Best video to date, I followed all the instructions and make markers as needed and got the seals replaced in about an hour. Thank you so much for the Video.
Very well and clearly filmed. Robot voice translation LOL . Did not mark position distributor position on engine. Since this is an OBD1 vehicle, put it back wrong and the engine won't start and you'll need to set the timing again. Also did not mark postion of "engine coupling" . you are advised to "remember position" better to mark both parts with a centre punch or scribe so there is no doubt when you put it back
i just did breh.. my 96 honda civic has a leak from the bottome if the distrubador u can see oil all the way dowb off the transmishion the tranny has all its oil but the engine seems to have less oil can this be the peoblem or might it be the oil cover gasket?
I will suscribe man, and recommend this channel, great quality video, i have to do this job tomorrow on mine (d16a9 jdm).... slightly different model thow. thanks
im having the most difficult time getting that connector to disconnect, I'm pressing the tab in the middle but the damn thing does not want to come off. I even tried using a flat head
Same here. Not sure what part to get for the seal. I went to autozone & the kit came with 2 seals. One 12.45 ID & one 12.5 ID. The OD of the seals seemed too large to seat in the cavity.

Anyway sir...is that also a cause of hard starting?oil leakage?...
Great help ! Thanks for taking the time of putting this video together ! I'm doing this on a 1998 CR-V soon. Again, thanks and keep up the good work !
AWESOME! Probably the BEST "Honda how to" channel on TH-cam! Thanks man👍👍🏁🔰
Make sure you mark orientation
really good vid. took me less than an hour to do my del bro
I think my distributor is the reason for the leaks. It is surrounded by motor oil.
Better than Eric the Car Guy's videos.
SO what about adjusting the timing? The distributor housing appears to be slotted.
Thank you!! very clear and concise video!
Plain and simple. Good video
Thank you for this video! great stuff that will help me a ton.
Very informative. Thanks 🙏

Is this a TEC distributor or a hitachi?
No thanks too much hassle just to do all this stuff I rather just buy a brand new distributor
People just buy new distributor when fix this problem lol
