    If he doesn't have flood insurance that means he owns the home outright if he had a mortgage they demand flood insurance

      I worked in Crystal River for awhile and that is beyond stupid. You get flooded for heavy rain and right on the gulf. No sympathy

    Turns out the flood insurance was way cheaper....bet he was trying to get a policy this week before the storm .... Only to find out... No!

      Flood insurance is hardly cheap and it rarely covers the cost.

      @@crowbone8136 you can buy a policy that covers replacement cost. I would guess this gentleman would have been smart to insure his 5 homes. They were most likely rentals

      I worked in Crystal River and they are 40 year old trailers no homes. Real shit holes you can still get for 40 to 50k
