    People should know that TP-Link will not ship out a replacement device under warranty unless you pay to ship the defective device to them first.

    Hi Jack, thanx for videos. Mine lost contact with the main unit. I am trying to reconnect it, but fail. I followed all the standard steps. I also press the reset button- dont know if this is why I cannot connect it again. Any suggestions, please?

    I've just had fibre installed and in the process of setting up my TP500. What I have noticed was that my fiber and old BB are different connections. Not a major problem but you did say about renaming, do you have a video showing how to do that? I walk from one room and notice that the signal drops until I get to the extender and then it picks back up but obviously on my old BB name. Thanks for the vids by the way, far better than what TP put out.

    Good video but my connection keeps failing. They have been great for more than a year. When l try to reset them at the moment, do l need to press the reset button before l pair them? If so what order do l need to do this. Help please!

    I bought these, and I cannot make it work, despite following your instructions carefully. The wifi asks for a password.Is there any way of stopping this password request and just making them work 'out of the box' like you said in the video?

      It all down to what brand you have but they can be , some broadband which are given to you as the setup won’t be good has you spending £100 on a branded one.

    Hi. Is this product supposed to clone your existing wifi providing you have WPS on your router? As far as I understand it (and according to your video) changing the credentials on the WiFi extender to simply match your existing wifi network credentials is STILL having a separate wifi network in the same building. This would mean some older devices would require the user to switch from one network to the other as you roam around the house. Does this product then have a clone feature whereupon your devices don't differentiate between the two and seamlessly switch?

      +jmcphee7 if both devices has the Same SSID and KEY it would only require one profile on your wifi devices, the wifi devices always look for the closer one to connect to, so when moving around the house or office it will always connect to the strongest or closer signal.

    So it's possible to pair together several extenders to the same "main" unit. I've been trying since yesterday but can't do it.
    And then my router does not have a WPS button. What do I do to use the same SSID and password?

      +Maurizio Macri remember the master one you not able to pair this up only one master one, the second one you can pair as many has you like up. goto your master one and click the pair button goto you new one you want to add and click the pair button and then wait, it should only take few second for it to pair.

    How can we configuered the adapter without a WPS button on the router?

    • @jacktechtips
      @jacktechtips  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      All wifi devices that come with a WPS button also have a web interface which you can login to using a mac/pc if you read the manual it will show you how to connect to it interface, once you on you can even change the pin for the WPS button and also disable it if you wanted to.
