This is one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. I could never be sad again. Please do another sightreading video like this one. Your comments are funny too.
Your sight reading is truly fantastic. It is quite incredible how little panic comes through as you blast through sections. But, and amusingly, I've been trying to learn Hungarian Rhapsody (which I believe is probably the easiest to learn of all of these?) and the sheer speed it gets to is just unfathomable, and I'm glad such a great pianist is also struggling with it, even if it is on a first sight read. Seriously though, how can anyone play that fast and not get a heavy build up of lactic acid almost immediately
I respect what you have done, not anyone has the courage to make this kind of video and then upload it, knowing the consequences, with also the fact of being exposed like this, I congrats you for your work and honesty, you have done pretty well and you have a good actitude and done a nice video showing your skills
So good! One can hardly tell the difference between the so called professional and the talented sight reader. Just don't over practise. Don't ruin that nice style. Use more pedal if you get stuck. No one will notice.
@@superjam18 Yeah I liked the concept. Overall it's more a showoff than a lesson really, she just happened to have the required technique to play the piece and put the parts together, no more to learn outside of : if you already played arpeggios in that key and can sight read well, you'll be able to do that. MMM ok, cool but idk
I’m proud that I can play all the sections you tried to! Good job and maybe make another video with pieces harder than these! I’m talking Cziffra and Alkan.
at least you still sight read much better than me while Me as a violin player only sight read one notes at time and only little chords and double stop, great job tbh
if you really want the hardest of the hardest, then none of these pieces would be on the list lol. (ex: Liszt transcriptions, Grand Galop Chromatique, beethoven hammerklavier, etc.)
Listening to the piece beforehand is not technically sight reading. Knowing how it should sound definitely helps when reading the notes on the paper. Also getting clues on how to position your hands in the second one
Wish I could play that well 😢 I play by ear, and play for enjoyment mostly. I like playing piano but it takes practice, if I were as good as that guy I'd practice 4 hours a day and become a pianist.
Chopin should have placed a trollface after the first four bars of his Op.25 n.11... Apart from that, I don't think it's that terrible if slowly red and then brought to speed. For sure, trying sight-reading it at an acceptable speed is a struggle lost from the start.
Not true I have been playing piano for well lessons for 3 months and playing for 1 year I can play Chopin nocturne op 9 no.2 and it's a grade 6 just try playing higher level pieces and try to learn them it will make you improve

Thanks! Hopefully I do get to 5k at some point 😂
That's some high quality sight reading right there
the sight reading on the second pice was epic not gonna lie
This was super accurate and fun to watch, since all my sight reading sessions look like this.
ABRSM would pass you with flying colours for not stopping and keeping in tempo!
Loved this video
I wish I could sight read like this back in my ABRSM days 😂😂 Thanks! I like what you've been doing on your channel too keep it up!
Flashbach - 😂 thank you. I used to hate reading now I’m starting to love it!
I don't know who gave me Tausig The Ghostship ballad to soght read ??!!

Yessss! I was hoping for La Campanella to be on the LISZT
But la Campanella isn’t the hardest piano piece
@@Cryseris its still hard even tho its not the hardest.

OMG I LISTEN TO LA CAMPANELLA A LOT AND WHEN I HEARD THE FIRST FEW NOTES IM LIKE YESSSSS
I laughed so hard when you tried to sight read la campanella! 😂
Me too😂😂
There is nothing more satisfying than watching a pianist fail
Oof...
God this isn't only piano skill it's music theory and you gotta be ready for every little dotted note coming his way
Thanks for making me feel better about my sighting reading skills. The second one was really impressive, though.
Bro youre a god. Wtf . Was thar really First try? Youre better than 99% of Concert Pianists probably
Far less swearing than one of my sight reading sessions - good work
This was so funny. More sight reading please
That inspired me a lot thanks.
I tend to try to do things too perfectly and this threw it out of the window, I think I'm cured now

bruh your winter wind really kills me HAHAHAH
RIP left hand 😂😂 I wish I had this saying when I was back in Jr High to tell my piano teacher. 😂
for the hardest piano pieces, I see a notable absence of Gaspard de la nuit

no joke, the right hand of the start of La Campanella was one of the first things I learned on the piano, it actually sounded alright.

All he played is hard and he has quite high technicality. But I think Rachmaninoff's 3rd concerto and Villa-Lobos' Rudepoêma is even harder.
