So glad that you chose engineer!! Here are a few short summaries of the powers u have and how I used them: Incinerate is a great armor stripper, really powerful when paired with cryo blast. Overload, you already know. The "chain to an extra enemy" evolution of this power was sooo good. Cryo blast was my bread and butter, has a very short cooldown and when specced right will increase your damage on any target regardless of it having shields/armor by 25% which is huge in insanity difficulty. You need every bit of power multiplier you can get in insanity. Combat drone and sentry turret are kinda disappointing as they are no where near as powerful as we want them to be but they serve as a game changing distraction/stunner. Can be very powerful when used right. Sabotage is a weak power unless you get the +100% dmg boost evolution which allows you to one shot some of the strongest enemies during endgame.
I also love Engineer Class(as does Omega. 😏), but I think you’re underestimating sabotage. It’s also a hack that turns what’s normally one of the more annoying enemies to fight(engineers. Also geth primes) into extra firepower when you turn their own turrets or drones against them, giving you three extra targets for enemies to shoot at/be shot by besides you and your squadmates.
@@coffeeveins Oh definitely. They do help a lot with sentries and even mechs but you only need a single point for that. The 100% tech damage boost is also really great for big enemies. Helps you strip their defenses so fast.. but the 25% dmg boost from cryo blast is just a flat increase to your damage across the board, not to mention how awesome it is to just 1shot freeze every unprotected enemy with a really low cooldown so I always max out cryoblast and incinerate first. Sabotage towards endgame.

Fun fact about Jacob and James. They are main characters in their own stories. Jacob in a terrible top down (IOS) game “mass effect galaxy” before joining Cerberus. And James leads a squad in an animated movie called “Paragon lost” before or during the collector attacks.
1:09:32 I just noticed that the “I’ve got a lot to live for” option isn’t available on console if you romanced Liara in ME1 and romanced someone else in ME2 we’re basically forced to flirt with her a bit and I always felt dirty for doing that😭
You're right, we're seeing new sides to Shepard. I hadn't thought of that. But ME3 is a whole lot more grittier than even ME2. The atmosphere is the best of all of them. And yes, the ME3 multiplayer was great. Basically, you played as like a cleanup team for some of the stages in the main game. Your characters would level up, and you could "promote" them to reset their level to 1 and unlock further cosmetic options. It took a life of completely its own, introducing classes and races unseen in the main game. They didn't update it for the Legendary Edition, however, which is a shame.
Its great to see you now get into ME3! I've got some tips for you, if you'll take them. It could make your insanity playthrough as an engineer a bit easier. weapons you can buy: - Blood Pack Punisher SMG, it has anti-armor rounds baked in - Paladin Pistol, it's lightweight with high damage output compabitable bonus powers: - Defensive Matrix, it strenghtens shields and give you armor when discharged - Biotic Barrier, it strengthens shields and lifts unarmoured enemies when discharged you may already know this, but you can deal massive damage with tech-detonations as an egineer; and you can respec your skill tree by visiting the medbay if you want to raise your weapon weight capacity up to 50
Engineer .... Super! Love it! Just be sure to get that cryo blast talent going though. On Insanity, you need to kill/harm multiple mobs rather than just one. Combos!!!! You're "Tech" now, and remember tech primers (spells that linger and do damage beyond the initial hit) are exploded by tech detonators. You can string them along (with low enough CDs, so keep that at 200% for sure), one after another. Cryo blast > incinerate > overload, etc. You want massive and frequent BOOMS on insanity. Your weapon buffs (fire, freeze, warp) can prime as well. Outfit the whole team with cryo ammo and watch stuff turn to ice as you blow them all to dust. Very satisfying!!! Your team is important ---- Liara can use biotics to detonate her biotics - other team members can as well. Singularity/pull (primers) followed by warp can devastate multiple mobs. Insanity = Combos!!!! Spells like incinerate can curve around things, too ... just aim a bit up/side when you have them targeted. Oh, consider Barrier or Tech Armor as your "added" talent, too, especially on insanity. Can't wait for the next vid!
