@@truthseeker1234 not necessarily a liar but he can make the data look very favorable to your situation. The state's lawyer did a terrible job on his cross examination of this witness.
No one has mentioned that Alex could have been sitting in a golf cart when he shot them. Remember Maggie had a tire mark on her leg. This would account for the lower shooting angle as well. it was a 3 seater golf cart with rear flip seat charger) the top of the steering wheel is 49” making the seat 36” off the ground. Add Alex’s heights on the seat which makes him roughly 5’2”-5’4” firearm height. This is probably what happened ......with the addition of him driving up to the room in the cart then washing himself and the cart down and driving back to the house.....Seems more feasible. th-cam.com/video/8aYfUUMiyKg/w-d-xo.html
Everyone keeps saying the 2 guns make them think it wasn't him. We're talking about a deceitful (20 years) defense attorney. He used TWO GUNS to make it look like two shooters and to take the focus off of himself. What he didn't anticipate was Paul's very own snap chat video, Onstar, phone records, etc, that put him at the crime scene. He's a murderer. Guilty. If I'm wrong, why would the "real " evidence point to him and him only. My son was murdered and I've never heard of anyone putting up a reward for just a specific period of time.... that's ludicrous. This witness is bought and paid for by the defense, and he even says, "It's my opinion "... and you know what we all say about opinions. I'm surprised they even let this guy even testify. Trying to imply it was the cartel because most of them are between 5'2 and 5'5. I just hope the jury sees thru this bs defense play.
I don’t believe he used 2 guns intentionally. The second shot at Paul was fired while holding the shotgun by his thigh. He was shocked the first shot didn’t drop him instantly, and he lowered the gun and backed up, firing with his right hand by his side. The recoil from the shotgun caused him to drop it. He’s backing up and gets to the side by side where there’s the. .300, that he grabs to shoot Maggie.
@@bfg1836 Perhaps two guns were planned to be used by AM, remember he is a hunter, the shotgun was used for the more formidable victim at close range in the event there is a struggle. Then knowing his wife may run after he kills his son, he uses the rifle for a longer distant kill shot if necessary.
The two considerations are the fact there were two guns and the kind of guns they were. Any shooter working for a cartel would have used a specialized weapon that would have facilitated a smooth execution of the crime. BtwAll expert witnesses use the phrase “In my opinion”
Or croughing/going down to pick up the rifle and seeing paul is still alive and standing up, panick shots the second shot from that position, turning around while picking up the rifle to shoot maggie, and as he was raising the gun shot her in the leg, then side and and upper body, walked around and shot her in the head...something like that anyway
Exactly...or sitting on the ATV or lying on his stomach. Surely folks on jury has seen war movies. This guy mostly reconstructs accident scenes. The prosecution will drive this home during cross.
When he fired the shot that killed Paul he was in a crouching position and that took off. Most of his skull and his brains were down by his feet. Alec is 6.4...and in a crouched position he would measure somewhere around five foot two to five foot to five foot four. He would have to crouch to shoot Maggie in the head because I believe she was on her hands and knees with her head down unless he shot her in the back of the head. Really how hard would it be to find a five foot two man.. Unless it was a woman. I could not breathe when he said it could not be Alex. I don't believe this for a moment. Am I missing something here?
agree with that thoery because he was getting bird from bubba mouth maybe he came in from ground or could the shooters been on the roof, and just missed alex
@@postcardsfromprotest or hid the guns in a specific location in the woods by back road? But… their dogs hearing is way more sensitive than humans so they’d be barking a lot, right?
Pathetic. Even if you want to believe this theory rest assured that one was caught. Only Alex knows if there is another killer and a murderer can't be trusted.
@@julesservantofjesus972 no they didn't lol..... Math doesn't lie or change.... this guy is right. No matter how butt hurt the state got... the math is there.... they just chose not to do it
I don't believe the person was 5 foot 2 inches. I Hunt... If a tall person puts the butt of a Gun down and raise it up a little will have the same out come.
Also ALEC could been kneeling down behind a quad or on the quad as it was determined it was same tire print of that POLARIS on Maggie calf. Not reasonable at all to say the shooter was 5'2 ! Hey, can I borrow couple guns and bullets.
You can not believe the way this prosecution puts things. They twist everything to make the defense look defenseless, Alec and Buster both had put up a reward to help find killers.
@@EricaBaker2023 a time limited reward that they knew would not be paid out because they both knew exactly who did the shooting. Who puts such a short timescale on a reward ?
Alex's Murdaugh had many different guns so it would not surprise me he used different gun's to make it look like there was 2 shooter's. But I believe he just switched guns to make it look like 2 shooter's. So not buying that. Paul was killed 1st then Maggie was chased down.
There could be 10 killers but one who was there just minutes before it all went down lied about being there and there was no evidence of any stranger who was never there before. Furthermore, the family guns were used. I highly doubt cartel or another killer would choose the family shotguns to kill these folks. They didn't seem to be taken by surprise by no means. It's hard to beat the evidence even if you tried. Videos and cell phone/car data got this right. Paul spoke from the grave.
