Man, this song came out back in 2007 and I was 17 years old at the time. I remember seeing this video on MTV almost every morning and not appreciate how awesome this song was/is. Now when I hear it, it take me back to the times when life wasn't too hard. It's true when older people tell you to cherish your youth, because you will miss it.

I was looking for this song since 2010 because it got me flashbacks somehow. I had to think about that but its true. Ancient: simple drum pattern, probably the most simple, electric guitar from the 70s, synth from the 80s, not too knowledgable on 90s mainstream pop, vague memory of 2000s mainstream (fergie, outkast, black eyed peas) but from those 2 decades I feel like they probably took the technological advancements in music that made it sound modern as well. Thats just my take on it though.

I had to think about that but its true. Ancient: simple drum pattern, probably the most simple, electric guitar from the 70s, synth from the 80s, not too knowledgable on 90s mainstream pop, vague memory of 2000s mainstream (fergie, outkast, black eyed peas) but from those 2 decades I feel like they probably took the technological advancements in music that made it sound modern as well. Thats just my take on it though.
