      yeah, 4 exhaust is better, but it's ugly to have it fake, i think that looks better if even the exhaust manifold form turbo have two exit. a little bit more welding, but a really nice job.

    I like the twin pipes.. My only 'wish' would be perhaps to mesh over where the centre pipes and licence plate hanger are, rather than keeping it wide open.. I think it would match the upper mesh really well. Not sure if that is possible but from a visual perspective I think it would make the car..

      To me it looks like he's going to have heat issues anyways, he needs the airflow. I'm not an expert whatsoever though

    • @jakediburro7624
      @jakediburro7624 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jake the pipes are ceramic coated. Obviously that won’t keep all the heat out but it should stay cool enough to not melt off that whole bumper ahahah

      Kris McMillen , I agree due to the bumper opening is rectangle as well. A round shape in a square(rectangle) opening just doesn’t give it what it’s begging for.

    The way you cut that structural piece you created a stress concentration point at that corner. If you ever get rear ended that things gonna bend like foil. Maybe add a gusset from the exhaust side to reinforce. Good luck with the rest of the build its looking amazing!

    Dude! I have your air filter issue fixed! Place two hks foam filters on the turbos
    They are the shortest as Nd some of the most free flowing filters out there. And the element of a 15-30 replacement part. Usually 20. You'll prolly want a 330-350mm

    I would wrap the pipes with heat-wrap to keep the heat from melting anything back there. That rear bumper still looks awfully close. Also, I would install some mesh in the opening behind the pipes. I think it'll look better with the pipes behind some mesh, like a factory look. Making good progress though! You're on a roll !

    I would strongly suggest strengthening that reinforcement bar you cut, while im not a lambo expert by any means, im pretty sure those bars are not just there for keeping the car together when it gets hit from the back, but also to keep it together when accelerating :P remember that thing is even more powerful then a stock one, you dont wanna rip it apart.

      @@Iceman2001 well, of course building a twin turbo car with that sort of engine would never cost as much as putting an eBay plastic bodykit on an Honda and calling it a day would. You have to admit he made the most with his cash and got a fully functional Lamborghini with a very well made turbo system and quality aftermarket upgrade parts for a fraction of the cost of a base Gallardo. You see guys on TH-cam with much more affordable project cars just blowing up their budget on bodykits that don't even fit and wheels while doing a mediocre job on everything.

    Sorry, but there is a wrinkle in the gold tape in the rear, to the right, it have been irritating my eyes for several episodes. It seam like a easy and cheap thing to adjust to look way more exclusive.
    Also, the fist full of washers you put everywhere. Measure them, and have some local old machinist fabricate as a spacer in aluminum, will cost like coffee money, and make a lot of differance on the look. Maybe you can even find some aluminum universal spacers for a couple of dollars each. A washer go under a nut, not for using as spacers. :)

    i would try to find some way to reinforce the bumper support you cut up. the vertical metal pieces that were cut off are were all the structural support come from in a fender bender. that way it looks now even a small 5mph ish fender bender will bend that metal pretty far and then f up all that hard work you did on the turbo kit. just something to look into and think about

  • @carportchronicles1943

    I would have encapsulated the bracket with some strips of fiberglass cloth. Epoxy is strong, but it won't adhere well to the metal, and vibration will quickly cause it to pop loose. Just pick up an inexpensive fiberglass repair kit from a local boat shop, bury the bracket in a couple layers of cloth and resin, and you should be good.

    • @ryansenior091
      @ryansenior091 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dicermilan I highly doubt it. He only cut some of the bottom portion. It will still have most rigidity from the top half plus he still has the same amount of steel under the bottom bolts. And if he gets hits hard enough to bend the center section the damage wouldnt be stopped by what he cut off anyway.

    • @suicidalbanananana
      @suicidalbanananana 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      So true.
      He can still salvage this though, he can strengthen the bits he cut by filling up the gaps he created in the reinforcement bar.
      Oh and nevermind twisting, it could warp from fast acceleration, that bar was made to hold the stock engine, not the souped up one.
      Final thought, if he doesnt make it structurally sound his insurance isnt gonna cover, theres a reason people dont usually modify supercars at home.

    "schmutz .." the automotive term used when the object in question is :
    too dirty to tell what is under it
    looks like it was stuck there during shipping but won't come off
    resembles a random paint spot but still won't come off
    maybe part of the actual part however due to dirt , unable to identify ..
    love it and can't wait to see it all painted and the shenanigans begin :)

    Let's blithely cut off the rear crash impact beams, which Lambo probably already made as light [read: weak] as standards or good engineering allowed for. Hmmm...crash impact structure removed...and with no rear crumple zone, that makes an engine fuel fire even more likely. I guess that makes it truly a Lambastardo now. Time to get some custom badges made up for the body now.
    Drill holes for the wing? Nah. 3M VHB tape will hold that on, no more holes needed. Carbon fiber, man. We *bond* that, we don't bolt it.

    Random thoughts: It’s going to suck when all that heat from the exhaust / turbo chargers blisters the paint or starts a fire.
    Vibration will more than likely shake that license plate bracket ( which should be stainless steel) off.
    Some jackass is going to back into you and that fiberglass bumper is going to crack like an egg.

    I love this channel...DIY is AWESOME! I have just a little advice. When ever you want the strongest bond as possible, you should wipe the surface with a chemical cleaner like paint thinner, acetone, etc... Your fingers (body oils) can contaminate the surface as well so you should have worn gloves or avoid touching the cleaned surface prior to adhering together. Keep up the great work!

      I am not just some jerk throwing around his opinion. he actually asked the viewers what they think about it. he can absolutely do what he wants. I'm betting he will do what he wants. He's not selling it after all. Even so, I think you should have one exhaust tip per exhaust pipe. I also like to make things different. When I work on my car, I like people to know that I've worked on it, so I don't make it look like other things.

    • @suicidalbanananana
      @suicidalbanananana 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @J Blob : Kinda doubt that, as much as the rear of that lambo isnt stock, the initial test fit really wasnt all that far off, pretty sure he could've just cut the back of the fiberglass bumper (as in, the side that sits against the car) without making it obvious that he did, also he could always paint the reinforcement-bar to match the bumper to make it even less obvious.
