It’s such a shame that a writing masterpiece has to have Squid Game in the title to find mass appeal. Excellent video!
It really is, this song is amazing and people shouldn't just watch this video because it has Squid game in the title
I'm honestly grateful that there was a way to making people losten to classical music. Even if it's through a netflix show.
I clicked on it because of Danube. I just founded out yesterday non germans are calling our Donau with this name for some reason.
I don't think it *needs* it, just a good marketing strategy to get clicks. And this channel deserves clicks, so I'm all for it :)
Clout and money
This isn't part of "squid game", this is part of "eternal masterpieces".
Yep
yes, but not liking popular thing because it’s popular doesn’t make you cool
@@jankkhvej434 what
It is not part of squid game the song just happened to be played in it. Also, it is not 'part' of eternal masterpieces it was created 150 yeas ago by Johann Strauss (like Squid Game is just happens to be in it), it is one of the most famous and best pieces of classical orchestra music ever made. It has no copy right on it as it is over 100 years old. It does not belong to anyone.
2001 a Space odyssée
This isn’t squid game, this is a classical work of art
I know, right? This song was composed looooong before Squid Game existed. Personally, I recognize the song from 2001: A Space Odyssey, which was a movie made all the way back in the 1960s.
@@myuu22 it was composed in the late 1800s I'm pretty sure.
People who gatekeep music are sad. If anything all putting squid game in the title is doing is spreading the knowledge and joy of classical music we love to other people, which I see nothing wrong with.
This song is only popular because of a space Odyssey. Before it was released even classical enthusiasts didn't know about his music. He wasn't a legend like bach or Mozart.
I don’t care about squids playing a game, that song rocks so hard that it’ll still be playing after the end of the universe.
ok

This has gotta be the most famous waltz, ever. It's pretty much the one piece that immediately comes to my head when talking about 3/4 time.
I'm suprised Sheet Music Boss hadn't done it before Squid Game had the piece in it!
Also, that isn't a dig at Sheet Music Boss, dey make incredible videos. :)
Ah, the Beautiful Blue Danube, a river flowing from Germany to Romania, connecting landlocked nations to the sea, allowing for cities like Vienna to be built (yes ik they had to deal with floods), connecting Rotterdam with the Black Sea by being connected to the Rhine via a canal and is just beautiful.
The fact that you put squid game in the title shows more people needed "little Einstein's" in there childhood.
I'm someone who loves classical music and work somewhat in that direction. I thank little Einsteins way too little
@@quuaaarrrk8056 Classic music really is amazing
Bruh I'm here from Manic Miner wdym
I’m hear from the sponge bob song nicks b Danube
But I did watch the little Einsteins sadly it was on dvd so I only got like 3 episodes
But classical is truly amazing, putting aside the fact that most of the time after playing it your hand hurts for a week
Exactly
This isn’t a part of Squid Game…
This is a part of history!
The whole history
00:00 to 10:07 is my favorite part! Great video!
So you didn’t like 10:08 ?
@@GabeEnyart XD
what about 10:08?
6:39 to 7:15 is always my favorite part. It sounds so majestic in this arrangement!
IT'S MY FAVORITE TOOOO it always makes me go "yippiiieeee!!!!" when i hear it
Just finished watching 2001: A Space Odyssey, and I can confirm that this is a certified hood classic.
Without a doubt, one of the best interpretations I have heard of this majestic piece.
I think this was the Key in which it
was written . Usually for learners they use C ..?
I don't know what all this talk about Squid Games is about. Squidward was clearly not enjoying himself while SpongeBob and Patrick were jellyfishing...
This piece wasn't in Splatoon either.
Ikr that’s how I got reminded of this beautiful melody
Orbital maneuvering. That will forever be what this music calls to mind
in the dark?
2:17-3:50 sounds so nice... it makes me shiver down my spine, it's just beautiful
Kids knows this from squid game but legends knew this from tom and jerry
That's why I love it so much. Tom and Jerry was my life
Tom and Jerry, Including SpongeBob SquarePants, Every episode played this piece in every scene. that is what I heard the first part.
And 2001: A Space Odyssey
Me:where have you heard this song
Kid1: squid game
Me:*shoots kid1*
Kid2: that cool space movie
Me:it is acceptable
Kid3: from strauss
Me:*kisses kid3 on the forehead*
Accurate
I mean I’ve heard it before I just don’t remember where hehe
It's in Little Einsteins
@@RizingHorizon same
Then Kid4 says Little Einsteins. What do we do with that kid? I'd let it pass!
Literally almost everyone: Squid Game
Me and few others: 2001: Space Odyssey
It's a sheet music channel but when I listen to these arrangements I often do feel like I am listening to a concert pianist. This is why I will be so stoked if they ever do one of my favorites, Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin.
Fun fact: there already is a piano version of RiB, written by Gershwin himself. It's RiB original version, actually.
NOT here from Squid Game, but here from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
It's the best piano arrangement of the best waltz ever!! Thank you, I enjoyed every second of it.
"The Blue Danube" is one of my best favourite songs. I love it to listen.
ITS A PIECE
how dare you call it a song- your under arrest for being an idiot
Thank the lord I have been waiting for this for so long
My piano has 66 keys only ) :
@@matleo7988 *laughs in Sith Lord*
This was very well written and performed. The dynamic contrast of the overall piece was impeccable. As a pianist, I respect this piece a lot.
I recognise these patterns. When I was young the house where we lived had an old pianola in it, and we had this roll. I played it so many times that I know every part of this music!
Congratulations Strauss for leaving us this beautiful piece! It will be an everlasting piece forever!
Brilliant performance! Thank you for this lovely video! This is one of my favorites! So grateful you have played it for us!
😄
It's so surreal to see one of my favourite classical waltz with the suffix of (squid game music)
This is my favorite classic piece. Thanks for making this :D
i just... zoned out for an entire 10 minutes listening to this... so damn beautiful

