      in the 2020 election, california voted around 63% for biden, but on the propositions, which requires you to actually read the description of the policy itself when deciding whether you support it, california only voted around 48% in line with the democrats.
      that means that, best case scenario, roughly 1/4 of people who support democrats dont actually support the democrats' policies, and just vote democrat because that's what they think they're suppose to do.

      @Michel vachon This is a horrible over-generalization.
      There are several young conservatives who are sick of most of our generation's visions and dreams of an entitlement society, welfare state, and unsustainable socialist policies that they idolize for some reason despite them being well taken care of due to their parent's success in a system that is completely opposed to the ideals that they want to cram down everyone else's throat.
      None of them even donate to charity or do any good for anyone else. Their stances are purely hypocritical in nature and that just makes it far more annoying.

      @Chad Klaren Heres a heads up on solar and wind power. Share this too. There is a world standard calculation used to work out how much space is needed for solar panels to produce X amount of electricity. To replace an average 4 by 2000 Megawatt power station with solar panels you need 20 million panels which will require over 14,800 square acres. China makes the bulk of all solar panels. To get a panel that will last the full 10 years life expectancy you need Tier 1 panels. Tier 3 are the rubbish ones and only last around 2 years. If you are buying from China even if you get a Tier 1 you'd better get a 10 year warranty because otherwise they wont be guaranteed to last that long. One problem - the Chinese government is refusing to honour the warrantys. As for the Wind Turbines, we all know they only work within a very narrow wind speed margin, too fast or too slow they wont work. As for how much space they take up - Germany just bulldozed 28,000 square acres of FOREST yes I did say forest, to install 24 turbines. When these ugly things reach the end of their 10 year life they are way way too expensive to pull down so they need more land for the new ones. Has a greenie/liberal ever considered any of this? I doubt it. But wait, dont they care about wildlife habitats and the earth? Do they know that they only install the turbines in windy corridors or that historically these corridors are used by migrating birds? These things kill and maim thousands of birds every year including the American Bald Eagle. So saving the planet is fine but at what cost? Hello PETA, Extinction Rebellion, are you listening?

      Free healthcare is promoted because almost every other first world nation has it.
      Correct me if I'm wrong but who said kids shouldn't need to do work in school? Wouldn't that be counterintuitive since Democrats promote going to college?
      How are Democrats pro crime?
      Democrats are not pro drug, we are about decriminalization and ending the war on drugs which imprisons an unnecessary amount of American citizens, and the NRE has recorded black people are 12 times more likely to be exonerated of drug crimes (which are generally open and shut cases).
      I'm guessing all the crap talk is hyperbole because that's insane and you know it isn't true.

      @@srshiny6037 maybe it's goals are good, but how the heck is it gonna be implemented? 51 trillion is like almost 2/3 of the world economy, and the higher estimate of 93 trillion is like atleast 10 trillion greater than the 80 trillion estimated world economy. Green new deal has great goals but implementing and doing the work to achieve those goals cannot be done with socialism, especially with someone who thinks billions are not made, but stolen.
      I'm not American. I'm Indian, and trying to convince the climate change threat millions of underprivileged in the Asian and African countries is impossible. The only thing that can be done is those who know about the problem can reduce usage of fossil fuels, and change construction methods to less polluting ways, and invest in solar cell research.

      His first and third point are lies. The deal may say those points, with an added, as technologically feasible. So sure, we can't get rid of all gas and carbon emissions, and planes, but we'll do as much as we can in 10 years. Hopefully with R&D, we can make a breakthrough and fly planes with a minimal carbon footprint, or even better, run planes on just electric. And before you act like it's a terrible thing, it's cheaper to charge an electric vehicle than to fill it up on gasoline.
      As for the jobs, I believe it includes that it's also for people who can't work. There are some people in Japan that can't physically move, so they have been GIVEN jobs where they control robots at cafes for money.
      But yes, he mislead them by not telling them the whole truth.

While "Independents" are not nationally recognized as an "Official Party" that is a good thing because anytime you have a "Party" whether it be Democrat/Republican/Tea Party etc etc there are going to be people in that party who want to become the "Face of the party" who decides they want to take this party in a direction that suits their own personal views. That is what is so great about being Independent There is NO LEADER no group telling you that if you have to support this or that otherwise, you are going against the party. @Mark Wilson no you haven't. How many times do I have to explain this to you? He is quoting a draft of the FAQ about the GND. Not the official GND, not the original GND, but a supporting document that was published accidentally and has since been denounced. The language of paying people unwilling to work is not in the official GND. Furthermore, neither is making fossil fuels illegal. And even if it was, it wouldn't matter because this is a non binding resolution meaning that passing it would simply acknowledge that the US has committed to the goal it sets, and then additional legislation to make it happen would need to be passed.
