"The Wii U is Nintendo's biggest failure."
The virtual boy: Am I a joke to you?
I came to find this comment.
I saw one in person once. It looks cool.
I remember going to my cousin’s house and being so excited to play the Virtual Boy. I slapped that tripod on my head and was sent into a world of red. You know that feeling after watching a modern Marvel or Star Wars film, and you try to convince yourself “…it’s…cool.”
But it’s not cool. It’s terrible, you’re disappointed, and your day is ruined.
@@D71219ONEwhy was that explanation so good? 😮

The virtual boy would like to speak with you, sir…
Actually no, it very much would NOT like to speak with you, it is still very sensitive about the whole fiasco.

While it's true that the virtual boy itself flopped harder than the wii u, it didn't cause nintendo's worst fiscal year in its entire history like the wii u did (the year of luigi 💀)
The way he was holding that n64 controller made me want to curl up and die.

True. The Wii U doesn’t deserve hate
Yeah, but now we live in a world where most Wii U games are now available on Switch, which has more features (most of them), and they still support online play, unlike the Wii U.
@@TheRealJoshie yeah especially older titles like wii sports. Since the switch has nintendo switch sports, it wouldn’t be worth it playing and paying on the wii u

Nintendo: Just have some families say that they need to hang out together more and have that as the reason why they should upgrade to wii u. After that, we just hope for the best.
the jump from SNES to N64 was a monumental leap.
Technology just improved by leaps and bounds in the 90s. It was insane every single time.
Then it all just plateaued by the mid 2010s and advancements just slowed down, everything looking barely the same

The Wii U was underpowered compared to the ps4 and Xbox one. But that’s because I feel like Nintendo was making the Wii U with only the Xbox 360 and ps3 in mind and weren’t thinking about next Gen.

It's impressive to see how significantly improved each Nintendo product gets unlike gradually increasing of other products.
5-6 years between generations allows for a large leap in technological advancement.
Also, since the 64, Nintendo hasn’t focused on cutting edge graphics, so they haven’t hit the diminishing returns level yet. There are PS3 games that look as good as Nintendo’s current gen, the Switch. The jumps from PS3-PS4-PS5 have gotten smaller and smaller. Once Nintendo releases the Switch’s successor, they will finally hit that point where the visible gains in power are greatly diminished with each generation. We’ll stop seeing massive jumps each generation at that point.
@@D71219ONE true, i wonder if Nintendo will ever release something new after the Switch 2, what can possibly be improved?

The most unsuccessful Nintendo Console is the Virtual Boy. Not the Wii U
Wii U was very underrated and it was fun to play with, and it had an amazing library of games. It only underperformed in sales because of bad marketing and those cringy ads from games.
My GameCube still gets regular play. And as a person with somewhat smaller hands, it’s by far the most comfortable controller I’ve ever used. And with classic games like Mario Kart Double Dash and the Zelda Collectors Edition Disc, it’s definitely one of my go to consoles.
GameCube is great. I used to have a Wii but I’m trying to get another one soon so I can play both Wii & GameCube games :)

Ninja kiwi merch spotted, respect gained
The N64 was not the first system with an Analog stick on tue controller. I am really tired of this misconception that Analog sticks didnt exist on game controllers before the N64. In fact the actual first console with an Analog stick on the controller was for the Prinztronic/Acetronic/Interton series which release in 1978, an entire 16 years prior to the N64. The N64 is just the first console to use them on a more dedicated basis, and was also the more widely owned console.
I also have every single one of those consoles. I treasure all of them.

Um, it always says the NES was released in 1985. The one released in 1983 was the Japanese version, called the Family Computer or FamiCom. And it looked vastly different. Same with the SNES. For America, it looked more square and it used purple. For Japan (and maybe Europe) that
Japan & Europe had the same design for the SNES, except for the name. The Famicom did release in 1983 but it’s important to note that it has support for add ons that the NES does not. Especially the European NES featured in this video
