      You are absolutely wrong on the use of profanity, John, as any true Christian would know, which is not only totally unnecessary, immature, disgusting, and Godless, but since every ignorant fool uses the same C, S, and F-words over and over, because their education of the English language is obviously limited, therefore it is not a strong word at all, but a very common vulgar rant hundreds of millions of idiots who spew everyday in public, where every man woman and child is forced to be verbally assaulted with this depraved filth, which is part of the dumbing-down of America.
      Cursing, cussing, blaspheming, and spewing profanity, vulgarity, and other obscene, immature, Godless, or disgusting filth in public spaces is NOT acceptable!
      This simple respectful rule used to be widely known and practiced, but more recently has spread EVERYWHERE like the cancer it is.
      Now you have US Presidents and other politicians, media personalities, business and entertainment celebrities, law enforcement professionals, military officers, and even professed Christians regurgitating this filth, even in front of women and children.
      "The General is sorry to be informed that the foolish, and wicked practice, of profane cursing and swearing (a Vice heretofore little known in an American Army) is growing into fashion; he hopes the officers will, by example, as well as influence, endeavor to check it, and that both they, and the men will reflect, that we can have little hopes of the blessing of Heaven on our Army if we insult it by our impiety, and folly; added to this, it is a vice so mean and low, without any temptation, that every man of sense, and character, detests and despises it.” Signed, George Washington 3 August 1776
      "Profanity is disrespect or contempt for sacred things. It includes casual or irreverent use of the name of any member of the Godhead. It also includes any type of unclean or vulgar speech or behavior.
      We should always use the names of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost with reverence and respect. Misusing their names is a sin. Profane, vulgar, or crude language or gestures, as well as immoral jokes, are offensive to the Lord and to others.
      Foul language is both degrading and harmful to the spirit. We should not let others influence us to use foul language. Instead, we should use clean language that uplifts and edifies others, and we should choose friends who use good language. Setting an example will encourage those around us to use clean language. If friends and acquaintances use profanity, we can good-naturedly encourage them to choose other words. If they persist, we can politely walk away or change the subject.
      Those who have developed the habit of swearing can break it. They must begin by making a decision to change and then pray for help." LDS teaching
      If a little profanity is okay, then a little pornography is just fine, alcohol and drug use on a small scale is acceptable, sex outside of marriage is no big deal, homosexuality is also not a biggy, and every other sin, depravity, perversion, and destructive Godless behavior which we are warned about in the Bible is seen as good as long as there is something in that song, movie, joke, etc. that you feel is worthwhile, which is Satan's deception of creeping compromise.
      "But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language." Colossians 3:8
      "If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless." James 1:26
      "Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them." Ephesians 4:29
      "Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes-these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God." Ephesians 5:4
      "The lips of the godly speak helpful words, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words." Proverbs 10:32
      Jesus said, "A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart." Luke 6:45

    In his video where he talks about his song before it was uploaded, he talks about how he'd been an agnostic and basically hit bottom and fell to his knees in prayer. He was depressed and dealing with alcoholism until just last month, but he asked God for help with that and said that he'd use his music for good. And here we are. Already his song and his message have been a blessing to so many for share his pain. I'm so glad he's honoring God in the middle of this, rather than using the spotlight for himself.

    The last time I saw a story teller just stand play their guitar and sing from their soul with no gimmicks or fancy backing about the desperation of living in abject poverty and trying to escape it was Tracy Chapman in her song Fast Car. She became a super star because it resonated with so many people and she was the real deal. Oliver / Christopher has taken it even further, exposing the dark side of our men and women in suits rulers who have sold their souls and wish to crush our spirits. That is why this is an across the board smash hit, he sings the truth from the soul and has brought the evil ones into the spotlight of the masses. God is speaking through this man with the Holy Spirit and everyone can feel it, that's why we cry when we hear this song and we have to hear it over and over and over.

