Ashley being racist or "speciest" or w/e you wanna call it, is rooted in her upbringing with her military father. I kinda get it, and it's one of her flaws. So, regarding companions not talking to each other much, they actually have a lot of interactions on the citadel elevators. In the original version of the games, you couldn't skip the elevator segments because they served as loading screens for the next area, so they put those conversations there to make the wait more entertaining. Unfortunately, it looks like rng kind of screwed you over and gave you those radio broadcasts instead. Even so, the game gets better about giving squad interactions in the sequels.
*You are not Saren *Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh, you touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding. *Theres a realm of existence so far beyond your own you cannot even imagine it. Before us you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything. *Confidence born of ignorance, the cycle cannot be broken *The patern has repeated itself more times than you can fathom. 1:53:00 regarding divergence - Logical point of view on this. And chances of finding the exception to this would be so rare to stumble on, astronomically rare for a streamer really, but when the trilogy is completed it might be entertaining to google just how far off the rails it will allow you to go without hitting a "Critical Mission Failure" reload screen.
Geth are not the most difficult enemy in the game. Thats why i barely use Tali at all. She is C-tier at best , being a niche pick to clear Luna-Base and the Armstrong Cluster. On insanity, Tank and Biotics are king. Kaiden is a more versatile choice to cover tech-skills than Tali and Garrus (F-tier)
The Bring Down the Sky DLC (Investigate Asteroid X-57) has a significant impact later on, so I hope you don't skip it. In Mass Effect, a lot of side content can have an effect later in the series, from a thank you note from someone you saved to a significant change in a major mission. You never know.
before you embark on Ilos, you should do at least Asteroid DLC I'm not sure what it is called precisely but you'll see it it is good sidequest that is much longer than usual quests and also at least partially in unique setting
@@KingdomAce no problem It is one of the three, I believe DLC for ME1 but only two are included in Legendary Edition as there was some issues that made it impossible to recover or something. Problem with ME1 is that once you finish last mission, you can't go back so you would miss out on it. It is not all that different from rest of the game, but it is definitely much better than your run-of-the-mill sidequest
the genophage doesnt kill krogan adults it mostly effects the fertility of the females causing stillborn births and miscarriages, but successful births do happen. the goal of the genophage was to reduces the birthrate among krogans because they bred and matured much faster than other species. if the genophage was cured the birthrate would increase by 1000 times what it is with the genophage. making the krogan race stronger by sheer numbers and could possibly lead to krogan expansion and subsequent wars, especially because war and violence is a part of the krogans nature and culture.
Yeah, WAY more accurate so even with SLIGHTLY less damage, every shot is gonna hit. Same with the sniper, although I think the sniper he has now is better.
The Spectre Gear weapons are amongst the best of their tier, but those are rank VII weapons being compared to rank IX weapons. There are, eventually, rank X versions of the Spectre Gear guns too, and they're amongst the best weapons in the game, but they're only available at the very highest character levels.
1:21:40 - bro, ngl, i doubt you're gonna get any answers for this because I bet you could count on one hand all the people that found out how to open that door (not the one outside but the one you opened to get into the tunnels in the first place). I have played ME1 numerous times since it first released and I NEVER figured out how to open that door nor have I ever seen these tunnels before. And you did that on your first playthrough LOL
It is so crazy to think about what id would be like trying to communicate with higher intelligence. Even if they were good and tried to help us, I feel like it would be similar to trying to teach nuclear physics to a parrot in English. We hear the words but we just wouldn't understand
36:00 Extremely minor note, but Liara was referring to your *repeated* ability to deal with the krogans. She's very subtle and precise when she speaks, and it doesn't always translate exactly how a human might say something :) Not that that invalidates your overall point! I also kind of headcanoned that for the most part it's a pretty ragtag group that's only slowly coming together and some relationships are stronger than others. Love it about the game too, way too many games just make everybody besties immediately (or unnecessarily continue to drive tension.)
2:01:44 i believe Saren was suppose to have different models over time based off of concept art, he was supposed to look like a Normal Turian in the beginning of the game, with black robes, and then at Virmire, look like how he is right now, more or less. but i guess at the time Bioware couldnt do it.
