That is kind of you.
This movie was a failure is a garbage, it has nothing to do with the films of MAD MAX 1, 2 and 3 old.
Manuel González Are you kidding? It's a great movie and directed by the same director who started the series.
"I need 375 Million for a Mad Max movie."
"That's alot for CGI and actors."
"What's CGI?"
Well, let's be honest. They didn't exactly have access to a giant, neverending tornado sandstorm.
@@HypothermicBacklash I wouldn't put it past Miller to rig up a shit ton of fans to produce one on demand.
There is very significant amount of CGI in this movie. It's kind of hilarious that they marketed it as "almost no CGI." There are CGI touchups on every single frame of this film. Every single one. But they at least built the cars practically, and performed many of the stunts practically. But I mean we're talking every single explosion is CGI, every single death at speed, every stunt that was too dangerous for real, every single frame with Furiosa's missing arm, the storms, all the way down to the gecko Max crushes at the beginning. This movie is like one step down from an Avengers level of CGI. They just happened to do awesome practical work on top of it.
@@naztetv8862 yeah, cgi was used, but don’t you dare compare this masterpiece to the weird theme park known as avengers movies. If this was made by Disney and Marvel, the polecats would be fake, the peacemaker, Bigfoot, gigahorse, everything would be fake including the background. What they did with this movie was use a stunning amount of practical effects, and where they used cgi, it was difficult to notice. Because you cannot see good cgi. If you see cgi, then it didn’t do it’s job. I think a great example is the explosion of the People Eater. When they filmed it, they actually exploded the real vehicle, and in editing used cgi onto enhance the explosion to make it more spectacular. But because it was on top of practical effects, you wouldn’t know it was fake.
Also, I mean, cutting off an actress’s arm for a film probably isn’t okay with the unions, so I’ll def. give you that
I'd say that the sandstorm scene perfectly exemplifies that is not precisely realism what makes the difference when it comes to great or bad CGI, but rather the cinematic artistry. Granted the sand tornado was not the most realistic shot of the movie, but you can't deny it was DAMN awesome. And that's because the CGI was well supported by so much more! Perfect score, frame composition, the pacing, even the color palette. It all added up to create an amazing scene. It wasn't just plain and senseless CGI with no thought into it like Marvel or Kong or some crap like that.

Didn't the villain discover that Furiosa stole all his women and that's why he sent everyone?
For a film that’s basically driving somewhere and then just turning around and driving back, it sure is amazing.
Almost all mad max movies/game:
>max gets fucked up
>someone steals his hair and car
>meets the antagonist leader
>meets their new friends of the movie
>one friend dies bc you have to hate the antagonist
>other friend wants to go to somewhere o get a mcguffin
>conflict but their objective is met
>mcguffin dont exist, lets go back
>someone gets captured
>antagonist dies, one of the friends too
>max goes away
I mean, if it aint broken…
It's what makes it a great movie actually...the plot is simple, no amazing plot twists. It's why I can re-watch a lot without being much less fun. The action, camera work, special effects, actors and directing is what makes it an amazing movie.
The genius of George Miller.
Making a good case for originality and story not being as important as execution.
It's all style and execution. It's cinema. It's action cinema. Sometimes all you really need is brilliant action, gorgeous visuals, amazing direction, editing and cinematography and you've got yourself one of the best action movies of the 21st century.

One of the best movies i have ever seen during my life! Epic and magnificent! At the age of 70, George Miller created a masterpiece! I remember during watching i felt ecstasy and squealed like a child with pleasure! Some years have passed but i still think its one of the best psydieselpunk action movies ever created!
This is footage of Australians driving their kids to school every morning.
Is it just me or is this first action film that actually looks beautiful? I mean the cinematography and the shots of the landscapes is fucking gorgeous. Even the rusty looking cars and truck looks beautiful? lol
It's the amount of detail. A lot of blockbuster CGI films will fill time with cloned armies and pixelated fog.
Real cinematography on display by someone who's craft wasn't rotted by generations of CGI reboots, remakes and nostalgia traps. It can be a movie about anything, but it can still be filmed in a beautiful and compelling way. Particularly if done so on real film.
Thanks for your comments ❤️
Did you notice that the action is focused on one point of the screen even when camera changes?
Really, close your fingers to the place in screen were the action is and be surprised
That makes more comfortable to see it and don't lose a detail
I saw it in imax and it was wonderful

The War Boys are very aware of their dominant position in the Wasteland, and take every opportunity to flaunt their access to resources from the Bullet Farm & Gastown, the whole point is that they do in fact have the resources to spare.

I’m not a fan of action movies but I watched this movie in film class and I was blown away by the whole thing. If I saw this playing on TV or if it was available to watch somewhere I’d watch it again in a heartbeat
I’ve somehow ended up with 4 copies lol