Cryo blast is awesome in this game. If you are playing on insanity you will need to upgrade your guns to level 5 and use ultralight materials. The beginner guns just won't cut it so use the new guns the game has to offer. Once you can go to Presidium Commons you can buy the Bloodpack Punisher, the Venom and the Striker. These guns cost 7,000 to 10,000 credits and so damn good. Other guns will come available during missions and suggest trying them or at least let your squad use them as its a waste not to use them. When facing Cerberus take someone that can use pull or Liara.
Funny you kept using Sabotage instead of Overload against living beings. Sabotage is best against machines. Doing a playthrough with engineer now on Twitch my favorite class. Gave my squad with ammo team share so I can use their ammo abilities. Playing on hardcore or insanity is so much better as you will a sense of achievement now.
This game also has cover penetration… so if you get armor pen mods for your guns, you can just shoot thru some thing cover (and sometimes it’s pretty thick if you stack armor own buffs. Just read the descriptions on mods and weapons and abilities carefully to see what works.
My man playing my favorite ME title with my favorite class? And on the most difficult setting no less? Now this is going to be a banger playthrough. I'm looking forward to this immensely! As for a nickname, you should name your drone "Ke'sed," which is Khelish for "naive one," used in an endearing manner. Oh, and Khelish is the native language of the Quarians.
I love ME3, despite what some others say about it. And it has one of the best DLCs out there. I forget what the name of the mission is, but try to save the Citadel DLC until towards the end of the game, just before "Priority: Earth" for best timing. Speaking of "Priority" missions, those are just names, they are not timed or anything. It is recommended to do side quests before doing a Priority mission, since some of the side quests get locked out once a Priority mission is completed (usually ones associated with that region), and you can't do them anymore. Some can have ramifications on the main story. In the Loadout screen, different weapons have different weights, so for now, AR's and Snipers are really heavy, but later you may find a different one that's lighter, and combined with weight reducing materials, they may become viable for your build. IIRC, companions do not get bonus or reductions in ability cooldowns due to the lack of the blue percentage bar on their loadout screen, so equip them with whatever you want. "Its got to be hard leaving earth like this." Funny you should say that, the sad piano music that plays as the Normandy is leaving Earth is called..."Leaving Earth" I'm glad you're enjoying the franchise so much, sorry for all the backseat gaming tips, but I just know some others get confused about certain things in other playthroughs and I thought I'd try to clarify while you're still early on in the playthrough.
@1:36:22 Since you spell “drone” with a “dr” you can simply call it “Doc”. It’d be like saying you sent in the Doc to fix or “remedy” the situation. OR. You can keep it simple like a pet name or something. Like Spark or Flash. Or instead of giving it an official name you could jokingly say something like “pokeball go” every time you send one out.
Okay, no joke, Incendiary Ammo is the most powerful ability in the game. Properly upgraded, it can give the entire squad explosive incendiary rounds that melts enemies even at the highest difficulty level.
Mass effect 3 multiplayer actually slapped, I had some friends who bought the game specifically for multiplayer and I had over 1000 hours. Andromeda multiplayer is ok, but it doesn’t hit the same way 3 did.
Wow, having this so soon after ME 2 feels like a dream! Thank you for providing us the best playthroughs on TH-cam! Chossing Engineer in Insanity Difficulty? This is going to be so fun! If you ever need help with the Galaxy map, I recommend the video Mass Effect 3 Complete Scanning Guide by GTAVLoclock. (The website TheGamer also has a helpful guide for the whole game but you don't need it for this playthrough to be clear. Just letting you or anyone in the comments know just to be helpful and informative) To ease your worries with Liara, you only lock-in a romance with her during a conversation on the Citadel later in the game, and is super easy to choose the friend option there, so don't worry with the optional dialogues with her during this early game. As for Tali, you can lock-in her romance as soon as you meet her again. Like before, any suggestions we give will be non-spoiler and your personal choice will always prevail!
