I started to try this last May. It takes time getting used to it, the launch angle is a little erratic sometimes, but that can be the result of playing it until it breaks (which is Sync in the crosses). I use the thicker gauge on both of them, they are borderline overpowered unless freshly strung. Even more power with the thinner ones. The feedback is good on flat strokes, not so much when spinning the ball, but even with a control stick I can produce some serious rpm. Highly recommend trying.
Interesting that a few things felt so different as compared to a full bed of one or the other... when you played them with full beds, that was with your Rad? Could that explain some of that? As of right now, which one did you like best: hybrid, full bed zero, or full bed sync?
Hi thanks for the review. I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have a 2024 Speed Pro & looking at either a full bed of Sync or a blend with Zero mains, Sync crosses. The Speed Pro is a 100sq inch 18/20, but the bed is fairly open for an 18/20. My stringer is suggesting the blend at 48lbs. I've read great things about a full bed of Sync - amazing feel, pocketing & control etc. Will I loose some of that feel and control if I go for the blend? I'm a tad worried about not being able to swing out fully with the Zero in the mains. Thanks
Hi. I have the 2022 Speed pro. Zero / sync became my go to. Has control and the extra spin and power from zero without it being launchy. I tried full bed of zero - more power but wasn’t so predictable. I could see the extra power but i made more errors. I would recommend thinking what weakness or what do you want the string to give you. I am not the hardest hitter so I need the extra help from zero. If you are ok in that department the full bed sync would give you the most control and touch. I havent tried a full ned of sync yet. I want to at some point and then I will drop tension a bit. I never found the hybrid being unpredictable. Great control and very good spin. At the end maybe worth testing both. Hope this helps.
Thanks for reviewing- I will avoid this setup due to launch inconsistency! I was strongly considering it, but definitely not now. Also, do you have a favorite softer, but controlled and durable poly recommendation? I'm thinking Tour M8, but maybe you have another idea?
@@micah2237 I would definitely try it out before you make a decision. It could have been just me on that day lol Absolute is pretty good from Toroline, but might be a bit on the power side for you. M8 is a great string. Solinco Tour Bite Soft could work.
@@MPTennis Thanks for the recommendations! As a big hitter, how quickly do Toroline 1.20 and 1.23 strings break for you? I'm always hesitant about using anything thinner than 1.28, but I see you're often using 1.23
After much testing diff strings over a long period this hybrid became my go-to setup. Full setup of zero was too powerful. Great on serves, just over shooting on some shots. I havent tried full bed of sync.
When I tried this setup at 46lbs I noticed very visible notching in the Synch and ultimately snapping. Considering I’m not a string snapper often, I wont be trying this again. How much wear and tear did you notice? Cheers
I'm using a 2019 Pure Aero 100 with Zero mains and Sync crosses at 52lbs. Somehow after a few hits, it's starting to notch and I'm not sure it's supposed to do that so quickly. Do you think it's the string, racket, or the stringer (Because I don't string it myself)?
@@ROSEMARY-gl7wx it would be more durable, but less comfortable… zero with wasabi X plays really well.. I put it in several people‘s racquets.. and they love it except for one person, although that individual asked me to string it in my opinion too tight… zero over 52 pounds is kind of stupid Zero plays a lot better below 50lbs
I have tried both companies and great strings. I dont think they claim to reinvent the wheel. They do have more arm friendly co-polies. I like supporting these smaller string only companies instead of the monopoly of the big ones. The smaller companies answers emails and you get customer support.

My current and favorite setup! Btw love the intro song. Did you try zero in 16 gauge? Helps w predictable launch

I happened to preference Sync/Zero as opposed to Zero mains when I tested them back to back but overall I’d rather use a full bed of Sync
@@BeckettChung I think I’ll give the other way a go but I liked sync full more too

Whats the difference between stringing crosses lower and higher? I've always heard of lowering.

Restring and Toroline are marketing companies that have done an incredible job of convincing tennis players that they've reinvented the wheel.

in terms of snapback and tension maintenance, they've certainly improved on the wheel at the very least

@jean-pierreuys1554 Agreed, I haven't found any other string setups (big or small company) that work for me as well as zero/sync hybrid
Not necesarelly. Zero/sync hybrid is really great!
hybrids are lowkey the wave of the 20's