ALSO, some killer took Maggie's phone thru ut down long driveway, and nor Paul's??? Paul was gonna cost Alex millions, Maggie wS probably gonna divorce and taje half, alex had to get rid of the both of them, you cannot sue a dead person-paul, Maggie being dead, alex would get all the properties and assets. --- BAM
Alex was there at the Moselle kennels, in spite of the fact he lied and said he wasn't. He had over an 1 1/4 hr to pull it off. He had the guns in the kennels loaded & change of clothes ready. He probably wore a disposable suit to protect him from tissue & blood. Then he washed off the using the kennel hose. Disposed guns & clothes wrapped in a tarp at Almeda. Hid guns there. Brought the tarp into the Almeda house & hid it in the closet. Drove back to Moselle 80 mph & called 911. He went back up to the house & grabbed a shotgun & returned to the crime scene. When the police arrived, he had the gun, as an explanation for GSR on his hands. He will get away with this because of that town. A family member went to Almeda & got rid of the guns & clothing. If you check the timeline, this is all possible & well planned.
And how did he control the blood and tissue splatter? It doesn’t matter how much you cover up yourself blood, tissue & brain will land somewhere on your body!
The shotgun was located in Paul’s vehicle, along with an HDD rifle that “mysteriously” made its way back up to the main house after the murders (along with Paul’s truck being driven back up there) the Benelli was his but the black 300 blackout was Buster’s, Paul was just using it during turkey hunting season in Apri-May because he lost his camo one. Guessing that is the only one AM may have had access to without accessing Paul’s car. They regularly loaded shotguns with alternating buck and bird shots, I don’t think there’s any way to know whether (those empty bullet boxes SLED found in the trash) Paul had loaded the guns at some point himself or if AM did so that night after getting them out of Paul’s car. He wore the raincoat to cover himself during the shootings, washed himself off with the hose in the kennel, wrapped the blackout in the raincoat and put it in the suburban to take to Almeda where he hid it near the trees, then came back to retrieve it and dispose of it properly over the next few days. He wouldn’t have had to speed 80mph the whole way to Almeda, he just sped up significantly after he slowed to throw Maggie’s phone out of the window. I don’t think he will get away with the murders. Despite all that the prosecution has been unable to bring in as evidence of guilt, they’ve still managed to put together a solid case. The Snapchat video, the bloody smear of the shirt, the 20 seconds between arriving at the scene and calling 911, the blood on the steering wheel, too many things prove he lied when he would have no reason to if he was innocent. At best it might be a mistrial, but the state would just immediately attempt a new trial.
This guy was a joke. I do guns. A lot. I do ballistics gel testing on ammo. Bullets almost always change direction in gel that mimics the body. He didn’t take that into account, at all. Instead he came up with a bizarre theory that they were killed by a cub scout pack.
Were those bullets that exited the body? I don't recall them saying so. If they were missed shots that didn't enter the body, could the shooter have been sitting in a golf cart/ATV or bending over the hood?
I just looked at Census data from 2007-2008 and the percentage of males 5'2" were not even in the data. It said the amount was too small to be significant. Cub Scouts...Lol
His explainations were so ridiculous. Almost all his trajectory are straight line. This is definitely not his field of expertise. He is a mechanical engineer dealing with hard objects in movements i.e, automobiles. He tried to justy it by saying he seen deer being shots from a distance. But he has not dealt with scenes involving shooting of people. It's all supposition-not scientific fact.
Don't forget Paul Snapchat video just before they were killed. Alex's Murdaugh voice was heard in Snapchat video so he was definitely there. He left 9.10 pm and he slowed down where the phone was found. So it's difficult not to think it was Alex's Murdaugh all along who did this. It's heartbreaking
Let's talk timeline. Paul's phone locks at 849, Alex leaves w his truck at 906, from the house 1/3 of a mile away. In 15 min he would need to get back to the house 1/3 of a mile, ditch 2 guns, clean up and ditch clothing. All in 15 min. Just bc Paul's phone locks at 849 doesn't mean that is when he was killed which would also shorten the 15 min to ?????. That murder was BRUTAL and the shooter would have blood and bodily matter...15 min. Please tell me HOW??? The state has NOT proved the case AT ALL! why the rush to charge without evidence. Alex will already spend the rest of his life in prison for his financial crimes.
@@jennifervangorder2474 is the VanGorder family related to the Murtaugh family ???? Any person with common sense, eyes and ears knows the evidence that has been provided and that it all points to Alex and no one else.
Yes, lets go over the timeline: Alex had access to ATV, per his testimony, Maggie was not a walker. She also had the impression of ATV wheel tread on her leg. he can get to his truck in a minute. Takes a minute or two to murder his family. He changed clothes at the truck & ditched the murder outfit he wore in the video earlier that day, it is missing.