Just like how Japanese names are Surname-First name, the Krogan have a similar organizing. So you see Urdnot first, but that's actually his surname, while Garrus, Tali and the others all have their first name listed first. So Wrex is actually his first name. Also, you finding his family armor and talking to him on the ship makes Wrex much more pliable to convince. If you hadn't, this conversation on Virmire with him _could_ get a very different twist if your Paragon wasn't already very high, so yes, you were correct in that assessment. It would get as worse as where you get to see dialogue options like "Signal Ashley to shoot Wrex in the back". *Squad synchronization* Yeah, ME1 didn't really have a close-knit group of people. Possibly because there were time constraints, or because they wanted to not alienate the shooter-fanbase that didn't care about the characters as much. But after hearing how everyone, _including_ the shooter-fanbase, wanted more character interactions and closeness, both ME2 and ME3 built upon that majorly that it became almost legendary. Then again, Bioware already had the reputation for doing that much in terms of character development and personality/interaction from their earlier games back in the 90s, like Baldur's Gate. So my assumptions towards time constraint and the shooter-fanbase alienation may be very plausible. *Help the Salarians* Yep, disrupting the communication devices, destroying the flyers and such are all optional targets, but if you find and do them it increases the chance of Kirrahe's teams to survive the mission. One of these things are at 57:10, the red satellite on top of the building. Those things won't get highlighted when you run, so you've missed that one. I don't know why that message was displayed at 1:00:44 because you've missed destroying it at 57:10 . At 57:52 you see the flyers, which also help in keeping the teams alive. If you ignore them, you can actually lose a significant portion of the Salarians, even Kirrahe. *Sewer* You can actually go through the sewers to avoid using the main entrance, but almost nobody knows there's a door there to hack, so most people only discover this once they're inside. It does mean you never get to disable the alarms near the main entrance where Tali did so in the cutscene, so I honestly don't know what consequences that has. I find the regular route more satisfying, so I've never tried it myself.
You are right, if you didn't have your charm up, you wouldn't have been able to talk him down. You would have to put him down, or, if you refuse to pull the trigger Ashley would have... (because of course she would)
TRIANGLE is the target for abilities, not the your weapon square.....the "Predator plasmacaster red aim TRIANGLE" must be LOCKLED on the target and THEN you select ability to hit that targeted enemy.....you were not on this 59:15 you target UNDER the enemy
1:00:40 "Satellite Uplink Disrupted" - Anyone in comments understand what triggered this? We're nowhere near the uplink marked on the map and I didn't actually see any moment where it was disrupted. Without spoilers, is there a moment in the video I missed or something?
poor Kaiden, but for a blind playthrough how would you know, but you gotta choose one after all, i do wonder for how the rest of the playthrough would go for you as you reach the last parts of Mass effect 1. but there is always another playthrough to see that other decision, but idk how ashley is in Mass effect 2 and 3. (also that choice only effects if ashley or kaiden lives or dies, no one else)
...And since I'm talking over here XD - ME3 was already fixed to a better representation of what was intended. You don't need to worry about it in LE. I still have trauma from the original and even I think you can now play it vanilla (and then do another playthrough with a mod if you like.) That's all I'll say about it to avoid any possibility of spoilers!
@KingdomAce btw the reason why that spectre gear was worse is because it was the mark 7 version of those guns, while the ones you were comparing them to were the mark 9 versions
@@jakephocas1396 I can dig that. I've usually been more about single, well timed shots...that or going full lmg bullet hose, depends on the game. Despite playing through the series more than a few times, I've only ever played paragon, even though i always prefered dark side in the kotor games. Maybe I'll do a renegade playthrough and try out the volkov.
@@jakephocas1396 I'm currently in a playthrough now, but it's also paragon. I've always played the ME trilogy as infiltrator, that's what fits my playstyle best, but I'm always biotic in Andromeda. After Virmire, you may want to go do the X-59 Asteroid DLC as well, if you haven't done that one yet. And yes, Quarian armor is pretty rare and the ones you find are pretty average, but that DLC has a good one. It also has a good omni-tool. There aren't many options where you can undertake that DLC after Virmire anymore, so if you progress the story too much it'll become unavailable. I'd hate for you to lose content you might still want to experience.
Kind of sad you got a minor glitch. In the scene showing the Normandy leaving Kaiden and the Nuke going off, its supposed to have a harsh orchestral sting with sad background music as soon as the Nuke goes off, but yours was just playing the default Virmire track, which was just a tad unfitting lol.
ah man, I didnt even know, that sucks. that kinda thing can happen, but I was still pretty impacted by it so at least in the moment I was alright with it!
