Intermod test? Here north of a big city in Texas one of these wideband radios pop open on the carrier squelch every ten seconds or so with TWO voices (often the NWS weather radio) or a modem tone and the NWS voice ... my Motorola MTS2000 of course does not.

Hi! I don’t have a boat yet but do I need the MMSI number once I do! Also I tried setting the lat/long on my Cobra HH600 and the numbers won’t go past 5 when trying to set-is it because I’m on land when trying to set. Thanks! Happy sails to you! Peter D.

Hello how much weight do you think can hold….?

I have a weakness for Swiss Army Knives. Difference between the Swiss Champ (Big Boy--7 layers of tools) and the Handyman (Big Boy's younger cousin--6 layers of tools) is essentially 3 tools! The fish scaler (limited utility), the dedicated Philips screwdriver, and the magnifying glass (very useful). That's it. Three tools difference, but Champ is chunkier by far, and more expensive. Still, a difficult decision.

This is a good radio, great transmit and receive. Mine quit transmitting so I did a factory reset, problem solved
