Yes it'll work, the only major difference between 05-06 kit and an 04' is the solenoid block. Just be sure to specify the year when ordering and we will be sure to get you the right one.
I see listings for a 99-04 rebuild kit, and an 05-06 kit. I have an '07. Do you offer anything for these transmissions? Do they require a different kit? I am building a high compression 397ci stroker with a custom grind cam, eagle heads, magnum intake, long tube headers, MDS and EGR delete, etc. I plan on making 500+ horsepower and more torque. What can I do to make my 545rfe live at those power levels in a ram 1500 4x4 with 35x12.50 tires?
I am sure they can assist you and get the kit you need for your application please reach out to Monster Transmissions 800-708-0087 and hit sales to get this kit built for you. Thank you for choosing Monster Transmissions.
@@stunnasam21 the 5.9 has a different transmission that only has 4 speeds. 46re I think. The 4.7 has the 45rfe that you can change out the tcm to get the 545rfe.
@@stunnasam21 I have a 2002 Jeep KJ. Came with the 45rfe, which is basically the same as the 545rfe. I swapped in a TCM from a 545rfe equipped Jeep Grand Cherokee, gained a 5 gear ratio that engages around 50 mph. Reduces rpm by about 200.
What type of scanner is needed one any auto repair shop would have or does it have to be a special scanner that transmission repair shops have?
Will this kit work for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ) with the 4.7 Engine?

It sounds like you're having planetary failure.

Any way to convert my 2000 durango 5.9 with a 4 speed into a 5 speed?
Only way to convert to a 5 speed on a Mopar would be to find a different car to take the drive train out and put it in that Durango.
Monster Transmission I've seen guys swap out there TCM in their 01 and 02 Durangos with the 4.7 from a Grand Cherokee, boom...5 speed
