Yoga is a mind and body practice with historical origins in ancient Indian philosophy. Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation.
Yoga has become popular as a form of physical exercise based upon asanas (physical poses) to promote improved control of mind and body and to enhance well-being.
The word "yoga" is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj meaning join together." Some people take this to mean a union of mind and body.
There are many styles of yoga. A person's fitness level and desired practice outcome determines the type of yoga class to which they are best suited.
Sukshma Vyayama - An introduction
This group of Asanas is concerned with loosening up the joints of the body. It eliminates energy blockages in the joints and outer extremities of the physical body and works on the Pranic and the mental level as well.
It is beneficial for those suffering from rheumatism, arthritis , high blood pressure or other ailments where vigorous exercise is not advised.This aasanas increase blood circulation and give relief from pain in our body.
Saurabh Kumar is a well known yoga teacher who has done master in Yoga, teaching from many years.Here he showed those aasanas which are very easy to do for all age groups.