It’s not funny, yet reading “two little short people” as killers made me chuckle ~ I’m right between that height! But really, you’re right~ THAT whole theory is so ridiculous! We ALL already know Alec was THERE ~ 3-mins before, or even in Alec’s testimonies leaving at 9:06+/- that’s still only like 10-12 mins for two little short people to do this much harm AND get away when Alec was just 1/3 mile away! And didn’t take that little slight left turn to check on his wife and son who didn’t respond??! Makes no sense!
I wonder why the prosecution didn't have an expert to explain? Hmmm I'll tell you why ,the numbers weren't in their favor. So if course the defense should have an expert to this. It only helps the defense. Even though there is a couple of things that hurt the defense as well 👍I don't blame the defense for showing the jury. 👍
Since that is a total mischaracterization of reality please don't feel offended by a few sarcastic remarks: Is horseback still the most popular form of transportation? What year is it anyway? The COMPANY Mr. Suttun works for charges $350 hr and Mr Suttun said he has 40 payable hours.
@@Snail.1 It is not because the numbers were in the defense's favor. If the prosecution needs an expert they would have one. There are often 2 opposing sides in trials. The defense must pay big money for this guy. Try researching this witness he's likely testified in numerous trials.
How do we know those holes in the quail pen and dog house weren't there before the murders? How do we know the casings weren't there before since they said they were all over the property.
The guy said he's a 'forensics engineer ' but has experience in materials, mechanical engineering only. The fact he worked with an ex-NASA that's very mechanical to do with automobiles and moving objects. Has a Masters in Mechanical engineering, structural, product which is capable of being 'explained and understood'. So basically he's here to explain what might have happened . That doesn't even cover 'crime scene, pathology, ballistics forensics but the defense is asking him like he an expert in all engineering fields. The prosecutor did a good job in exposing the fact that the guy has no qualifications that warrant his testimony on crime scene reconstruction. It's all supposition and probability-not fact.
He is a forensics engineer.... Its math and engineering.... the crime scene was processed by similar individuals using math science and engineering sorry those are facts... I worked in civil engineering and used similar Cad tools. I am sure that his opinion was based in fact. I have done accident reconstructions and told investigators where to look for clues or parts and because of math predictions. His conclusions are just that conclusions based on the information supplied. SLED and the prosecution has not really done a good job here... The lawyer during cross examination was playing lawyer tricks not blowing holes in his theory if the Jury noticed that it maybe all but over for the prosecution. The prosecution has the burden and well i am not sure how i would vote but i am sure yesterday was a good defense day! PS Alex Murdaugh is a bad guy but not sure if he is a Murderer... I hope the prosecution can redeem itself. because if he is not the murderer then someone got away. I think he is probably guilty but yesterday was bad for the prosecution!
This is the most intelligent explanation of this expert witness’s purpose here.I agree with everything you said, hopefully the jury will absorb it well and not be derailed by the prosecution’s antagonistic, demeaning cross examination of this witness.
Absolutely RIDICULOUS to conjecture that a 5'2" - 5'3" person did the shooting! Why wasn't it suggested that the shooter was kneeling? Or doubled over to avoid being recognized??? The Prosecution has missed some valid, decisive points....
I think it was a revenge killing for Mallorys death. I think they went to kill Paul bc they knew his dad could get him off the hook and it pissed them off more
If there were two strangers on the property (who supposedly turned up less than four minutes before the murders) we would have heard the dogs in Paul’s video featuring Alex, going beserk? Bubba would have dropped the chicken and gone for the 5 ft 2 assassin? According to Paul’s video timing, minutes wouldn’t have been enough time for Alex to vacate the property completely. Anyone who hunts animals for pleasure has no heart imo, and we’ve already seen the family get away with incidents in which threats to them in some way lost their lives. The Murdaugh’s and their twisted crew need to be held accountable.
Good point. The dogs WOULD HAVE SENSED/SMELLED/HEARD the “unknown killer” lurking nearby for that 3 1/2 minute window and dogs WOULD have been going crazy!
@@atee6331 Exactly! Dead on! I’ve been watching this trial via TH-cam, I’ve only read 2 comments relating to the dogs. Yours is the 2nd one. Amazed no one has yet mentioned the dogs 🐕 detecting any scent and/or unusual sounds coming from their surroundings would be key.
@@caroll6541 thanks! But it really was Gemma Boyd who mentioned the dogs and I was adding my thoughts to “he” spot-on points🙂. That’s what I replied to her ~ that she made a very good point since the murders happened in such a short window after all 3 were heard on the video at the kennels. Take care!
ehhhh dogs can be incredibly sensitive and detect that stuff and incredibly dumb at times too... if they are in a kennel to them its almost like their whole senses are removed cause they can see outside or smell and little noises sound big cause echo... a guy could be chilling off in thye bushes and those dogs may have never known... why do they even have to be near the kennels they have an AR15
@@HIGH_noon Bubba was out of his kennel and killing a chicken approx. 4 minutes before the murders; enough time for Bubba to be returned to the kennel by whoever was at the scene (and I doubt he would have let a stranger handle him when he was already riled up). According to the forensic pathologist the shooter was about 3 ft away from both victims before they were executed, so he / they had to have been in the kennels area. All of the dogs were locked up to protect them / so that they didn’t attack. Imo, the dogs knew the shooter: either Alex or one of his cronies who he got to do his dirty work. From the shocking revelations about the family I keep learning, Alex is definitely at the very least involved.
