    I love Misano how could you not love it? Lol its imo the no1 track for pure trail braking. Love it.
    Its all about balance and trail braking the correct speed throughout to not rattle balance catch those throttle points and exits and bam perfection!
    But awesome race man! Enjoyed it.

      Well, I reluctantly admit I like it more now. That may or may not be to do with finally getting a good result there 🤣 to be fair, I’ve always loved the final sector. From those fast right handers into the final two corners that flow really well. But the rest, I’ve always struggled big time with its fast-slow-fast-slow nature. It’s growing on me though!

    Misano is a great track! It does require learning your braking points and having the car set up correctly. A solid race pace is around 1:34. 1:33 with the better splits..
    I did a practice session on the LFM practice server. 16 laps all between 1:33.4 and 1:34.2.
    Getting your tires in the right window makes a huge difference.

      So I was really lucky to be a split lower than where I’d normally be. I’d have had no chance to challenge for a strong finish in my usual split. Couldn’t get anywhere near 34s!

    Well done, Chris. You make ACC look like fun, but every time I give it a try I realize I don't like the handling. I go back to AC and feel at home. I enjoy your videos, so keep it up!

      @chrisrogerssimracing  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It’s taken me a LONG long time to enjoy ACC. Every other sim I race, I can hop straight in and enjoy it immediately. But with ACC, it took me a very long time for it to feel like fun, rather than a chore. Probably a good 18 months of persevering. But I’d agree there are far more fun sims out there. AC and RaceRoom off the top of my head.

      @chrisrogerssimracing  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah I saw you too, well ahead of me! Great combo, really good fun to drive. I’d chosen GT4 purely to avoid doing this Misano race! However, my GT4 pace was really weird… I was way slower than everyone in front of me, but way faster than everyone behind me. So I did two races, which were both quite lonely after the first 5mins. So I decided to give Misano a try, just so I had some more action-packed footage for a video 😃

  • @lowfastracing

    I really like this track in ACC, you just have to use a stable setup here maybe with higher TC than other tracks (i use one more TC in sector 1, a little bit slower, but keeps the rear absolutely stable, which is more important here), not try to hotlapping in the race, just drive carefully, and let others make the mistakes... :)

    • @chrisrogerssimracing
      @chrisrogerssimracing  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      100%. Not overdriving is definitely the key. Whenever I tried to push, I started losing it. Those first few corners are incredibly slippery, with tricky kerbs. I actually love the final two corners, they flow wonderfully well.

    • @lowfastracing
      @lowfastracing 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@chrisrogerssimracing yes, that's why i use higher TC there in races, maybe 2-3 tenths slower per lap, but that's even better than slipping. :) In my opinion the whole track is fun, for me it's the exact opposite of Laguna Seca, that i literally hate from the first corner to the last. :)

      Hi, I usually just change randomly when I feel like it. I’d say it averages out at a car per year. I started with the Ferrari, did a year in the BMW and now I’m almost a year in with the Lamborghini. The Lambo is my favourite so far, so I may well stick with it longer

    Especially with gt3 or any high performance car
    Just started watching so curious how its gonna develop
    Edit :great overtake
    I did have a question about your elo bit of a crude question but does it drop if you play less or not that you know of or does elo switch between acc and ac i found it bit curious that it was low (Although getter not surprising considering you don't have much time ) was a bit curious about that detail

    • @chrisrogerssimracing
      @chrisrogerssimracing  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Cheers mate. The ELOs for ACC and AC are separate (but the safety rating is the same for both, across LFM). If you don’t race very often, it’s far more difficult to consistently gain ELO rating. For example, one bad race (a DNF or getting caught in an accident and finishing way back) can easily cost you -100. It then takes 3-5 good races to gain +100 back. As I only race 1-2 times a week, it can take me a month to regain the ELO I lost in one bad race. But people who do lots of races every day, they can get that rating back within 24 hours.

    0:56 it was clear there wasn't any room for you. If you had let off the gas earlier, you would have been in position to make a pass b4 the next corner, should the opportunity arise (there was no clear one that time). I know it's hard to have the discipline to not go as fast as you can for some later benefit (also in that case, there was a chance of being passed if let off the gas too much or got the timing wrong, and maybe rear ended).
    I noticed a lot of minute mistakes especially when very close to another car in front. This is a symptom of not knowing the track as well as you maybe should. What I do is do a 20-25 min AI race w/ specific goals on one of my most problematic tracks every time I get in the rig. If I had a problem, as soon as I get to the next straight, i can pause it and play back that moment to see what really happened (usually some mistake on my part). The downside is it can interrupt my flow for the race. If it's a multi-player race, I keep a notepad close and make a quick note the first chance i get (sometimes several corners later) of when that moment was (eg L4), so I don't have to search through the whole race, since it's unlikely I will remember precisely when it was.
    5:10 I was sure you were going to hit that BMW. I was surprised you were able to steer to the side w/oeither tagging him or running off track😂

    • @chrisrogerssimracing
      @chrisrogerssimracing  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The Aston in particular was horrible to chase on those opening laps… it has such a wide rear, I couldn’t see any of my markers. Definitely a lack of track knowledge here though. I’d say there are only 2-3 circuits that I truly know like the back of my hand. And yeah, the overtake… I knew I had to leave that car’s width to the left of me, but it was really tough to do so. Luckily it paid off!

    Good result. I don't like Misano either but watching this, I realise I'm taking completely the wrong line in a couple of places. That was a balsy move on the BMW. Trying something like that down there does need you to clench your butt cheeks a little.

    • @chrisrogerssimracing
      @chrisrogerssimracing  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Haha yeah that’s exactly what was going on in the seat when I tried that one! I knew I’d have the inside for all the upcoming corners, but at the same time, it’s hard to stay full throttle AND on the inside, as the car was pulling over to the outside. So I was a bit worried about sending us both into the gravel. Thankfully the gamble paid off though.