Enjoy the game man, its a whole thing. lol Observations from my time as an ME3 Engineer, recommendations, not obligations, no desire to pressure. Start Combat with the turret and drone; quick cool down, safe distance. And then trade Sabotage for Cryo Blast, it pairs Really well with Incinerate. Some guns will be really great for the Engi in the future. I wish you luck Cmdr. Shepard.
I knew it wouldn't take you long to start playing ME3. Gonna be an amazing time. Diana Allers is played and modeled off of Jessica Chobot who either worked or had just recently stopped working at IGN. It caused a little controversy since putting a journalist in the game was seen as a conflict of interest.
I’m too lazy to google her but I think she’s been gone from IGN for many years now. I think adding her to the game wasn’t the best decision. Modders have replaced her with Emily Wong. If I had a PC I would definitely install that mod
You're right, I didn't even think about this. My brain went straight to incendiary because of ME2 but as an Engineer, I can probably setup with warp easier
@@KingdomAcein me3, incinerate primes with fire, and overload detonates for a fire explosion, so you can cause explosions without help from your squad mates if needed (your drone can also prime or detonate, but it’s not as controllable). Warp or throw from a biotic can also detonate anything that’s primed. Just read all the power descriptions and evolutions carefully. I loved me3 so much because of the ability spam of a bunch of the classes. Bullets can be boring. 😂
Snipers are OP in the game especially with the widow but considering that the game goes back to letting Shepard have all weapon types it doesn’t matter
I will warn you Mass Effect 3 has the hardest combat of all three games But it’s more fare than 2 enemies can miss now I will also say that cryo blast is fantastic to have especially with Incinerate
So ME3 handles romance in a low key complicated way like if you romance one character and no one in ME2, in ME3 you can either continue with the one, or start a new one,and vise versa, romanced two characters? Same thing but now you got three choices, and of course if you didn’t romance anyone in the first two games, you can start one with all the specific characters for your Shepard (depending on gender)
"I'm going to be an engineer, because Tali is an engineer." has the same vibe as "I'm going to pick that college because that's where my girlfriend is going." Lol, in all seriousness, engineer is a blast to play! I approve regardless of your reasoning.
I did because I played ME1 as default Shepard meaning I was a soldier and played ME2 as an adept and it makes sense narratively for the trilogy as Shepard starts as a soldier when he assigned for the alliance, after his death Cerberus retrieved his remains to rebuild him and as his destiny is to beat the reapers they rebuild him to become the most powerful biotic in the galaxy and Cerberus operatives (in the context of ME2 at least) are biotic and after he was grounded on earth for destroying the alpha relay he decided to take a job as an actual engineer not knowing how much it’d save his life once the reapers arrived
Bro, I’m 15 mins into this vid, so not sure if you’ll be covering a particular ‘Priority’ mission in either the first episode or the second one. In case you aren’t able to cover it in Episodes 1 & 2 for the ME 3 series, PLEASE get “Priority: Eden Prime” out of the way as soon as possible. Let’s just say the lore and dialog options in the game will be richer after that mission.
Ashely was saying it's convenient that shep was working with cerberus and now there here on mars same time that you guys are. BTW not sure you're using sabotage correctly
There's an animated mass effect Movie called paragon lost. I strongly suggest. You watch it, It takes place between mass effect two and 3. It's a movie about James Vega.
Oh, I’m pretty sure you can only get Reave if you rescue Kaiden on Virmire, although I think once you unlock a power it’s available on all playthroughs(???).