BUSTER SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO TAKE THE STAND SINCE HE WAS PRESENT IN THE COURT, WAS ABLE TO LISTEN TO ALL THE WITNESSES. THIS IS A DOUBLE-MURDER CASE INVOLVING A VERY INFLUENTIAL FAMILY IN THEIR STATE.
I am in Australia, and I asked this question last week. In Australia, anyone who testifies is held in another room until called and they never hear what any other witness has said. This is the same in every English speaking country in the world except you know where so it seems.
This guy acts like 1. You can't move shell casings. 2. You have any idea how the weapon ejects casings without the gun. 3. The bullets that hit the the pin def went thru maggie. 4. You can't shoot a gun in any position but standing. I hope at lest one juror sees all this and can explain it to everyone.
He did his best to make it look like there were two killers by using 2 different guns but he told on himself by not pretending to be afraid that there was still a shooter on the loose the weeks following the murders. He's the one who killed his family. I have no doubt about that.
agree but he never stayed there after the murders stayed with other family members and carried a gun. He had something to do with but they need to investigate his drug ties unless he wanted maggs dead and had to make it look like paul from the boat accident that killed Mallory Beach. he truthfully remorse over Paul Paul but can’t remember the last thing he would have ever said to his murdered wife is beyond belief. its obvious to get out of financial debt or pay drug dealers and suicidal depression not hatred of his family
It should be against the law for them to have court in the same state known corruption is happening with favoritism of the murdaugh family and them being dynasty family of Lawyers. They should have sent neutral parties to handle this case. The way the attorneys are constantly shuffling papers and stuff is extremely unsecure if they were to shuffle the other attorneys paperwork with theirs smh I'm seeing so much unprofessionalism from this court and is the judge even awake lol I've never heard a judge so quiet with all the tomfoolery happening here. Just my opinion though.
Couldn't these trajectories be explained by Alex shooting from a crouched position, or shooting while raising the rifle? Just because he's 6'4" doesn't mean the rifle was shouldered when fired. He could have been hip-firing, for example. Or perhaps after dropping the shotgun, he quickly stooped to pick up the .300 rifle, firing while either raising it or standing back up.
They could also be explained by passing through a human body, human bodies ALWAYS change the trajectory of a bullet, even if just slightly. This dude's the worst engineer ever
@@ghostwalk2446 I would agree, but idk if .300 passes that cleanly through a body, even up close. But that is a question I would want answered if I were on the jury
@SittingInDetroit The inly thing there is that the shell casings are all to the left of the cart as it's parked, but the .300 AR15 would eject those casings to the right, unless it was a left-handed upper receiver, which is rare. The State was asking about how common left-handed AR15s are so it seems like they had considered that.
So how about this for a scenario. The shooter shoots Paul in the chest the first time and Paul does not go down but instead steps forward towards the shooter. The shooter intern steps backwards and then falling over the threshold of the feed room and takes second shot from a ground position. This would be the Fatal shot that shot Paul in the head. Paul's brains were found at his feet. That means he was still standing before obviously falling to the ground
IN MY VIEW If you watch Dr. Kenny Kensey beginning at the time Mike Sutton came on the scene he acted like a spoiled child because someone else (Mike Sutton) is getting attention as a forensic expert. He acted like HE is the ONLY ONE important in this field. Each of two men are professionals in their forensic field. Mike Sutton was secure, professional and confident. Dr. Kenny Kensey was until Sutton came.
Gotta love the "I dont need to test, i dont need expert training, I can use my common sense, it's like 9-1=8 it's just basic math" Thats almost literally what he said. How was he not immediately kicked off the stand lol what a farce that was
The state has to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt that Alex committed the murders. The state cannot leave any doubt that he was the shooter. The state has not done that.
Beyond a reasonable doubt leaves plenty of room for doubt. The doubt must be unreasonable, however, which is exactly the type of doubt this “expert” witness is offering up. His claim is unreasonable in light of the indisputable facts and evidence in this case.
Forensic engineering is the investigation of structural failures and damage. It has nothing to do with crime scene reconstruction and analysis, which is very specialized training and education. There seems to be a question of what crime scene reconstruction and analysis this expert has. However, since he's been qualified in court as a shooting incidence reconstruction, he's an expert. However, unless he's conducted actual experiments involving tossing smartphones from moving vehicles and studying their motion after they hit the ground consisting of various surfaces, he's speculating regarding how far the smartphone travels before stopping.
Physics are a part of an investigation, not the only part if an investigation. I'm not buying into anything that was testified today. It's a weak defense so far, IMO.
What’s important here is no one is denying Alex killed his wife and son but want to add another person was involved too. Well… that doesn’t fly based upon geo fence, cell phone data and tracking.