As long as you manage your expectations about the ending of ME3, I think you'll love it. Personally, I love the ending of ME3, but apparently a lot of people hate it. I think the main reason the ending is so hated by some people is that Mass Effect does a really good job of giving the player the illusion of choice, even though the game is actually very linear. The ending kind of strips away that illusion. For some people that was a big deal.
Here's a tip to address your frequent comments in the last 24 hours, let people play a game how they wanna play! Its okay to miss things when playing, thats what makes the eventual replay more magical! Its not like I'm missing out on anything crazy, maybe some items I already have. And its not like I didnt go and buy specter gear at the end anyways! And I already had millions in my wallet at this point in the game, so who cares if i convert a bunch of crap to omni-gel? Who's it hurting? Definitely not me. Stop letting how people play bug you so much! Its really not that serious! Im not TRYING to collect everything, or even DO everything so if i do miss something, thats okay! Not sure why how someone else plays effects you so much when it doesnt seem to majorly effect anyone else watching. But I hope ya find a different playthrough you can enjoy more than mine!

Unfortunately, it looks like rng kind of screwed you over and gave you those radio broadcasts instead. Even so, the game gets better about giving squad interactions in the sequels.
*You are not Saren
*Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh, you touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
*Theres a realm of existence so far beyond your own you cannot even imagine it. I am beyond your comprehension. I am Sovereign.
*Reaper? a lable created by the Protheans to give voice to their destruction, in the end what they choose to call us is irrelevant. We simply are.
*Organic life is nothing but genetic mutation, an accident. Your lives are measured in years and decades, you wither and die.
We are eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything.
*Confidence born of ignorance, the cycle cannot be broken
*The patern has repeated itself more times than you can fathom. Organic civillizations rise evolve advance and at the apex of their glory, they are extinguished.
The Protheans were not the first. They did not create the Citadel. They did not forge the Mass relays. They merely found them, the legacy of my kind.
*Your civilization is based on the technology of the Mass relays, our technology. By using it your society develops along the paths we desire.
We impose order on the chaos of organic evolution. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.
*My kind transcends your very understanding. We are each a nation, independent, free of all weakness. You cannot even grasp the nature of our existence.
*We have no beginning, we have no end. We are infinite. Millions of years after your civilizations are eradicated and forgotten, we will endure.
*We are legion. The time of our return is coming. Our numbers will darken the sky of every world. You cannot escape your doom.
*Your words are as empty as your future. I am the vanguard of your destruction. This exchange is over.
*Sovereign Mass Effect 1*
1:53:00 regarding divergence - Logical point of view on this. And chances of finding the exception to this would be so rare to stumble on, astronomically rare for a streamer really, but when the trilogy is completed it might be entertaining to google just how far off the rails it will allow you to go without hitting a "Critical Mission Failure" reload screen.
yes, Geth are Robots, which is why Tali have the ability to shut down/take over Geth....robots
Always good to bring Tali in Geth missions, both for her abilities and story.
max up Tali's hacking
meeting geth...
"they are not robotic tough..." 😀
You never know.
before you embark on Ilos, you should do at least Asteroid DLC
I'm not sure what it is called precisely but you'll see it
it is good sidequest that is much longer than usual quests and also at least partially in unique setting
I wondered what that was, okay, I'll definitely do it then. Thanks for the info!
@@KingdomAce no problem
It is one of the three, I believe DLC for ME1 but only two are included in Legendary Edition as there was some issues that made it impossible to recover or something.
I don't think that's fully explained until ME2...
That specter AR had way better accuracy with slightly less damage and fire rate. Damage is not the only Stat that makes a weapon useful in a fight.
1:31:17 is where we speak with Sovereign
Looking forward to the next one.
aww how cool! thank you, life can wait 😄
*Squad synchronization*
Yeah, ME1 didn't really have a close-knit group of people.
*Help the Salarians*
Yep, disrupting the communication devices, destroying the flyers and such are all optional targets, but if you find and do them it increases the chance of Kirrahe's teams to survive the mission.
*Sewer*
You can actually go through the sewers to avoid using the main entrance, but almost nobody knows there's a door there to hack, so most people only discover this once they're inside. It does mean you never get to disable the alarms near the main entrance where Tali did so in the cutscene, so I honestly don't know what consequences that has. I find the regular route more satisfying, so I've never tried it myself.
