Yes unfortunately. They should have had truckers rate their setup. Why put a portajohn together. When you could just buy one. He failed. Because he should have used a trucker gps. Which has overpass bridge height programming. 😂
I was shocked he actually learned it, even if he hasn't got it down. I expected some random notes. If my friend pulled that out of nowhere while camping the lads would go ballistic
It's almost as if when there is a production company making professional content that isn't being bankrolled by a huge publisher, such as BBC, Amazon, or Discovery, they have to find some other way to pay everybody's wages and cover the bills. It's also almost as though people think the pittance that is AdSense revenue from TH-cam, would be enough to cover these costs, rather than the reality of it being just about the smallest income the company has.
Maxwell builds a tin shed attached to the roof of a Saab. I understand why you would call it the Shaab (Shaarb?), but I'm just going to point out "Maxwell's House" was right there, begging to be used.
It was pretty disapointing that when Maxwell noticed the turbo inlet clamp was loose while they were doing their liqui-molly sponser segment, they just brushed it off. Could've done something with it at least.
I'll be honest, I really didn't expect Mike to actually play Warhammer 🤣 and to be able to play the LoTR theme ... when car nerds meet true nerds, magic happens XD
There is a differnce in having a sponsore and showing the products in a small part of your video or basicly making the whole video all about the products..... its not like there are no other yt channels with sponsors that donit waaaaaaay better and more subtle ^^ @@damionlee7658
@@damionlee7658 Don't think anyone is saying they shouldn't have sponsorship. Reading the comments, people are just pointing out that the majority of the video is product placement. It's an ongoing problem on Drivetribe since the channel started tbf. Plenty of other car related channels do it better without a comment section full of complaints, so it can be done if they bothered to listen to their viewers.
... yeah that reminds me of HAMMOND , looking scared in the darkness while the storm was bangging the tin panels ... and a plastic roof bit fall over in his guest room (the room with his portrait above the "fireplace" ) 👌
Should've added a score for cost, honestly. Still, watching the Shaab I'm getting instant flashbacks of a tri-level Citroen! Looks like DriveTribe is filling the gap left behind by TG, and I'm all in for it!!!
Great video. Watching you two service your cars makes me thankful for owning an EV for the last twelve years where all I've ever had to do is top off the washer fluid and change the tires.
Maxwell building his camper reminds me of Richard and his ridiculous camper thing he built for Top Gear that had all the walls and roof pieces and burned to the ground.
You guys really channelled top gear energy there while absolutely doing your own thing! Great to see the two of you grow into your style of doing things and take on big challenge series that are really fun to watch, too! You both bring a lot of personality that seems to be more than a role you're playing. Well done, more of this, please!
Here take a look at this product that sponsored us …. Here take a look at this product that sponsored us …. Here take a look at this product that sponsored us … here take a look at this product that sponsored us Very entertaining content…
At least you got what they were doing. It wasn't about the actual builds it was about tribute to TG/TGT. Hammond in particular...Land Rover caravan vs Sand Job rooftop tent.
I'm sorry there's no chemistry. Scripted jokes can be noticed from mile away. Product placement on product placement. Basically what I'm saying this is not organic in any way.
Mike channeled his inner James May and Maxwell channeled his inner Clarkson, the only thing missing was a hammer and the warcry of "MORE POWER!!"..and now back to the studio :D
Love a lot of the auto channels going at the moment. This was a bit different for Drivetribe and I for one enjoyed it. I don't understand all the bitching. The more Auto TH-cam channels going the better in my eyes. It doesn't have to be a competition, can't we just all enjoy Autoalex, Drivetrive, TDC et al all together and be thankful that there's lots of good content out there. And regarding sponsorship, they have to pay for it one way or another.
Those accommodations are like when a new cast member joins a long-running sitcom, and their trailer is the run down $h!tbox, while all the og cast has nice fancy expensive trailers 😂
Really. This is like one of the best videos and ideas for DRIVETRIBE. With Mikey and him and maybe Izzy at times. Introduce others in videos, also have cameos with Richard, DRIVETRIBE can be the legacy of Richard, Jeremy, and James' adventures.
Lol you didn't dilute the PVA glue with water to thin it out for the spray bottle to take it, but glad to see you almost get side tracked in the model trains I'd do the same lol
strapping a tent box to your car is not the challenge, you don't need an estate car for that. And can he say latitude a few more times? not sure I caught the name of the brand lol
im sort of seeing a new trio being made izzy and these two and hammond is mr wiiman he got them to put campers/tents on there cars tbh i wouldnt mind anything car related with hammond in it well worth watching
Mikes car was just sponsored gear thrown together, while Maxwells was in proper TG/GT style. Maxwell wins.
I totally agree! 😂😂
Mike basically bought all of his whilst Max made the effort and built all of his from scratch, Max wins
Mike should be DQ'd for cheating
Yes unfortunately. They should have had truckers rate their setup.
Why put a portajohn together. When you could just buy one. He failed. Because he should have used a trucker gps. Which has overpass bridge height programming. 😂
Mike is kinda infuriating. just saying --
Can we dock Mike points for showing up with un-painted minis?
10 points for a painted army so Minus 10 for Mike?
To be fair though, he did put more effort into the table than I ever have.
@@PeachyPixel28 Then Maxwell loses 20 for not having an army at all.
How about docking Mike points for being Mike
"You either die a hero, or live long to see yourself become Mr. Wilman" - Richard Hammond, probably
Mike playing Concerning Hobbits on that flute is now my highlight of Drivetribe. Well played sir.
That was honestly, my favourite part. The fact that he can actually do that, and do it well, was such a nice surprise
I was shocked he actually learned it, even if he hasn't got it down. I expected some random notes.
If my friend pulled that out of nowhere while camping the lads would go ballistic
Maxwell's hut is the fusion of Clarkson and Hammond on TG Caravan
Right! I was thinking the same thing.
How very rude of you, you're not allowed to mention the C word. 🤣
It is styling. And the in-shed entertainment
@@dodgywheelsandropeywiring5697 What Caravan? Why? they do...
@@Plasmastorm73_n5evv Not without leaving a nasty taste. 🤣
The 400 square meters that Hammond made on top gear, will never be matched.
Bros going full Jeremy Clarkson on that Saab
it reminds me of all three of the campers they made in that episode to some degree
Lads, somehow a little car content slipped in your product placement
It's ridiculous man
Same repeated contents that’s been done dozens of times before. Even worse with endorsements and sponsored products.
i think you need to go to spec savers m8 ;)
It's almost as if when there is a production company making professional content that isn't being bankrolled by a huge publisher, such as BBC, Amazon, or Discovery, they have to find some other way to pay everybody's wages and cover the bills.