A 300 Blackout round doesn't have an offensive recoil so it's not supposed to leave a bruise on your shoulder BUT... a lot of ppl in the reviews have said theirs did for one reason or another. Imo that's why he aimed from the hip to prevent leaving a possible bruise. This was so premeditated I wouldn't be suprised if he'd been practicing shooting every which way to see the outcome. Those bullets are massive. I cannot imagine being hit with one of those. I think Paul lunged forward to try & grab that gun from his father. This monster deserves to forgo the death penalty & go straight to hell where he belongs.
This defense attorney drives me crazy with his “duh, I don’t understand anything , show me “ pretense, when it’s quite clear shooter was on the golf cart…. GOD LEFT THAT CLUE ON MAGGIE’S LEG
He learned his behaviors from his narcissistic father. They are cold, unfeeling and have no empathy! Paul was like this when he wrecked the boat in videos. Alex was like this at the murder scene, he spoke of Paul’s boat wreck more than the murder of his family! Buster learned it well!
Agree. The two of them on jailhouse recording talking about the $60,000.00 to pay off his re-entry into law school. AM just laughing about the conversations being recorded. Paul was laughing at the boat scene and Mallory's boyfriend went off on him. It was so horrible to hear her boyfriend wailing in pain and yelling at Paul to stopping laughing.
And let's not forget about the former housekeeper who died from "blunt force trauma" to the head while cleaning Murdaugh's home, or the friend of Paul and Buster who was found dead on the side of the road also with blunt force head trauma. Quite the body count
Wow!!! Apparently you hate this family. Are you jealous they are wealthy? Do not hate people because they are well off. Instead hate sin, and hating others is a sin.
@roseannahall265 dont forget they are being taught to kill animals from a very young age. Getting them guns for christmas! When Buster talked about the guns in the house ("lots") I thought is that an army camp? Seeing animals blessed, running for their life and all that blood, must do something to the brain of a child!
A taller killer could be sitting in a side-by-side ATV cart which would make the trajectory lower and also low one to have two guns at one time. AM’s not off the hook!
Yes he called and asked Maggie to come back to see his Dad and they never went? And he was seen in Paul's Snapchat jist minutes before they were shot. Just sketchy. And after the guessed timing of when they were shot he happens to leave? There are just so many sketchy things.
1:10:02 ... is this funny during a double homicide case? The lead defense attorney pointing a gun at the prosecution table and saying "tempting" Holy hell.. how was he not reprimanded for that?
Why else would Alex lie and say he never went down to see his wife and son before he left to go see his mother?????Don’t have to be an expert to know why
To be quite honest, the whole family's corrupt. The victims are his clients. The people who he exploited. His family reaped all those rewards. All of them.
1:35:36 if they bring in pictures like this (no hearing protectors on) I doubt their conclusions. This man's story is only to sow confusion. "Just to bring in more pictures of the testing" How much money does he get from Alex Murdough..... 🤔
He hold a plastic or paper bag around the ejection port to catch the empty shell casings. Then he walked closer and planted them to throw the investigation off. He know police forensic techniques.
I feel like it’s important to remember that just because someone is a liar that doesn’t make them a murderer. Is it shady, absolutely. Is it guaranteed that he kill them folks, no. Let the process take its course
Cops tainted the scene and they all know that! They waited to actually search for anything else! Seems like they had it in their heads to say A. M. Did the killings because they totally LOST the REAL EVIDENCE! And it was raining when the officer was not long on the scene! Which should have made them move alot faster before the evidence is degraded due to the rain!
I think its not the dishonesty itself but the motive of money. Like those childten about to turn 18. As happened, one theft revealed would release all of the other thefts from hiding.
So why were there bullet holes in the cage and dog house? Seems like hair trigger like someone doesn't necessarily know how to properly shoot a rifle? When Alex was probably well trained? Plus the height of the shooter (s) ? The sandle marks of footprints and boot foot prints , when Alex was wearing tennis shoes? Everyone is quick to judge him maybe his son did have people wanting to get back at him , possibly a friend or family of the guy who got shot on the road while changing a tire? Or the family or friends of the girl who got killed in the boat accident? It just seems lazy to me that they are more focused on framing or blaming Alex when certain things and questions just aren't being addressed, the angle of the bullet wounds to the victims to me indicates also the shooter (s) were terrible shots. ... Innocent people have been put away for years for crimes they didn't commit because the prosecutors I feel are lazy and kinda assholes they're interested in finding lies not facts ... Think about it ... I mean really and to kill Maggie she must have witnessed the shooter (s) and we all know what happens to witnesses that see shootings . Dead man tell no tales
There is no evidence of motive for brutally murdering a wife that he loved and was devoted to and a son that he loved as well. I don't care how rotten he is, he shouldn't go to jail for a murder that he didn't commit. People jumping to conclusions are the reasons why innocent people go to jail.
There is less that 10 mins from when he was there in the Snapchat video with bubba and when they were killed based on phone records. He was about to be exposed for stealing we don’t know how many millions. Getting rid of Paul eliminated the need for anyone looking in his finances for the court case THAT WEEK, and also Maggie investigating anything since she had saw a divorce lawyer.
