It is just a thought that you can earn 1500 rupees per hour as a psychologist. Because if you earn Rs 1500 per hour you will be richer than Ambani. Not only you but all psychologists in the world would be rich. Because if 1500 rupees for one hour becomes 36000 rupees for 24 hours. And 1,080,000 rupees a month is made

Coming from a psychology background , I have to add something. You don't have to compulsorily need a PhD to be a psychologist. You have to attain a bachelor's in psychology and then a master's in Psychology. Once you have both of these you are termed as a "Consultant/counselling psychologist". This can be attained through various specializations too at the masters level which can be Applied psychology, counselling psychology, clinical psychology, organizational psychology and many more. Afterwards if you want to start a clinic of your own or if you want to be a licenced Psychologist with an RCI recognition, termed as "Clinical psychologist" you have to take a MPhil. At this point you will be a clinical psychologist. Taking a PhD is an option if someone who has completed psychology masters/MPhil if he/she/they wants to go to the research centric field and not interested in much of a clinical /therapy exposure , which completely depends upon the individual.
One more thing she said was that if you have 9 years of experience you can change up to 1500 per session. And if you are not affordable to take therapy for yourself you can take up a psychology course. Ohh yes ! People who have had downfalls or have been in the worst phase have taken psychology courses and have done wonders to them. But at some point , a therapist has to see another therapist sometimes. Everything is fine up to a certain threshold . Taking a psychology course will help you know more about yourself. Making therapies more accessible will also do wonders in this case.

More detail from someone who's from psych - In order to be a psychologist in India you need minimum of a master's degree. For clinical psychology, you will need to have a license to practice which is issues by RCI through your mphil degree only. For other fields there is no licensing in India, but a masters is compulsory and practice under supervision of a professional is a good way to develop your skills to actually start out as a fresher. Interning is a good option as well, but look out because there's a lot of scams in the field in the name of "internship".
There are many aspects within the field such as specializations in clinical, counselling, Industrial-Organisational (I/O), educational psychology being some of the prominent ones. Although finding courses for Masters in some of these fields is really hard in India. There are good options for clinical and counselling though, but there's scarcity of seats in govt organizations. At UG level, there are no specialization courses. Only B.A. / Bsc psychology/applied psychology. This is necessary to build a base. If you didn't have psychology in high school it's absolutely fine you can still join the course. Basic material is usually always covered again you won't feel left out, especially in private universities. I didn't have psychology in my +2 and not everyone in my class had a psych background.
Research is a big big aspect in the field as well, not much talked about on social media but there are positions for research assistantships. If you are interested in positions of Assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) then sit for the NET exam after masters.
    Scope is good abroad.

Though it is not formally mentioned anywhere as till now only Clinical Psychologist are formally defined in India, one can call oneself "Psychologist" after successfully completing Masters. However, in western countries people do recommend using the name after completing PhD. This is mostly defined by the well established National governing bodies which is currently not well established in India.

For all those who think a psychiatrist charging rs 1500 per 1 hour cant be true: A physician charges 600 rs per patient and he sees 5 to 6 patients in 1 hour. So thats around 3000 rs per hour. Plus he recommends various tests for his patients. A certain portion of the fees for those tests goes to the physician. So a very busy physician still makes more money than a very busy psychiatrist.
