Thanks Pete, yeah gotta say that from my experiences so far, the GT4 seems to provide closer and more exciting racing than the GT3s in ACC. Really enjoyed this one
Lovely stuff Chris - always enjoy ACC and your new transitions look great! You’re a bit of a master around Zolder so no surprise to see you in the top ten - great action throughout!
Thank you mate. Plenty of little mistakes littered about in there too, but that just added to the fun! The guys in front were a tad quicker, but if I’d managed to stay in that battle for 5th, I reckon I could have stuck with them.
Hi Chris, great race and great attitude with the defending and overtaking. You had some excellent overtakes. That battle at lap 5 was crazy, great job not getting collected there!
Hey Lorenzo, thanks mate. Yeah, it was probably my best ACC race yet… not my best finish, but best in terms of competitiveness. Lots of sloppy mistakes to eliminate in future races though!
exciting race! It's so nice watching drivers race using common sense, and your commentary really helps understand your moves and strategy. Good result, congrats!
Thanks Walt, whenever I run a GT4 race in ACC it always takes me back to that rookies series we joined when we first started! Trying to survive chaos and carnage every week!
I thought I wasn't on my favourite sim racing channel there for a second at the intro 😀 Some small production changes Chris, but they look very slick and polished. Good racing too!
Haha yes, not my handiwork! A viewer called Matt made them for me, thought I’d try and freshen it up a bit. Add some gloss to hide my continued mistakes on track haha
Haha! Well, maybe nice guys finish second-last. It’s the quitters who finish dead last 🤣 but yeah, I need to make myself a bit more difficult to overtake! Cheers for watching Bill, always appreciated.
Yeah, one of the reasons I don’t defend more is because I find it puts me off line for the next 2-3 corners and messes up my rhythm. I guess with more time to practice, I’d work out the corners/sections that are easier to defend in.
Haha yeah. Only small steps, but I’m trying not to surrender every time I see a faster driver behind me. Still need to clean up a load of those sloppy mistakes though!
Yeah that is teething problems. I’m using new software too, it’s actually the game sound that was too quiet, rather than the transitions being too loud. I had to increase the master volume after edit, so the game sounds could be heard. Which in turn made the transitions too loud! Just need to find a better volume balance in the coming videos
@@chrisrogerssimracing Don't know if the beers helped but I got my first raceroom win tonight in the NSU at Hockenheim. Very much a beginner but very satisfying and I have you to thank for my new found passion. Thanks Chris 🙏
@@bluebird8004 Ahh mate, I can’t tell you how much that comment has cheered me up! A lot of people think I should take it more seriously than I do, but I’m just here to have fun and enjoy it. So to know I’ve passed that on to someone else is better than any race wins or podiums! Thank you 😃
Aye, the only surprising thing was that more than 2 didn’t end up in the sand. Enjoying this GT4 series more than the GT3 at the moment. Finding it a bit easier to keep closer to the packs ahead. But still making a lot of sloppy mistakes.
Great video! One thing to consider is showing replays as a picture-in-picture instead of cutting away from the race. Check Basic Ollie's videos, he does that. I think it works well because it doesn't interrupt the flow of the race to look into the replay, which usually breaks the momentum a bit.
Thanks man, yeah I know a lot of the main TH-camrs do it that way, but I wanted to do it this way just to offer something different to the crowd. My main aim is to make a shorter, more watchable video for those casual viewers who don’t want to watch an entire race. The replay cuts definitely wouldn’t work if I was showing a full race, but I use them to turn a 30min race into a 10min video so people who don’t have much time can watch it quickly 👍
Yes! I wondered if anyone would notice! So thanks for saying 😃 Not my work, all created by a very clever chap called Matt, who is a regular viewer. I’m well happy with them, really sharpens up the video presentation
I love Zolder, it’s one of my favourite tracks but it sure does punish the smallest of mistakes! Those chicanes will lose you 1sec just by being an inch or two off line!
Been watching your videos for some time now and i like the commentary but i have noticed that you have a tendency to focus on what's happening behind you too much. Keep 99.8 percent of your focus ahead and let them worry about not hitting you. Making sure to nail your apexes and exits will give you the vast majority of your lap time not late braking (although you will occasionally need to late brake) and if you find yourself in one of those uncorrectable spins you might wanna try brake AND throttle to correct it. It works in most sims. Hope these little points help. 😃
Thanks mate, yeah that’s the big problem I’ve always struggled with. So many times I’ve been hit from behind, I lose confidence and worry it’s my fault for not braking when the car behind expects me to brake. And the trouble is, I only do 1-2 races a week. I wouldn’t be so cautious if I knew I could do the same race again each hour, until I got a good race in. But because it might be my only race of the week, I have to try my best to ensure I get to the finish line - which sometimes means surrendering. It’s no fun, looking forward to your one race of the week, only to be crashed out on the opening laps 🤣 thanks for the tips though, really appreciate it. The thing I was trying to do here was not make it quite so easy for people to pass me. It kinda worked, until I made a couple of slippy mistakes!
That switch back at 6:50 was so satisfying
Great stuff Chris really like the GT4's always close racing, well done on another great ACC stream.
Thanks Pete, yeah gotta say that from my experiences so far, the GT4 seems to provide closer and more exciting racing than the GT3s in ACC. Really enjoyed this one
Loving the new graphics and transitions Chris! Looks really sharp!
Thanks mate, yeah trying to freshen it up a bit. Still need to get the sound levels right, as they were a bit too loud in this one. Work in progress!
@@chrisrogerssimracing keep at it Chris mate! You’ve got the greatest commentary of any sim racing channel I watch

Great run there Chris, looked like the competition was pretty fierce there! Thanks for sharing with us!!!

What a great race, very close battles . Nice defending from you. Love it

@@chrisrogerssimracing Unless the quitter crashes us out before he quits then we finish last :) I love the new Intro!
Great racing Chris. Really enjoyed that as well as the new, sleek production 👍
Thank you Mark, yeah a fresh coat of paint for the video presentation (trying to cover up the many mistakes I made on track) haha
Love this track. Great racing Chris. I think focus on your own line is often the best.
Yeah, one of the reasons I don’t defend more is because I find it puts me off line for the next 2-3 corners and messes up my rhythm. I guess with more time to practice, I’d work out the corners/sections that are easier to defend in.

Like the new transitions and intro. :)
The new sound effect for the replays sounds a bit loud ,think I prefer the previous sound.

Awesome drive mate!! Great race :)
Thanks mate. Was probably my best ACC race in terms of enjoyment. I had competitive pace, just need to cancel out those sloppy mistakes!
one of my favorite commentators and drivers :) on the edge of my seat :)

Exciting race. Might try and get into LFM.
Like any online racing, you get your fair share of bad grids. But it is a good way to get some structured online competition in ACC or rF2.
Love your acc videos as always 👍
Thank you for saying, mate, really appreciate it. Cheers for watching 😃

P8 with a bunch of sloppy mistakes thrown in. Could possibly have been top 5 if I knew how to stay on the track 🤣
@@chrisrogerssimracing 🤣 That was like me in F3 on iRacing this week. New track, and I screwed up a lot. 🤣