They are "experts" at confusing a jury. And they get paid about $10,000an hour for their preparation and testimony! The guy yesterday said he's getting $60,000 for his testimony.
Alex squatted into the shooting position 4 the shot 2 b upwards! He was standing 4 the shot n the dog house from the shoulder He moves quickly as he does when hunting moving targets!!!!!!!!! Case closed!!!!!!
"Tempting", as he points the gun at the prosecution? In a trial where his client may have shot his wife and son? What an idiot! You can bet the jurors talked about that, and it doesn't bode well for his client.
I’m so disgusted by this whole trial. I pray for the souls of maggie and Paul and if they get justice. Also, as an animal lover, the way they treated their animals and hunted is disgusting and disgraceful, but God will get them.
Dawn, I feel exactly the same. The poor dogs. Poor Maggie and Paul . Alex had this done ,I think and that's where the money went to. Putting up a reward was just to make it look like he was trying to find the killers when he knew full well who "they" were. If you really were innocent and Really wanted who ever found try 500,000 or More. He did it with help or had it done by one person
FINALLY! After reading so many comments here in the last few weeks, someone finally brings up the treatment and condition of the dogs! Can’t imagine them there all by themselves during a thunder ⛈️ and lightning ⚡️ storm! wtf
Of course it’s plausible that there may have been two killers but with all the overwhelming evidence that theory is disproven, so Alex was the only one.
I still say he didn't do it.I believe somebody from the boating accident seeked revenge on Paul because of the girl dying in the boating accident.I believe they shot Paul and his mother had to be shot because she was a witness.
This expert is putting doubt that Alex was the shooter. According to his trigonometry expertise, the shooter of Maggie was most likely 5ft 2 to 5Ft 4. Most unlikely 6ft 4 , the height of Alex. As far as the sound testing that is only valid if Alex was indeed in the main house during the shooting..
Clearly the engineer presented 3 hard facts there prosecutor didn't want in evidence, as evidenced by their amount of blistering. The lawyer who cross examined the expert had a major temper tantrum that was distracting (exactly what he wanted to do) but did not actually discredit the expert witness. I'm left wondering if Alex hired someone to shot them, though there's still no clear motive.
"Forensic engineer" sounds like a made-up title for a guy who decides to market himself as a professional witness. Why is he going into the backgrounds of the people he "worked with??" Their credentials don't boost his own. And saying you "work with" someone can mean you were a file clerk in the office (to make the point). He's giving a lot of FLUFF to make his resume sound more substantial. He "deals with" ballistics - he's "worked on cases'" he's "worked with the police," these are really such vague assertions as to be meaningless. The attorney started his question with "were you qualified...in a court..." And then morphs into "did you testify?" I'm surprised the prosecution team hasn't put up more resistance to him. Tell me what you are degreed or certified in to qualify as an expert in such matters.... (although I have to admit he seems to understand the science)
He only increased his speed for a minute because he just threw Maggie's phone out and he high-tailed his ass away from the immediate area/crime scene and then drove normal /regular speed the rest of the way.
So he left around noon for his office, he had more then enough time to place weapons close by and everything ready to go. What is sad about this is if he gets away with this is there a deal they are working on to wiggle out of the money stealing?
The defense is going to have tell a different story.. but Why didn't he use a 6'4" example of the guy instead of 5'2"?? and was the ground level in that area?
@sugarsmacks12 so your theory is he shot from the hip to hit paul, waited for paul to stumble out the door and shoot him again while squating on the ground, then run up point blank to maggie dropping to one knee and shoot her?
Most important question period: This is a popular Southern Trial with colorful characters - why is no one referring to the two 5’-2” shooters as “the two yoots??” It would be hilarious, and more than appropriate. 😂
The comments here are amazing in a negative way. When the prosecution uses specialist to try and incriminate A Murdaugh, you all are all for it as sound explanation. When this defense wittness uses real math, some think he was paid off. There was one comment that was reasonable. Was someone sitting in the golfcart or another small vehicle? Was there gunpowder on the cart, or blood spatter? The most you could hope for is a mistrial in order to find two gunmen or a jury that has already made a decision of guilt before the end of the trial. Shooters would have been hired somebody. Who hired them?
Two midget riflemen. I don't buy the trajectory of this "expert". Could have easily hit a bone and deflected. Or been kneeled down by the side by side. Also, he takes one of the nine buck shots and draws a line. But when they placed a diagram of the window, that shot was at the top. Most were about 18" down showing a much different angle from the "expert". I hope the prosecution picks up on that.
Appropriately, he makes sure to put a lot of "maybes" in his testimony, because expert testimony and opinion of all different kinds in court cases can be so full of holes like Swiss cheese. getting it to apply specifically -in many cases, is something most of them don't even try to attempt. it simply adds to the wash. the jury can fold it in, or hang it out to dry. ❓✉ for 🎉🥂 or ⛓🔐
There is a serious flaw in this forensic engineer's judgement since he fails to consider that the shooter could have been kneeling on one knee. He only states a standing or prostrate position.

I found this fellow very credible.
