From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) stars in the title role in “Mad Max: Fury Road”-the fourth in the franchise’s history. Oscar winner Charlize Theron (“Monster,” “Prometheus”) stars as the Imperator, Furiosa. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne (“Mad Max,” “Sleeping Beauty”) as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones (“Conan the Barbarian”) as Rictus Erectus. Collectively known as The Wives, Zoë Kravitz (“Divergent”) plays Toast, Riley Keough (“Magic Mike”) is Capable, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”) is Splendid, and supermodel Abbey Lee is The Dag, and Courtney Eaton is Fragile. Also featured in the movie are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and singer/songwriter/performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.
The cast is rounded out by well-known Australian actors John Howard and Richard Carter, supermodel Megan Gale, Angus Sampson, Joy Smithers, Gillian Jones, Melissa Jaffer and Melita Jurisic.
Oscar-winning filmmaker George Miller (“Happy Feet”) is directing the film from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller is also producing the film, along with longtime producing partner, Oscar nominee Doug Mitchell (“Babe”, “Happy Feet”), and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers.
The behind-the-scenes creative team includes Oscar-winning director of photography John Seale (“The English Patient”), production designer Colin Gibson (“Babe”), editor Margaret Sixel (“Happy Feet”), Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan (“A Room with a View”), action unit director and stunt coordinator Guy Norris (“Australia”), and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt (“Knowing”).
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Kennedy Miller Mitchell production, a George Miller film, “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The film is scheduled for release on May 15, 2015, and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.

This has the potential of blowing the roof off at the Box Office. Brings together a huge generational gap by 2 to 3 (4?) decades, lures people with creativity & diverse stylish background, motorcyclist/hot rodders/truckers/mechanic fanatics cannot resist...athletic individuals as well, perhaps? Even the person always rather waiting to download or purchase the film cannot deny the desire to watch this on the big screen. Maybe the grand parents will be the only oblivious to the existence of this sensational film about to come out at a theater near you!

i had so many thoughts running through my head while watching this trailer that lead me to these conclusions:
1. this movie had the best trailers in 2015!
2. this has become my 2nd most anticipating movie of 2015 after age of ultron
3. tom hardy reminds me of mel gibson and he is one of the most wanted actors in hollywood.
he was bane, now mad max and he'll be in splinter cell, elton john biopic and in revenant with leo di caprio.

so this is what happens when the world doesn't become independent of oil, doesn't have solar panels, wind farms, hydro power to power everything, the world goes crazy. BTW an offroad, armored AWD version of the Tesla model X would be the best Mad Max vehicle.

If you can think of a reason a Mad Max movie doesn’t belong in 3D, then more power to you. However, from the moment the first 2D trailers for Mad Max: Fury Road popped up on the internet, it was clearly a film that was born for the medium. A chaotic wasteland of rusted vehicles, desperate people, and explosions galore belongs in a 3D theater.
At one point in the development of Mad Max: Fury Road, George Miller planned to film the entire picture in native 3D. Those plans fell by the wayside, but you can tell that Miller has always intended this madness to be in the third dimension, and he has no problem using that aspect of the film as a symbolic and artistic tool. They didn’t just convert Mad Max: Fury Road into 3D, they actually had fun with it!And I had fun with it
As far as before the window thrills go, there is a lot that gets believably thrown at you in this film. People, vehicles, debris, even a climactic shot of a steering wheel, which take us into the ornamental metal skull mounted on it - all of it pops, and it pops spectacularly. The unofficial test of "Did the 3D make me flinch?" passed with flying colors, as there are a couple of truly surprising moments of excitement in
Mad Max: Fury Road deliniates very clearly between the three main fields of 3D vision: characters, objects, and backgrounds. The depth of picture throughout the film is uncanny, especially considering how crowded any random frame of this movie can get. The best indication of the film’s prowess beyond the window is during the many sequences where one vehicle is trying to ram or cross another’s path. It's spectacular.
When it comes to the 3D conversion process, the only factor that I can fault Mad Max: Fury Road on is the brightness. Now, this is a problem for most films projected in 3D (and it might have something to do with the theater in which I screened this), but this issue particularly hampers this film in particular. The reasoning behind this critique is that there’s an extended night sequence that relies on a dark and murky blue-and-black color palette. This sequence is a little harder to see than the rest of the film, and the colors pop much more effectively once you take your glasses off.I loved this movie in 3-D and here is the reason why...
