Sorry to hear about Marlyn's passing. Just known it now when this weekend, I suddenly started to listen again to Barbra songs, clips of movies which I do at times when feeling stress and want to feel good again. All the Bergman's and Barbra's great music treasures are my lifetime treasures on the air. I just don't know why this week I wanted to watch The Way We Were. I haven't seen its full length yet. Of course, my all time fave is Yentl (all about it - movie, Barbra, soundtrack songs, the team including the Amy Irving, Patinkin, Bergmans, Legrand ). More on the Bergman's What Matters Most, the Theme from the Promise are also my top favorites. Thank you for your music and legacy, wonderful collaboration with Barbra. I was 13 when my grandmother died in Cleveland, Ohio, the year that "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life" was released. My grandmother's house was emptied and put up for sale. Her vacant, carpet-less living room had the best acoustics. I would sneak her house keys, tip-toe into her former home, and sing "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life" acapella over and over again. The experience made me feel SO ALIVE, and so in touch with my loss. Till this very day, it's one of my favorite songs. Throughout my career, I've shared company with a few famous songwriters. Watching them work is like touching the face of God. What a wonderful video tribute this is.

Such beautiful melodies and lyrics that ranged from the simplest to the most complex, yet can be appreciated by even a teenager like myself then. "Yentl" songs and the movie itself had such an impact to me with what I was going through in life even at that age. And I had never heard of a more poignant song at that time than "On My Way To You". I adore Barbra. I made a beautiful collage of her and it disappeared. Never got it framed. Also had a stunning high gloss black & white signed picture of Barbra with curly hair in the collage. The picture was sent to me by post after I wrote to her as a young girl. I was smitten by her voice and acting. So funny thinking back how I used to sing my heart out to 'Guilty' and 'Evergreen' and imagine we were friends. So sweet.

A prolific lyricist whose artistry will live on over many, many lifetimes. But, how does one even attempt to convey the indelible mark one person has made in your life or try to quantify the sheer depth created by their loss? It is one of the most difficult and challenging aspects in saying goodbye to someone we love, but you truly captured the unconditional love, respect, gratitude and the overall essence of the eternal bond you two shared in this lifetime. Oh, Barbara that was a beautiful tribute to the great Marilyn Bergman. The Bergman's were/are one of the greatest song composers ever. One of my favorites they wrote and you sang is, "What are you doing the rest of your life?" She lived a full and gracious life. She wouldn't be forgotten.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY. In a hospital called Adelphi hospital that was knocked down the year after I was born 🤷♀️. Wish I had some amazing talent but I don't. I've been a nurse for 32 years, that's it. Great video and so very sorry on the loss of this talented woman but more importantly on the loss of your friend❤
