Me too - sponge filters all the way. I've never had one seize up on me, but I guess I haven't hit that level of hardcore yet lol. People don't like them because you can usually see them in the layout, but I'm good at camouflaging/integrating them into the scene enough for it to not stand out from the natural build. I love them for shrimp especially. Another great vid - loved the ending!
Thanks for sticking around. I know a small percentage make it to the hidden scene, the few the proud. Sponge filters for life. 🤘 My sponges have been close to 3 years of build up. I do overfeed and spawn heavy.
i havent had a clogged sponge filter yet, but after your last video mentioning it i tried it myself just to see what goo would pop out and it started bubbling as hard as it did when i bought it after and made the funny goo, very fun poopoo confetti, thank you also i still use the sticky house plant fungus gnat traps for my aphid troubles and its very successful i wish i could show you the bird-shaped trap completely covered in aphids looking like it was covered in crushed pepper
Oh wow. The butterwort or the sundew? My guess is butterwort since they can do low light. I’ve never thought about using them for aphids. I believe you mentioned non toxic sticky gnat tape for my floaters and I’ve been going to war with them since. They always seem to zap my floaters before the sticky tape can finish them off. My last resort was to put the floaters outside so the wasps and ants can get em.
My dude cleans tanks in his bathrobe on video. Respect
I'm getting ready to start up a modified Hamburg-Matten filter on several tanks for neocaridina. I've heard good things

Did you think I wouldn't recognize the Plok soundtrack? 😂
Good choice. 👍

That ending was great; time to dust off the Yoshi's Story cartridge!
Hell yeah brother-man.
Haha. I have a few syringes stocked up in my fish room too.
I’ve also been using 5 ml pipette for fish medicine and declorinator and haven’t looked back.
