excellent review Kevin. Am I to understand that we can test small batteries like laptop, cellphone etc. I am a little leery at taking things like lithium cellphone and laptop batteries to zero or near zero as that can toast some lithium ion batteries. I am a mechanic and have more conventional battery testers like on cars and they are quick and dirty and take just a second or so. Your thoughts? It would seem imperative to install this in a protective case like a pelican box maybe held in with Velcro?
Thanks! Yes you can test smaller batteries. HAM Radio Tube has a pretty decent video on using one of these to test smaller batteries. I’ve only tested the larger lithium batteries so far. You can always set a limit to stop the test if voltage drops too low. keeping it in a pelican case is probably a good idea but I think it needs airflow to the underside of the unit so I wouldn’t have it to tightly packed with foam. I haven’t quite figured that out yet so I’m just keeping it in the shipping box for now.
Great review man. Thank you very much!
Thanks for watching!

Stupid question! Should you fully charge the battery before you start the test to measure the capacity?
