It's truly haunting. It hit me extremely hard. I'm 61 years old and beat to death. Every dollar I've ever made I've made with my hands.Been operated on 22 times and all I have to show for it is scars.

This is a very emotional song. It brings tears to my eyes. I believe people are tired of the system
The last time I saw a story teller just stand play their guitar and sing from their soul with no gimmicks or fancy backing about the desperation of living in abject poverty and trying to escape it was Tracy Chapman in her song Fast Car. She became a super star because it resonated with so many people and she was the real deal. Oliver / Christopher has taken it even further, exposing the dark side of our men and women in suits rulers who have sold their souls and wish to crush our spirits. That is why this is an across the board smash hit, he sings the truth from the soul and has brought the evil ones into the spotlight of the masses. God is speaking through this man with the Holy Spirit and everyone can feel it, that's why we cry when we hear this song and we have to hear it over and over and over.

I actually spent several hours watching dozens of different influence rs reviewing this song. Crossed political lines, ideological lines, all races too. I've never seen so many people tear up over a song before.

I have too, and I think that just shines even more of a light on the fact that so many of us are divided for no reason other than we are easier to control as a population if we instantly write someone off because of their political affiliation. This song has hit every one I know, of all different political beliefs, it is literally joining us as a country by reminding us who really is hurting us, and it’s not your neighbor that doesn’t have the same political beliefs. It’s the politicians letting all of this corruption happen. And as we speak news stations are using this songs popularity to turn us against one another, and I will be damn before I let them make me think this song is for only one type of person. It’s the anthem for the people just trying to live not even in America, but the world.

It's the most powerful song I've heard in so long i can't remember. It's authentic, raw and heartfelt. I've never seen a song resonate with so many different people at a soul level. It proves that we have everything that matters in common.
Not too long ago he was struggling with alcohol and depression. He fell to his knees and prayed to God to take them away and for him to go forward with his music. God answered his prayers.
A local radio station that scouts talent throughout Appalachia approached him after seeing him play at a little local event and asked if they could record him at their expense. I largely disagree with your take here, but I respect it/you. Songs don't need to speak to us because we're intently listening to each word, they more typically do via a feeling we get from capturing the gist of it's "meaning", which listeners are free to interpret. Most people would get plenty of the words wrong on songs that they love, but they're not missing the point of the song at all, & that's true even for this anthem.
