Yes Taylor are a very nice guitar & easy to play, only problem with them is the bolt on neck they can have issues, only few guitars brands have proper dove tail neck construction Martin, Gibson, Takamine & Maton any luthier will tell you they are more stable ! I personally have had problems with Taylors support with Warranty issues but were eventually resolved ....

I was curious what brand this was going to be and I was very pleased with myself when I heard the first 3 seconds of the opening playing and went in my head "that's a Taylor." And then "probably 800 or 900 series." Just so distinctive that even a relatively new tin ear like mine could pick it
no disrespect having owned several top Taylors and a dozen Martins over the last 50 years. I recently got a higher end Yamaha and became aware of how amazing the Yamaha guitar line at the higher end is. They not only project significantly MORE than any Taylor (and Martin) but have sustain that is incomparable. The shear low end, mid punch and sweet projecting high end is beyond what Taylor is offering. I would recommend anyone looking at a fine guitar begin their search trying a LL-16 on up on the Yamaha line and you'll be shocked and want to take it home(as I did)
I totally get this. About a week ago, after saving my pennies for a year, I was able to purchase my dream guitar: a 1976 Martin D-28 in pristine condition--I had to sell off a bunch of gear, but opening that case and then listening to the unmatched tone of an older Martin....it was heaven. And the great thing is that when you get the guitar you have always wanted, to get better as a player right away, 'cause all you do is practice. Thanks for this and for all of your great lessons.

Congratulations on the new guitar! I live a whopping 1.5 miles from the Taylor factory in El Cajon, CA. I've been to the factory a few times and went on the factory tour. It is worth the visit. I got an 814ce about 10 years ago and absolutely love it and it is my favorite guitar. Taylor makes very high quality instruments that sound amazing. Their lower end guitars and cases are made in Tecate, Mexico but still have great quality.
I’m 70 years old now. I’m playing my old 1937 Martin 0-17 in my avatar. which is a Concert size acoustic version. I just bought Taylor’s new ad22e which is an Mahogany top Grand Concert 00-17 it has V bracing and the warmth of the guitar is spectacular

I’m fortunate to have three 900 series Taylor’s in my guitar collection (along with a couple of less expensive Taylors) all 10-20 years old now. They are unbelievable instruments that I keep in different tunings. I play them regularly at gigs and almost every day in my studio. Truly amazing sound that just seems to get better in my mind!
