Thanks for the informative video! Was looking into renting a vehicle for the weekend and i just heard about this service. Seems pretty easy and convenient to use.
I’ve used getaround and every time it was inspection, you gotta look closer any fading paint or even little scratches, dents , even if the car has damage to hub caps. Picture picture picture lol . I took pictures inside of there was a mess . And #1 was checking if last person left car with no gas. I haven’t tried Turo but pretty sure is the same .
Hello, I really enjoyed your video, and I wanted to thank you for sharing. I'm planning on renting an expensive car, and your video was incredibly helpful. Thank you!
A year later, just wanted to confirm if you still or ever need to take a picture of your license during the check in process. Some videos showed they did and others didn’t so I’m just confused.
TBH I haven't rented from them in a couple of years now. I should make an update video soon. I do wonder why this question gets brought up so often? 🤔 Are people afraid to share the DL ? Are the people driving not the people they say they are? 🤔 Just curious 🧐
What is to stop someone looking up a car on Turo Go breaking in and getting keys out of glove box to steal the car? Does the Turo electronics stop it driving?
Good question! One thing I noticed is that the app needed acknowledgment that I was in the car. ie: I was trying to start a car from Turo on once while my phone was not with me and the car refused to start. The key left in the car is not an original key. In other words both the app and key are needed.
Thank you this is my first time renting from Turo and I seen it said uses self check in with Turo go! Sounds like it should be super smooth and quick !
Should be no problem. I recall seeing a video of someone picking up a Turo car from an airport. You should look it up in case there is something extra needed from picking up from an airport. For example like if it parked in a paid parking lot or something like that.
If I rent a car from Turo that is check in with a lockbox n have it delivered to the airport for pickup do I have to show anyone at the airport my ID to access the car rental location? Or do I just walk into the garage n unlock the car with the code on the app?
I have two questions....1- Do you have to have the app running the whole time you're driving the car? I don't have unlimited data on my phone is why I ask that. 2- Can you drive the car from state to state or is it just the state you pick it up in? Thank you for the video and I really appreciate your time!
@@joannaaloveeitis5977 it depends on the owner/ host I would ask them every host has their own rules! Usually they’ll list it in the description but if not it’s best to ask before anything.

It depends on the renter.. technically you may need to put a deposit, otherwise they automatically charge you at the end and then you may see more charges for things like bridge toll.

My understanding is you can use an international license, but if that document does not have a photo, you will also have to upload a government issued ID that contains a photo.
In most cases the car is delivered to you directly when you arrive. There have been some cases i've seen where they leave a parking pass with the car for you.
