Well confortable 110 km/h cruise is enought for me on hightway. its just around 20 mn on 200 km trip between 110-130. Whatever i have enough time to avoid highway
@@RRRRefuelRideRace You can always try. If there is a Benelli dealer nearby. But I am not that charmed of Benelli bikes. The TNT 125 is fun, the rest up till now is 'meh'.
15t front sprocket, dna air filter with a bigger wind screen and a top box (im also quite a bit heavier than the avg rider), i reached 162km at 8.5k, with enough space (or lighter rider/stockwindscreen/ no top box) it could theoretically reach 170 at the red line small difference, just putting out there my own experience with the bike
As was pointed out, they can widen the ratios, they are for certain keeping an eye on consumer concerns and criticism. With most bikes in this class you would not do a top end or bottom end for many many kilometers if ever so changing drive gears is your option. In my area and lots of Northern Baja and Southern California and Arizona, average safe ,blend w traffic highway speed is @82-85mph min. You can drive in slow traffic lanes but that has a different set of problems for extended highway travel.. they will have to make last 2 gears taller and for off road it's never an issue because almost nobody ever is riding in 5,6th gear off road wide open.. this bike is a wake up call to other Japanese makers who can do a medium sized twin, light frame from existing motorcross platform and tubeless, some electronics, don't know if Honda already crashed itself, why buy a 500, when Transalp is not much more anything, heavy, expensive than 500 and more capable.Suzuki and Kawasaki are absolutely asleep
I would love to see a 90s dual sport based on this. I think I would be buying it. I still miss my Suzuki DR650SE and 2nd hand they are so expensive. But a new 'CFMOTO 450 X' that looks like a Suzuki DRZ 400, I would most probably buy that. This 450 MT has better wind protection and I would like to feel more wind to cool off during hot days. Or remove the wind screen, if that is possible.
Hello. What is the steady comfortable top speed for highway (without the bike shaking)? Can it do 110 - 120km/hr comfortably on the highway? What is the fuel consumption you get from road/highway use?
110-120 km/h is fine. And if it would not be fine, you can change the front sprocket from 14 teeth to 15 teeth so it runs those speeds at a lower rpm. It will pull a bit slower though. Fuel consumption I don't know. I was able to ride it for 30 minutes only. Another customer was comingto ride it so I just warmed her up. 😁
Wow, this bike is geared very short. Rev limiter in 6th at 160. Would be quite annoying on faster roads, having to shift so often but in the dirt it´s probably great.
Yup. Short geared. Best for in the dirt, not on the streets. But still, pretty nice bike for street riding. If you want to speed with 450cc, you can try the CFMOTO 450 SR. :)
wow you dont have understand for what this bike was intended.....not Route 66 not Mugello😂 but offroad easy and hard ( there are video that it climb so good) and all road that you dont need 160-200kmh
Yup, fast enough for an allroad bike. Top speed is the least important. Yet it is nice to know it can handle itself well on the highway. You can still tour with t his bike but just at a bit lower speed. And most fun are the urban roads, not the highways.
Pela proposta da motoca esta otimo o limitador de fabrica corta os giros mais altos mesmo o porque é uma aventureira e nao uma racing agora o mesmo motor esta na sr 450 deslimitado 😊
@@MotoSnax I'll wait for someone else to experiment with gearing ratios further than just swapping the 14t to a 15t front sprocket. My Versys x300 has a 15T on the front and a 45T on the rear, originally she comes with 14-46 in Latin America, and by using 15-45 there is a quirk that i found, if i am going uphill and keep any gear besides 6th for too long while the bike is revving a bit high, I'll get a speedometer error and the bike will refuse to display a speed and gear reading, since the sensor is trying to guess why the speed doesn't correspond to the gear at those revs under the regular parameters, it will not happen on 6th grar because i guess it just doesn't care. But if i use 4th gear and don't shift to 3rd or 5th in like 20 seconds at high revs, the speedometer will fail and it'll take a few sessions of regular use for the error to self correct. It doesn't really bother me except for the fact that i can't turn the bike on while it's in gear unless i set it to neutral first ( even with the clutch fully pressed)
It feels like it can go much faster. I didn't feel insecure at that speed. I was amazed I was already there. The bike feels really stable at these speeds, but I do understand they want more torque and less top speed to be better in the dirt.
Wasn't able to try it out that much but I guess it will do slow speed in higher gears as it does quite some rpms at relative low speeds. But it is a single cylinder bike, so it prefers a certain gear at a certain speed.
Faster than 500x ? I don’t think so. 2019+ is much faster than older ones because different ECU settings. My 2022 do 170kph with stock 15t, but with 16t it does few kph more. 180° crank have little bit more power at high RPMs, this Chinese can be just little bit faster from bottom end I think
C est juste bien de le savoir car avec ce genre de moto ce n'est pas important la vitesse de pointe, elle n'est pas faite pour l'autoroute mais les petites routes de campagne et chemins.
That would be no problem but if you like riding faster, you might want to change the front sprocket size so it will do 130 km/h at a lower rpm thus making the ride more comfortable. Only downside it that it would pull a bit slower but not too bad.
I think it is 14 tooth stock. The manual doesn't say, but this video show you that it has 14 teeth and tries what it does with 15. With a 15 it should run with lower rpms overall. If you ride it more on the road than offroad, 15t might be better. th-cam.com/video/EKj0TbV5jIk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kTRmSMdhAqDTFUm0
It is limited to 160 km/h to pull as fast as it can in the dirt. Change the sprockets and it will go faster. Yes, the exhaust note is amazing. Especially when running idle and low rpms.
The DSX is more street-oriented than the 450 MT. Next to that it has 45 cc extra. That is 10% extra. The top speed videos I've seen were 188-190 km/h. Haven't found one that did 200 km/h. Next to that I want to know the GPS speed of Voge. I already know the 450 MT does 154-155 km/h on GPS. Also, if you change sprockets, the 450 MT can be faster. But will be less powerful in the dirt.