The prosecution cross was completely unable to budge him.
Ah yes, because the prosecution is completely innocent 😂
@@bfg1836 Perhaps two guns were planned to be used by AM, remember he is a hunter, the shotgun was used for the more formidable victim at close range in the event there is a struggle. Then knowing his wife may run after he kills his son, he uses the rifle for a longer distant kill shot if necessary.
The two considerations are the fact there were two guns and the kind of guns they were. Any shooter working for a cartel would have used a specialized weapon that would have facilitated a smooth execution of the crime. BtwAll expert witnesses use the phrase “In my opinion”
What if the shooter is in a kneeling position. A common shooting position.

He was duck walking.
Alex's Murdaugh had many different guns so it would not surprise me he used different gun's to make it look like there was 2 shooter's. But I believe he just switched guns to make it look like 2 shooter's. So not buying that. Paul was killed 1st then Maggie was chased down.
Plus the shotgun held two shots and he just picked up another loaded gun since he used both rounds on Paul.

Yes & AM even said whoever did it planned it for awhile! He was talking about himself!
Are you an actual detective?
I think he put the guns in an Alameda shed where hecparked away from the house.

Let's talk timeline. Paul's phone locks at 849, Alex leaves w his truck at 906, from the house 1/3 of a mile away.

Uhh…yes they did. Hence the very intelligent GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES verdict.
How can ANYONE OF AT LEAST NORMAL INTELLIGENCE have any doubt???
Forensic engineering is the investigation of structural failures and damage. It has nothing to do with crime scene reconstruction and analysis, which is very specialized training and education. There seems to be a question of what crime scene reconstruction and analysis this expert has. However, since he's been qualified in court as a shooting incidence reconstruction, he's an expert. However, unless he's conducted actual experiments involving tossing smartphones from moving vehicles and studying their motion after they hit the ground consisting of various surfaces, he's speculating regarding how far the smartphone travels before stopping.
This family is the real life version of something like Breaking Bad or Ozark’s. The blows just keep coming one after another.
Physics are a part of an investigation, not the only part if an investigation. I'm not buying into anything that was testified today. It's a weak defense so far, IMO.

Those bullets are massive. I cannot imagine being hit with one of those. I think Paul lunged forward to try & grab that gun from his father. This monster deserves to forgo the death penalty & go straight to hell where he belongs.
Is it possible that people not knowing how to properly handle this kind of gun could sustain bruising?
This defense attorney drives me crazy with his “duh, I don’t understand anything , show me “ pretense, when it’s quite clear shooter was on the golf cart…. GOD LEFT THAT CLUE ON MAGGIE’S LEG
lol@God... such idiocy!
@@lorivanderhaden2851 God is real!
Prosecutors are not proving beyond a reasonable doubt though and that’s their job
Monkey see monkey do
Wow!!! Apparently you hate this family.
Are you jealous they are wealthy?
Do not hate people because they are well off. Instead hate sin, and hating others is a sin.
@roseannahall265
dont forget they are being taught to kill animals from a very young age. Getting them guns for christmas!
When Buster talked about the guns in the house ("lots") I thought is that an army camp? Seeing animals
blessed, running for their life and all that blood, must do something to the brain of a child!
13:00
Oh my goodness what a bunch of bumbling begins
A taller killer could be sitting in a side-by-side ATV cart which would make the trajectory lower and also low one to have two guns at one time. AM’s not off the hook!
Or leaning across it, using it to stabilize his shots.
If Alex did not commit the crime of murder, he had to of had a part in it. Why, because he called her and son back to Moselle on pretense. My opinion.
The lead defense attorney pointing a gun at the prosecution table and saying "tempting"
Holy hell.. how was he not reprimanded for that?
It's been driving me crazy no one has even mentioned this!! Not even in the comments that I've seen until I came across yours! Lol
Two killers…says Alex’s “expert” witness. Probably why he used two guns.
Why else would Alex lie and say he never went down to see his wife and son before he left to go see his mother?????Don’t have to be an expert to know why
Especially since he convinced Maggie to come to Mozelle so they could visit his Dad in the hospital. -C
@@matthewkulp4913 Yes, there are just too many red flags. This is not innocent behavior in the least.
Those Karen’s don’t believe it
To be quite honest, the whole family's corrupt. The victims are his clients. The people who he exploited. His family reaped all those rewards. All of them.
It's the same shooter just changing position and changing ammo to confuse the scene of the investigation.
Like U said MOVING FAST!!!!!!
This guy isn’t even qualified to make statements. He’s giving a opinion with unrealistic facts
Your talking to a jury that will think this is a bunch of bull
1:35:36 if they bring in pictures like this (no hearing protectors on) I doubt their conclusions. This man's story is only to sow confusion. "Just to bring in more pictures of the testing" How much money does he get from Alex Murdough..... 🤔
He hold a plastic or paper bag around the ejection port to catch the empty shell casings. Then he walked closer and planted them to throw the investigation off. He know police forensic techniques.