Biotic abilities don't work on drones.
2:23:00 You compare level 7 Spectre gear to level 9 gear.
Sovereign is like all reapers, lying to glorify themselves and their purpose.
YES IT CHANGE THE RANGE, lol, it is a ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM He using the wrong "zoom" lol
I think he is trolling lol
I’m honestly surprised he picked Ashley
Every other person who LPs this game is quick to abandon her
...And since I'm talking over here XD - ME3 was already fixed to a better representation of what was intended. You don't need to worry about it in LE. I still have trauma from the original and even I think you can now play it vanilla (and then do another playthrough with a mod if you like.) That's all I'll say about it to avoid any possibility of spoilers!
Damn I really enjoy your playthrough bro
Actually, since you found Wrex's family armor, you were pretty much guaranteed to talk Wrex down.
why no spectre gear?? did he forget he could get that in c-sec?
I never knew about it. But I literally bought some in this video
@@KingdomAce yea yea, I skipped the part when you were down by the mako, sorry lol
@KingdomAce btw the reason why that spectre gear was worse is because it was the mark 7 version of those guns, while the ones you were comparing them to were the mark 9 versions
Sovereign is a menace 😂😂
If you like the Volkov sniper, try it with explosive rounds. Totally OP!
They took it out of the next two games ☹️.
In me1 I don't use anything other than a sniper. I get that specter hwsr sniper from the csec requisition officer every time, that thing is a beast.
@@joshuajackson472 It is good, but the Volkov is an auto loader. Fires faster. That fits my playstyle better.
So I decided to do an adept playthrough for the first time.
I'm writing this while paused in the final mission of ME2.
Saved Kirrahe hell yha
Kind of sad you got a minor glitch. In the scene showing the Normandy leaving Kaiden and the Nuke going off, its supposed to have a harsh orchestral sting with sad background music as soon as the Nuke goes off, but yours was just playing the default Virmire track, which was just a tad unfitting lol.
ah man, I didnt even know, that sucks. that kinda thing can happen, but I was still pretty impacted by it so at least in the moment I was alright with it!
i just saw your video but you're in for one hell of a ride if you plan to play the entire trilogy :D
Oh im ready for it, ill be starting ME2 VERY soon
@@KingdomAce Why not steal a sample of the cure?
still not learned how to double zoom with the make? :o
I hope you won't skip Bring Down the Sky dlc.
W episode
19:20 would've worked anyways 👍 😁
Save Ashley. Kaidan just evolves to be a bitter persson deeper in the story while Ashley just grows as a person!
He grows to be a more bitter person? What makes you think so? (I’m genuinely curious because that is not my perception of him at all.)
@@unlmtdsky12my thoughts exactly. He starts voicing his opinions more I think in the sequels but I don't remember bitterness.
This is a rare opinion, and it reflects romantic choices.
Yeah, done watching your playthrough. 😊
@@KingdomAce Bro now you can see, it's not particularly "the witcher community" that makes stupid comments like this. It will happen in almost every episode, it is what it is. A lot of people arr frustrated and they are going to ruin your fun and episodes. My tip to you, from sincerest heart, dont give a shit about that comments. The bigger channel and views will be, there will be more comments like this. So dont let this people ruin your fun. All the best bro, I'm waiting for mor content from witcher and other games!
With your attitude, good. Go do your own playthrough instead of trashing Ace. It's his first playthrough. Let him do it his way.
This comment really means a lot. Thanks so much. I know I don't always do what a pro does, but I always figured people liked blind playthroughs because they're not perfect. Just feels crazy to me to get mad at someone playing a game for the first time. It's one thing if I was trashing the game for my own mistakes, but I haven't even done that at all, so I just don't get it. But thanks for making my day. I'm actually recording more right now so this was the power boost I needed!
@KingdomAce aye man, glad to help. I get to see different things and different viewpoints from watching these blind playthroughs. I appreciate that stuff. I wish I could play for the first time again. It's quite the experience, and you only get one. Keep doing you. Haters gonna hate 🤷♂️🤙
Flawed reasoning on that choice!
You need to stop running everywhere! You are missing things because of this! Be aware of things around you.
What am I missing?
32:56 one of several iconic gaming moments in one mission
2:08:55 also glitched music ruined the emotion lol
Instead of destroying the cure why didn't the just steal a sample?