4:08 i think its because the face gets worse and worse if you don't tweek the face you made in Mass effect 1, I'm not sure. 7:00 Reave is Impossible for you to get now, Since its a companion shared ability, and that comes from Kaiden, which you know... 9:50 still it be better if you chose Vanguard, since none of your companions is a Vangaurd. Also Mass effect Andromeda doesn't have classes (not exactly anyways), you will see what I mean when you get to it. 12:20 he is from some comics and animated series. 22:00 this kid is a weird to be included in the game to begin with. 24:14 honestly you could use console commands to noclip and explore the skybox and background and what not, why? why not, sometimes its interesting to see what is going on. 29:46 oh yeah if you want to keep the recharge rate of your abilities to stay fast, you will have to use weapons that are light only, and restrict the amount of weapons to no more then 2. 44:50 hey, you getting it. But of course weight doesn't matter for your companions. 1:19:25 it was in this moment that he knew he fucked up! Admiral Hackett is like Shepards Grandpa David Anderson is like Shepards Dad
Oh im doing dragon age, it's taking everything in me to NOT do it at the same time as Mass Effect 💀 the biggest decision is if people would rather me do Dragon age before or after Andromeda
@@KingdomAce Depends. It'll be a long while before ME 5 releases while Veilguard is on everyone's minds right now. You can either finish ME for now and then marathon the Dragon Age series, or switch between them to give yourself room from the end of the ME trilogy and start DA Origins and maybe DA 2, and then do Andromeda before Inquisition and Veliguard. Either way, I can't wait for all of these! (Just to be aware, every Dragon Age game is radically different from eachother in almost every way except for setting and lore, which you transfer ala ME, so treat them as such and you'll have a blast!)

RIP Vanguard, you would of totally had way more fun with it, I can guarantee it, but maybe next time, because damn everything looks so damn punchable on Vangaurd, plus you can forget about guns, when you are the weapon of mass destruction (literally),and you can easily deal with Armored enemies. but I will return once I catch up on my queue of videos, but Insanity huh? better hope you ascend your companions to godhood soon (aka build them up really damn good)(FYI, your companions, for what ever reason, can make the most inaccurate gun, 100% accurate, no matter what, idk why, do what you will with that info when you see a powerful but very inaccurate gun to buy)

You were waxing lyrical a few episodes back about an "enhanced" mattock.... There is a fully automatic version available. The Cerberus Harrier. It's horrendously expensive. I does around 20% less damage than the Mattock.... However! Think of it as the bastard love child of the Mattock and the Locust!! With a decent scope on, and upgraded it's very stable and accurate. You can tap off single rounds, I'm a fan of three round bursts... It's a beast!
It's not fully about the damage, its about distraction. As an engineer, keeping the enemies from looking my way is important! And when its upgraded further, it exploding on death does a ton of damage!

Jacob in a terrible top down (IOS) game “mass effect galaxy” before joining Cerberus.
And James leads a squad in an animated movie called “Paragon lost” before or during the collector attacks.
yea cannibals will eat other cannibals you down to heal themself, can be very annoying sometimes

Bro really said “Finish her!” as if he is a Mortal Kombat voiceover
1:09:32 I just noticed that the “I’ve got a lot to live for” option isn’t available on console if you romanced Liara in ME1 and romanced someone else in ME2 we’re basically forced to flirt with her a bit and I always felt dirty for doing that😭
@@Manuelz The Optional flirting mod is your friend in this situation.
I have this installed for my playthrough, I also had it for ME2 💀
I am so here with you on this playthrough. ☺️
I appreciate you 🙏🏾❤️ im sure im gonna need all the emotional support I can get in this series 😭🔥
You didn't unleash your abilities from the very beginning, you didn't forget in the second part...
It could make your insanity playthrough as an engineer a bit easier.
weapons you can buy:
- Blood Pack Punisher SMG, it has anti-armor rounds baked in
- Paladin Pistol, it's lightweight with high damage output
compabitable bonus powers:
- Defensive Matrix, it strenghtens shields and give you armor when discharged
- Biotic Barrier, it strengthens shields and lifts unarmoured enemies when discharged
you may already know this, but you can deal massive damage with tech-detonations as an egineer; and you can respec your skill tree by visiting the medbay if you want to raise your weapon weight capacity up to 50
You're doing good for your first time in insanity. People usually underestimate it.
I did Sentinel in ME3 and Engineer in Andromeda. Solider and Infiltrator for the first 2 games.
Lets go!! KingdomAce delivering the goods!!!
I hope you enjoy! Thanks for taking the time to leave a kind comment 😭❤️
@KingdomAce For this channel?! Anything bruh.