      I have too, and I think that just shines even more of a light on the fact that so many of us are divided for no reason other than we are easier to control as a population if we instantly write someone off because of their political affiliation. This song has hit every one I know, of all different political beliefs, it is literally joining us as a country by reminding us who really is hurting us, and it’s not your neighbor that doesn’t have the same political beliefs. It’s the politicians letting all of this corruption happen. And as we speak news stations are using this songs popularity to turn us against one another, and I will be damn before I let them make me think this song is for only one type of person. American folk music has always been poetic.
    It's the most powerful song I've heard in so long i can't remember. It's authentic, raw and heartfelt. I've never seen a song resonate with so many different people at a soul level. It proves that we have everything that matters in common.
    Not too long ago he was struggling with alcohol and depression. He fell to his knees and prayed to God to take them away and for him to go forward with his music. God answered his prayers.
    A local radio station that scouts talent throughout Appalachia approached him after seeing him play at a little local event and asked if they could record him at their expense. They posted it just days ago and the rest is history. It's the only song that's been professionally recorded. There's others that are so good too, in the top 10, but they were recorded on his iPhone. That's why this is on their channel rather than his.
    He's so surprised at the reaction and outpouring of love. He played a farmers market sunday and there was standing room only. 25 acres of parked cars. He said in June he played for 20 people. Lol.
    Before his performance he didn't plug him, his songs or his social media. He read a verse from psalms about how the wicked will not prevail. Everyone was singing along and knew all the words despite it being released only a few days prior. Its been a week today.
    He stayed 4 hours after talking to every person who wanted to talk with him and he listened to their stories.
    An inspirational young man with an inspirational story and an angelic voice that everybody feels.
    He quit his job as a factory worker to pursue his music. He bought land and lives on that with his dogs off grid. This song is recorded on his land.

      It's their plan... it makes it clear that it's truly evil that we are dealing with.
      I was lead to this song.
      I find myself lead to many things.
      If I was blind to Grace I would be unable to see the message.

      @scottsherman5262 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I largely disagree with your take here, but I respect it/you. Songs don't need to speak to us because we're intently listening to each word, they more typically do via a feeling we get from capturing the gist of it's "meaning", which listeners are free to interpret. Most people would get plenty of the words wrong on songs that they love, but they're not missing the point of the song at all, & that's true even for this anthem.

    • @lookingforthetruth8478
      @lookingforthetruth8478 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@scottsherman5262 i appreciate you being respectful, thank you, something ive learned about the actual words in songs is that until you read the lyrics without the music playing in the background is that you can never fully grasp what the songs intent is until you read it word for word, most people fall into a trance like state with the rhythm, and miss the point of whats being said, this was told to me by an older man, he asked me if id ever listened to civil war by gnr, i said yes sir, he asked what did you get from it, i said well i guess he was against war and doesn't believe in war, he then asked me if i picked up anything else from the song and my mind went blank, he pulled up the lyrics and i read them twice, i was taken aback a little because i had sung that song dozens of times and never picked up the important points that were made, or when i saw so many people jammen to pumped up kicks when it first came out not realizing that they were singing about some poor kid losing his mind and going to shoot up his school, the point im trying to make is that too many people "love" a song and dont realize "why" they love it, more times than not, its because of the beat, or how fast they sing, and not the actual lyrics, THIS song is special because word for word everything that was spoken was truth, simple, and felt in the souls of many beat down, tired, and fed up Americans who are sick of the way things are, and him breaking down the song might be helpful to people who may not have thought about breaking down the songs they love, when we take the time to look at the words of our fav songs, it helps us better understand what message is being relayed. In this world millions of songs are being thrown our way, most of them portraying a negative message in a "fun" "hip" way, we have to be selective in what we allow our minds to accept, a break down of songs is a way to truly understand what were listening to, i believe by beholding we become changed, ive also learned that the private prisons have contracts with certain rappers and said rappers make more money when they rap about murder, gang bangin, sex, drugs, ect... Thats why im extra vigilant about what goes in my mind. But i also respect your take as well, since you were kind, i wanted to reply in like manner. Thank you, and I hope you have a great rest of the day 🙏

    I thought I was alone in discovering this song. I felt it immediately. Don't apologize, Lovell. Call it like it is.

    Appreciate your breakdown John. I’ve watched multiple reactions to this song but your the only one that pointed out his reference to pedophilia. This the anthem of our time.
