      There are different styles of preaching depending on the culture you are in around the world.
      In some countries if you speak too quietly you're not taken as seriously...
      In other countries you are too loud, you are seen as slightly disturbing and unsettling...its just a cultural thing

    This just shows you how the orientalist black-white perception of islam resonates perfectly with the modern extreme salafi worldview

    • @lionelchan1601
      @lionelchan1601 6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      The worldview has a lot of support. Some of it is "well intentioned", but I doubt very much if some of it is not also encouraged by Islam's enemies, using Salafi "patsies", in terms of physical acts but also "intellectual terrorism" too. The best way to destroy the Ummah is from within.
      Ahamduliliah, and more power to Shaykh Murad in his scholarly defence of the Deen.

      It looks to me like many people don't understand that Ibn Taymiyya was attempting to purify the genuine discipline of tasawwuf from charlatans on one hand and dangerous blasphemers on the other (he points out al-Hallaj specifically).
      It's like in my Christian tradition if someone attacks the heretical esotericism of the Taborites or Cathars, it doesn't mean that they oppose cultivating mystical experiences completely.

    Sufism started with Hassan Basri whose mother was a maid in the house of Ehlul Bait عليهم الصلاة و السلام. And Imam Ali عليه الصلاة و السلام compared Hassan as the Samri of this ummat ! After more than a century appeared Ma'rouf Karkhi, a Christian who left his parents' house at the age of 12 joining the service of Imam Ali Al Rida عليه الصلاة و السلاو, the grandson of Imam Ja'far Al Sadiq عليه الصلاة و السلام ! After 15 years of service he fled due to oppression of the Abbassid caliph on Ehlul Bait عليهم الصلاة و السلام . He used the same method of Ehlul Bait عليهم الصلاة و السلام , but slightly changed the main DETAILs, hence sufism fell into perdition ! Note that Imam Ja'far عليه الصلاة و السلام was asked about the new sect, He replied : SUFIS ARE OUR ENEMIES ! As for Ibn Taymiya لعنة الله عليه , he was a Nasibi, due to his studies under the Jewish rabbis. Wahhabis, today not knowing, have grown hate for Imam Ali عليه الصلاة و السلام. Jews hate Imam Ali عليه الصلاة و السلام because the latter killed their champion at Khaibar !

      You claim to like Tasawwuf and then get caught up in the 'ambiguous' etymology of it. It's very ironic, no offence to you. Also, tazkiyyah al nafs is only one part of tasawwuf. Zuhd, faqr, sidq, dhikkr and many other disciplines make up the part of the saalik, the one who walks this path.

Do not be a blind follower. Ask Allah to open your heart to the haqq because indeed he is the one who answers the call of the slave. Be careful of the plot of the westerners to bring divide between the ahl sunnah, destroying us from within. This is the plot of the company of dajjal. Let us focus our efforts on treading the straight path rather than bad mouthing scholars. How will you react when those same people pass the sirat like the wind?