@T-Town80sbaby Much love 😭🙏🏾❤️
The Intro to ME3 is released, and I'm here stuck in meetings all day!
"We can actually UNDO.... Aaaaa 28:11 "
If and when you get the chance you should definitely read the journal entries. Fascinating lore.
I think the thing I liked least in combat in ME3 is the damn smoke grenades.
Get ready, this is the culmination of all your work. Have tissue ready this will be a rollercoaster of emotions enjoy bro.
Engineer in ME3 is much better than in the previous games. So not a bad choice^^
Couple episodes in right now and im loving it! It's very different from any class I've played so far!
18:18 When I first played this game I suspected that everything after this was was a dream.
Glad you are enjoying this game series🙂 Do you have a weekly schedule you could share? Curious when the next RDR is uploaded..
10:21 that visual is hilarious
Lets gooooo, insanity is pretty challenging but ME3 is balanced enough to be enjoyable. Ashley is alright in this game too...
Thanks for the tips, I've already recorded episode 3, so for episode 4 I will 100% go back to the citadel and find those guns and stuff.
"Its got to be hard leaving earth like this." Funny you should say that, the sad piano music that plays as the Normandy is leaving Earth is called..."Leaving Earth"
I'm glad you're enjoying the franchise so much, sorry for all the backseat gaming tips, but I just know some others get confused about certain things in other playthroughs and I thought I'd try to clarify while you're still early on in the playthrough.
LETS GOOOOOO!
ITS BEEN A JOURNEY BUT WE MADE IT!
WOOOOOO ALL I NEEDED TO HEAR
James Vega is the main character of the Mass Effect anime Paragon Lost.
Mass effect 3 multiplayer actually slapped, I had some friends who bought the game specifically for multiplayer and I had over 1000 hours. Andromeda multiplayer is ok, but it doesn’t hit the same way 3 did.
This was fun well done Commander
10:19 that was adorable 🥰
I can be romantic sometimes!
Just letting you or anyone in the comments know just to be helpful and informative)
To ease your worries with Liara, you only lock-in a romance with her during a conversation on the Citadel later in the game, and is super easy to choose the friend option there, so don't worry with the optional dialogues with her during this early game. As for Tali, you can lock-in her romance as soon as you meet her again.
Like before, any suggestions we give will be non-spoiler and your personal choice will always prevail!
Enjoy the game man, its a whole thing. lol
Observations from my time as an ME3 Engineer, recommendations, not obligations, no desire to pressure.
Start Combat with the turret and drone; quick cool down, safe distance. And then trade Sabotage for Cryo Blast, it pairs Really well with Incinerate. Some guns will be really great for the Engi in the future.
I wish you luck Cmdr. Shepard.
Name your drone "Tasti Pankeks"😁
.
best part 48:23
nice move switching to insanity
i feel like the first few missions are hard, especially on insanity, cuz you aren't used to the powers yet and don't have stuff upgraded
If I had a PC I would definitely install that mod
oh geez thats kinda wild
Best way to play ME3 insanity also you don’t ever command your followers to shoot or take cover it will save you sometimes
Might wanna change your bonus power to a ammo type like warp ammo. It'll make your guns more efficient and help set up power detonations.
If you take a bonus power to prime, don’t take warp ammo, it can’t prime, it just makes your bullets do more damage.
Yay engineer. it seems like everybody either plays vanguard or sniper.
Snipers are OP in the game especially with the widow but considering that the game goes back to letting Shepard have all weapon types it doesn’t matter
LETS GOOO
ME3 is an emotional trauma
Stay strong
Keep your eyes dry
You will need atleast those 65% of water in your body for the final chapter
Glad you upped the level from Normal, but you might regret doing Insanity later on haha
No worries, you can always lower it a level.
I will warn you Mass Effect 3 has the hardest combat of all three games
But it’s more fare than 2 enemies can miss now
I will also say that cryo blast is fantastic to have especially with Incinerate
So ME3 handles romance in a low key complicated way like if you romance one character and no one in ME2, in ME3 you can either continue with the one, or start a new one,and vise versa, romanced two characters? Same thing but now you got three choices, and of course if you didn’t romance anyone in the first two games, you can start one with all the specific characters for your Shepard (depending on gender)
Interesting thing to note! I'm sure those who waiting til 3 to do romance will have some good choices coming up!
