    I’ve been using the 12.9 inch iPad Pro for 2 years in medical school and here are my tips
    - get the bigger one, it’s the size of an A4 paper and doesn’t feel big (I use to have a smaller 9.7 inch iPad Pro but it’s just not the same as studying on a bigger device)
    - notability is FAR better than any other note taking app; I’ve tried most of them including OneNote, good notes, Evernote etc.
    - get a matte screen protector such as paper-like, it provides more friction so writing on the iPad feels like writing on paper
    - always, ALWAYS get the bigger storage. You might think you don’t need it, but you will

    This is the only iPad Pro review that actually helped me decide on buying it. All the big youtubers review the tablet as if everyone is a graphic designer or video editor. "Get the 12.9in version because it's better for drawing professional designs" etc. 95% of people aren't going to be doing that, nor do we care that you can't get Final Cut Pro or Adobe Photoshop.
    Thanks for focusing on practical tools that will actually help college students. Your review is a lot more relatable and helpful than Unbox Therapy and those other tech reviewers. I think I'll subscribe

    Im currently on my second semester with my ipad pro. Love it. Best $900 spent, aside from my mac.
    Some advice:
    Get the 64g bc in reality everything is in cloud storage and you really wont need more.
    I think notability is better bc you can record the lectures and what you write will correlate to the audio. As a Biology major its super helpful since my professors go super fast.
    It lowers my book spending, since I can often find pdfs of the books I need that I can upload to one drive or notability.
    I have never been more organized in my life, I literally carry the ipad and a folder in my bag, and sometimes my laptop.
    In conclusion, if you have been thinking about it, just bite the bullet. If you buy it during the summer you get the apple for education discount, which can save you $100 and get you free powerbeats.

    Hi, I’m a student in Year 10 in Australia. I got the iPad just before I started this school term and walked into class with it the first day. At first, I was a bit apprehensive but now I realise that it’s so easy to use and has become an everyday need for me. I was watching you video and listening to everything you were saying. I literally said “Oh my gosh, I did that the other day.” with all of your examples. I use notability as well and I honestly don’t think I would use any other app for note-taking. I’ve only been using this in school for two weeks but it feels like I’ve had it for two years. I’ve gotten so used to it and I honestly love it so much. Have a great day and keep on making awesome reviews. Xx

The bigger screen I think is the best to choose from, but it truly comes down to preference bc ppl do see it as too big. I hated taking notes in spiral books and carrying all these different highlighters and pens. With the iPad Pro it’s changed my outlook on taking notes and I actually somewhat enjoy it! • @adamw2785
      @adamw2785 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Areyan The purpose of the paperlike has nothing to do with screen protection or glare reduction, which is what a matte screen protector is for. Paperlike feels very different, because it's only purpose is to simulate the feel of paper. A regular matte screen protector doesn't do the same, because it wasn't designed for that.

      @@DieFarbeLila88 I do wish that we can snip stuff from the website instead of taking a screenshot. I used to have a Samsung Tablet. It has that feature. I just use tablets for media consumption. I can never do work on an iPad or Android Tablet. There are too many distractions. Using iPad or Android Tablet is just a fun device. I just can't do work while having fun. To me, it is like doing work on a Nintendo Switch, Wii U, or Wii. I will stick to a netbook. And a netbook is so cheap you can buy a new netbook for each year of college or use the same iPad for all years of college. It makes no sense to use an iPad just to take notes. I find it easier to write on paper, and use Scanner Pro to snapshot my notes and view it on a tablet. I love Scanner Pro! You should definitely use it. I also have Notability. I never use Notability, but I use Scanner Pro every week for document scanning because my flatbed scanner is much more cumbersome. I got both of these apps for free during the Free App of the Week several years ago. I miss the Free App of the Week showcase. Good times.

      In the past I would agree with you. And these is some research that learning is better when handwritten vs typing ..the problem now is that lots of professor rely on power point presentation to cram as much notes as possible having a tablet makes it very easy to quickly mark up the slides on critical notes. Plus the time saving from capturing each page in perfect light means more time to .... also saving your back of carrying all your textbook is a life saver (vs wheeling around school bag). Last important note, it can be auto back up. Meaning your notes can be referenced anywhere with almost any device. So no more stolen device/crashed device/missing notebook problem. Add with long term battery life(unless playing games) mean you don’t need to bring a power supply. Now the whole distraction thing ...it something that this generation will learn to deal with...if it’s not their tablet it their phones etc.