Still fun though. Come on!
Maxwell builds a tin shed attached to the roof of a Saab. I understand why you would call it the Shaab (Shaarb?), but I'm just going to point out "Maxwell's House" was right there, begging to be used.
Fair. Very fair
you mean his Port-a-Loo?
When the grand tour finishes and TEMU tries to nail the market 😂
Exactly. It looks like a cheap knock off of TGT and top gears specials.
This whole video was just advertising for the tent company, decathlon, red bull, and the campsite, felt about as genuine as Katie Prices chest
And the oil cleaner things - the actual sponsored segment between the other sponsored segments
@@LeutnantComanderData 😂😂😂
Hey somewhere in this 30-minute video full of adverts and product placement is a cool video about cars
It was pretty disapointing that when Maxwell noticed the turbo inlet clamp was loose while they were doing their liqui-molly sponser segment, they just brushed it off. Could've done something with it at least.
No, it gone AWOL.
I'll be honest, I really didn't expect Mike to actually play Warhammer 🤣 and to be able to play the LoTR theme ... when car nerds meet true nerds, magic happens XD
Love love love they’re using a SAAB estate! 👍🏽
Maxwell’s reminds me of Richard’s on the Land Rover.
I thought that too but crossed with Clarkson's tall monstrosity.
@@Elwaves2925 Yep , exactly what I thought after.
And Mike reminds me of Richard on the TGT special SAND JOB. Did you ever stop to think this is how it was supposed to be? Old TG vs new TGT?
Modifying a camper shouldn't just be a tentbox on the roof....
Right, should be more like the boys did it in top gear!
Exactly…. It’s only one step away from just renting a caravan or trailer tent to tow for a couple of days 😂
You mean a literal tower on a citroen ?
Agreed, it's not really modifying your car if you are just buying something that can easily be fitted
I thought it was going to be more like the Africa special, Hammond even hinted at it last time
Please more more product advertisements
🤣
It got me
Seeing Maxwell's, it makes me think of Clarkson's tower block...
And richards home
Same and Richard's "mobile house"
Ahh, the old lets copy TopGear except with 95% product sponser.

Excellent fun to watch! For my money Maxwell won on the fact that he followed traditional TG/GT style. Mainly Clarkson style.
Really? So why did Hammond have a rooftop tent in Sand Job?
Sorry mike, im camp saab! More out of the box than the bmw, make the right choses and it will be a rocket, check out nordic performance
I bought this Saab!
Love both cars, and love how Maxwell channelling his inner Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson 🤣❤
When the Saab shed is a-rockin' don't come a-knockin'.
I'm sorry but the Saab deserved to win it is a much more interesting car and would have been epic with mods

100%
This concept feels like an old school "Top Gear" episode!
Max because he used a Saab and he did his own graft
Do you not see what they did here? Richard Hammond: Top Gear Land Rover Caravan episode vs Richard Hammond The Grand Tour SAND JOB Special.
Great video.
Watching you two service your cars makes me thankful for owning an EV for the last twelve years where all I've ever had to do is top off the washer fluid and change the tires.
If you'd made the wargaming table with a steel sheet, you could magnetise your bases and leave a game set up while you drive.
Hammond has become the dreaded Mr Wilman with the challenges
Maxwell building his camper reminds me of Richard and his ridiculous camper thing he built for Top Gear that had all the walls and roof pieces and burned to the ground.
This is like if Poundland made a top gear challenge.
24:23 it’s a shame ‘herb’ isn’t legal in this country otherwise this part would have been considerably different 😂
Got Clarkson zen garden vibes from the SHAAB 🤣🤣🤣
I also got Hammond Land Rover build it vibes...
Did Max not see what happened to Clarkson and Hammond when they did the camper challenge? 😅
Probably never saw an episode as young as he is...
Max should have gotten points for not having to disassemble in the end. He just drove off.

Much respect to Maxwell for his efforts. Proper TG effort.
Maxwell should have just 'done a Mike' at supper time, and ripped open a packet of sandwiches and declared victory.
A Warhammer gaming table? What a nerd!... What a glorious sight to be hold I mean! Very nice work Mike!

No. I think it subtly rocked, because of the build-it
Warhammer followed by a rave in a garden shed on top of a SAAB wagon. Did not expect that hahaha
I do enjoy how mikes becoming so unapologetically nerdy. It’s great to see.
Maxwell in true TG style.
More DriveTribe challenges like this
From Hammond?
Maybe budget hot hatchbacks next?
So... Richard has essentially just become your Andy Wilman at this point? I love it!
Half an hour vid, with 45 minutes of various product placements. It's getting ridiculous.
ALSO be glad you don't live in a place where adverts and product placement is the norm...like The USA and Canada...