Oh im so hyped. Just finished my first male shep play, but like my 40th play through 😓😓
Bro, I’m 15 mins into this vid, so not sure if you’ll be covering a particular ‘Priority’ mission in either the first episode or the second one. In case you aren’t able to cover it in Episodes 1 & 2 for the ME 3 series, PLEASE get “Priority: Eden Prime” out of the way as soon as possible.
Let’s just say the lore and dialog options in the game will be richer after that mission.
Gonna say this now, I dont do it in Episode 2 either. But if its available, I'll do my best to do it in Episode 3! thanks for the non-spoiler tip!
Ashely was saying it's convenient that shep was working with cerberus and now there here on mars same time that you guys are. BTW not sure you're using sabotage correctly
Let's go boy!!!
WE'RE FINALLY HERE!! 😭🙏🏽
Get ready for imo the best campaign dlc you'll ever play.
There's an animated mass effect Movie called paragon lost. I strongly suggest.
You watch it, It takes place between mass effect two and 3. It's a movie about James Vega.
Let's goooo 🎉
Oh, I’m pretty sure you can only get Reave if you rescue Kaiden on Virmire, although I think once you unlock a power it’s available on all playthroughs(???).
heart is breaking
Admiral Hackett is like Shepards Grandpa
David Anderson is like Shepards Dad
Congrats on your first death on your first mission 😂
LETS GO!!
best triolgy ever
Maybe you should have watched Mass Effect: Paragon Lost first. May have made sense more.
Try all types of weapons, this part of the game worked well in that direction
awesome , who are you gonna romance in me3 ?
Planning to stick with Tali
@@KingdomAce Excellent choice, her romance hits particularly hard in this game. You're gonna love it!
Please tell me you are going to do Dragon Age??!
@@KingdomAce I would say, go ahead and do Andromeda. It might be jarring to play a medieval type game and then go back to space.
I did play the multiplayer on PS3 I played a drill I was a blast loved it
*Drell
Greetings from Ukraine... you popped up on my TH-cam, and you know what.. you're on fire! Keep up the good work, you're a cool dude!
YO THATS SO COOL! Thanks for supporting the video from across the world! And thanks for your kind comment, i appreciate you! I hope to see you in my comments again 🙏🏽❤️
The Wife and I are so excited to be on this journey with ya 🙏🏻 and I can't wait for Knights of the old Republic 😭 thanks for taking the time out of your day to share this with us, brother 🙏🏻
Also-- when you get to it, Andromeda's multiplayer still has working servers, I think you'd enjoy it at least for yourself if not for stream 👏
(Edited because I either spell like a college grade or a kindergartner, there is no In-between)
1:36:22 should name it K.A.Y acronym for (kill, awareness ,yeet)
finally!
like you already know, ending is kinda controverison thing between the fans, but the game is genuinely great and I was very happy with it as an ending to trilogy
I'm sure you're going to enjoy it
I'm a huge ME fan, and I really enjoy watching your play through and reactions. ❤
Thanks so much for your support and the kind words, I hope to see you in the comments again on future episodes 🙏🏾❤️
Kela'Selai i hope noone spoils you anything about ME3 ... play it without interuption ... play it without questions or interaction ... you need to play it on your own for the first time :`
its gonna be okay!
@@KingdomAce if you are like anyone else i have seen playing ME3 ... you will not. everyone who has called that little tank fella his child, anyone who loves tali, garrus and all the other chars form ME2 cryed ... you are on a way to mutch fun ^^ don't get yourself spoiled because someone talks to mutch in comments
How is that drone working out? I don't see it causing much damage.
It's not fully about the damage, its about distraction. As an engineer, keeping the enemies from looking my way is important! And when its upgraded further, it exploding on death does a ton of damage!
he dont have max leveled version you probably see rocket drone