This guy sounds like how the workers comp insurance paid a doctor to evaluate me and he wrote the nastiest evaluation about me 🤢
I think Judge Newman's chair squeaking is off the rector ⚖️...1000 decibels!! 😆
I like how he explains this as if bullet trajectory after passing through body parts has zero deflection
what about the shooter kneeling, or sitting on a golf cart..
Bullets do weird things when they hit anything
I feel like it’s important to remember that just because someone is a liar that doesn’t make them a murderer. Is it shady, absolutely. Is it guaranteed that he kill them folks, no. Let the process take its course
Did they pull any prints from the shell casings? I haven't heard anything...
And you hear the officer's speculation about it was because of the boat accident and possibly revenge!
I think its not the dishonesty itself but the motive of money.
Like those childten about to turn 18.
As happened, one theft revealed would release all of the other thefts from hiding.
Exactly. So many people are so sure just because it looks EXTREMELY shady. I get it, it is shady, but that doesn't mean he shot them.
That guy is a paid witness with no credibility or credentials to prove his theory
I know one thing if my mom and brother were killed I would be crying my eyes up there on the stand this case has confused me from day one
1:15:39
Where was the extra strange Brother when this happened?
Looks fancy, I’m not buying it. If Alec didn’t personally kill half his family he had them killed
wouldnt wind effect the audio acoustics??
He has great depth into the physics of the interaction of spheres. Complicated but fascinating.!!!!!!!!
"Spheres"? What spheres?
Standing for one victim, on bended knee for the other.
What amazes me is how readily our justice system accepts people as experts. I say I am an expert in a non-validated field, therefore I am.
This guy is a littke boy showing off his computer program. Tape measure did exactly the same thing !
They are "experts" at confusing a jury. And they get paid about $10,000an hour for their preparation and testimony! The guy yesterday said he's getting $60,000 for his testimony.
Sort of like subjective tool markings on mass produced guns by government flunkies.
@@SS11660 $10,000 an hour. 🤣 shows how much you pay attention.
I think todays term for that is “I identify as” 🤦♀️ crazy how society is being led to believe they can identify as someone they clearly aren’t
I found this guy extremely credible and knowledgeable in his field!
How do they know? All of these bullet holes are recent ?
Does not that attorney look like AL Capon holding a machine gun. Lol
Why is the defense spending so much time/testimony of gun shoots movement in which the jury already wonders why Alex would shoot his family dead
Yeah that one got my attention I'll tell you
I’m so disgusted by this whole trial.
Those poor hogs, I hope they finished them off immediately.
FINALLY! After reading so many comments here in the last few weeks, someone finally brings up the treatment and condition of the dogs! Can’t imagine them there all by themselves during a thunder ⛈️ and lightning ⚡️ storm! wtf
Paul shot anything that moved so live by the gun as they say ,he was a spoiled boy in my opinion sad as it all is ,Maggie was the sad outcome.
Same here. It’s a grotesque way of life.
That's what I said too... Does it matter what the decibels are, or whether he could hear it in the house, if he was Not in the house? -C
Alec is on the scene as caught in the video.
Mechanical engineers should stick w/building collapses, far from an expert regarding damage done to a human body.
He only increased his speed for a minute because he just threw Maggie's phone out and he high-tailed his ass away from the immediate area/crime scene and then drove normal /regular speed the rest of the way.
He was paid.
So he left around noon for his office, he had more then enough time to place weapons close by and everything ready to go. What is sad about this is if he gets away with this is there a deal they are working on to wiggle out of the money stealing?
Thank you for embarrassing all former Wolfpack. WE DO NOT CLAIM THIS MAN.
The defense is going to have tell a different story.. but Why didn't he use a 6'4" example of the guy instead of 5'2"?? and was the ground level in that area?
Because where the shells were found near Maggie
Could not have been anyone 6’3 or 6’4
@sugarsmacks12 so your theory is he shot from the hip to hit paul, waited for paul to stumble out the door and shoot him again while squating on the ground, then run up point blank to maggie dropping to one knee and shoot her?
Most important question period: This is a popular Southern Trial with colorful characters - why is no one referring to the two 5’-2” shooters as “the two yoots??” It would be hilarious, and more than appropriate. 😂
Just like in the Kohberger case I find it SO difficult to believe these two "law men" could make so many stupid mistakes when committing their crime.
What men?
Why didn’t the testimony of this expert help save Alex Murdaugh from his being found guilty !
Buster and Alex are the Killers.
This guy was paid big bucks to develop this nutty stuff...
❓✉ for 🎉🥂 or ⛓🔐
Alex hired a dumb Attorney. This guy doesn’t sound like a seasoned attorney. He doesn’t understand what his own witnesses are saying
Whoever 👀👀 the shooter was.... wanted to get close to the victims, victims had pissed the shooter off badly!, very personal.
57:00 This trigonometry lacks a victim correlation. Looks like the killer killed the dog house.
Is it possible this is the only travesty he did not commit????????
There is a serious flaw in this forensic engineer's judgement since he fails to consider that the shooter could have been kneeling on one knee. He only states a standing or prostrate position.