Squid Game? I'd rather say 2001: A Space Odyssey
Thank you.jpg
I’ve been in a complete trance listening to this what a masterpiece
Best rendition I've heard in decades !
wait wtf i was actually thinking about blue danube earlier and how it can be played on piano... then i went to youtube after forgetting about it a couple of minutes later and came across this MASTERPIECE of a channel. im starting to think that this isn't a coincidence. such sorcery.
Everyone be associating it with Squid Game, I still imagine it with 2001:A Space Odyseey and so i just imagine space stuff
Even though all of that makes no sense when its just about a beautiful river-
I still associate it with the time when I took a class trip to a castle that was sitting at the Danube back in elementary. welcome to germany
I associate it with a classical music cd boxset my dad bought at a gas station
I associate it with that SpongeBob clip where SpongeBob and Patrick teach Squidward how to jellyfish.
I associate it with Europa Universalis IV due to playing it with classical music mods for so long

specially Spiderman 2 also. I can't think about electro being asked by scientist.
To me, this song will always remind me of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. (One of the best movies ever made)
This is a space song, and can't convince me otherwise.
I see you’re a man of culture.png
That Blue Danube is also the "docking theme" in Elite Dangerous just shows how much a space song it is.
The funny thing is that Stanley Kubrick used the piece as a temp track to get the pacing down for the various shots, and when the time came for Alex North to score the scene, Kubrick didn’t think the score fit the scenes as well, so the “temp track” stayed in.
I have (a download of) the Alex North soundtrack.
I think it's rather good. I like it, but... it doesn't have the same feeling as what was used in the movie.
This song sounds floaty, Alex's track... not so much.
Also, I like to think that this scene (in 2001) combines two different types of art: audio, and visual. The unfinished space station, the way the ship has to stop, and rotate with the station so it can dock, the stewardess walking up the wall, Heywood's pen floating around...
True movie magic that only Stanley knew how to wield.

This is my favorite classical piece!
I love the part at 0:00 to 10:08
bruh
Same! It's my favorite part
thats the whole thing
so how can it be a part?
Man do I love this channel
I always think of 2001 a space odyssey when I hear this masterpiece of a song!
for me as austrian from vienna this piece gives a feeling of holiday, because the Austrian Airlines play it after landing haha
I really want to be able to play this whole thing. I’ll make it part of my lifelong ambition as a pianist.
You finally uploaded it!

Very helpful,
i can now play this!
Good old Johann he knocked this one out of the park makes me want to simultaneously play the piano and dance, unfortunately I can do neither!😁
it's from 2001- a space odyssey too!
maybe I like science fiction more than whatever squid game is but that's beside the point
Thank you

Great video guys!
I would love to see one of the Deltarune tracks with the radioheads motif in there, like Cyber Battle, Sound Studio, or When I Get Happy I Dance Like This. It’s such a catchy motif! Have a great day c:
Probably the 1st classical piece I've heard in my life. On a Fisher-Price musical toy.
Strauss must’ve been bestowed a fragment of the divine to write this transcendent masterpiece on the majesty of nature and the grandeur of the human condition to be able to experience it.
Wooooow
the song that made me fall down the rabbit hole of being a strauss stan
sad to see this song now being known as the squid game song
Disgusting
I've never heard of the Squid Game until now. I only clicked on this video because I love Sheet Music Boss and that's the honest truth.
I love how early I am for this
DAH DAH DAH DAHHHH DAHHHH, DUN DUN, DUN DUN
It seems easy, i ll buy it !

Man, this makes me remember that one part of What Remains of Edith Finch
Whenever Johann would play, the mouse would dance....
Thanks to Tom and Jerry for peaking my interest in classical music.
I loved this arrangement SMB, many thanks
It's Strauss Jr. music, not Squid Game music.
They now that.
They know it isn’t Squid Game Music, but by putting that there in parentheses, and acknowledging it’s origin in the description, they can reach a wider audience, while the folks who know the song from Strauss himself can still feel appreciated.
They should've put the original author I'm the title too
Of course they know, I was just making a remark because I think this show is (in my mind) entirely insignificant compared to the original composer. Of course they're riding on the popularity of the show and it's smart, but I also somewhat despise it.
@@Audiojack_ I don't personally feel they're using Squid Game's popularity solely for extra views. Squid Game is popular and this was used in it, so people might not recognise it by name so they watch this video to see what it is. If they like it, they like it. If they don't, they don't. As is the case with a lot of classical music, people don't usually know the name but they know where they heard it and what it sounds like. I myself didn't know what "In The Hall of Mountain King" was called until I was 12 or 13 and was learning a different song from Peer Gynt for my piano exam and my piano teacher said they're from the same play and I originally didn't even know what he was talking about until he played it. I instantly recognised it, but didn't know the name until then and I have been playing piano since I was 8
I love how at 6:58 and on the bass is just before the higher chords, functioning as a grace note. Really neat detail!
Thank you so much for noticing these things! We spend hours on every minute of music, so doing longer works like this takes *forever*. It's all worth it because of people like you :)
Niiiiice ^^
@@SheetMusicBoss Thanks to your longer scores, I now appreciate every planet and not just Mars and Jupiter. I hope you never stop making them

It is a disgrace to the austrian people to call this wonderful piece of classical music squid game music.
