    Lyrics:
    Breathing in the dark
    Lying on it's side
    The ruins of the day
    Painted with a scar
And the more I straighten out
The less it wants to try
    The feelings start to rot
    One wink at a time
    Oh oh
    Forgiving who you are
For what you stand to gain
Just know that if you hide
    It doesn't go away
When you get out of bed
    Don't end up stranded
    Horrified with each stone
    On the stage
    My little dark age
    Picking through the cards
    Knowing what's nearby
    The carvings on the face
    Say they find it hard
    And the engine's failed again
    All limits of disguise
    The humor's not the same
    Coming from denial
    Oh oh
    I grieve in stereo
    The stereo sounds strange
I know that if you hide
    It doesn't go away
If you get out of bed
And find me standing all alone
    Open-eyed
    Burn the page
    My little dark age
(Dark age, dark age, dark age)
    I grieve in stereo
    The stereo sounds strange
You know that if it hides
    It doesn't go away
If I get out of bed
You'll see me standing all alone
    Horrified on the stage
    My little dark age
    Giddy with delight
    Seeing what's to come
    The image of the dead
    Dead ends in my mind
    Policemen swear to God
    Love's seeping from the guns
I know my friends and I
    Would probably turn and run
If you get out of bed
Come find us heading for the bridge
    Bring a stone
    All the rage
    My little dark age
    I grieve in stereo
    The stereo sounds strange
I know that if you hide
    It doesn't go away
If you get out of bed
And find me standing all alone
    Open-eyed
    Burn the page
    My little dark age
(Little dark age, little dark age)
(Little dark age, little dark age)
(Little dark age, little dark age)
    All alone
    Open-eyed
    Burn the page
    My little dark age

@@hell1942 imho, based on what’s going on with Hollywood collapsing, i think it
means the artists are aware of the dark underworld of the rich and powerful. (Epstein ,P.Diddler, jimmy saville and the 🇬🇧 royals, peter nygard,Oprah, Dan Schneider, jay z and Beyoncé types ) and their secrets, but their hands are tied because the producers behind the camera suspect something or know about their grievances…
Pay attention again and look at it more like a cryptic, criminal confession(because if it’s true, then they themselves are accessories)than just a hip song.

@@max-if5pt which makes dark age and whhen you die their best songs probably because for one it's their own and what they like but it also seems to be very popular anyways. 14mil in two years for creative art is pretty good. Electric feel and the other one (not kids) are pretty good but just a bit boring. Boring chord progression, obvious catchy riff, kids i like though and they really tried with that.

    Breathing in the dark
    Lying on its side
    The ruins of the day
    Painted with a scar
And the more I straighten out
The less it wants to try
    The feelings start to rot
    One wink at a time
    Oh
    Forgiving who you are
For what you stand to gain
Just know that if you hide
    It doesn't go away
When you get out of bed
    Don't end up stranded
    Horrified with each stone
    On the stage
    My little dark age
    Picking through the cards
    Knowing what's nearby
    The carvings on the face
    Say they find it hard
    And the engine's failed again
    All limits of disguise
    The humor's not the same
    Coming from denial
    Oh
    I grieve in stereo
    The stereo sounds strange
I know that if you hide
    It doesn't go away
If you get out of bed
And find me standing all alone
    Open-eyed
    Burn the page
    My little dark age
    I grieve in stereo
    The stereo sounds strange
You know that if it hides
    It doesn't go away
If I get out of bed
You'll see me standing all alone
    Horrified
    On the stage
    My little dark age
    Giddy with delight
    Seeing what's to come
    The image of the dead
    Dead ends in my mind
    Policemen swear to god
    Love's seeping from the guns
I know my friends and I
    Would probably turn and run
If you get out of bed
Come find us heading for the bridge
    Bring a stone
    All the rage
    My little dark age
    I grieve in stereo
    The stereo sounds strange

"Forgiving who you are, for what you stand to gain." lyrics like this is key in understanding what the song is about; potentially betraying your own will and integrity and doing bad things or making mistakes (likely to gain something) and then living with your mistake and bottling up the dark deeds you have done. No matter what you do that dreadful feeling won't go away, your own little dark age.

@@CallmeBotakaOrc Colonial America was a golden age though.
Decolonization is the dark age as the power of individual Americans is collapsing. No only on the world stage but even in their own country via the left stoking racialized/gender divisions, the left destroying organized religions, the left destroying academia, the left destroying pop culture, the left literally burning their own communities.
A civilizational dark age is when everyone in a collective consciousness falls into a "Little Dark Age" all at the same time, this induces more little dark ages in everyone as the decline becomes more apparent.
A civilizational golden age is when everyone in a collective consciousness turns into a bloomer and become present in the moment with a high expectations for the future.
A Gold/Dark age has nothing to do with war/death/slavery or destruction. It is the vibe of the universe manifested by the average person in a society. Do they care for the society? Do they want to better the society? Do they care about their fellow man? Can you trust your neighbor?
With mass unfettered immigration, the worship of blacks, the degradation of women, worship of material goods, destruction of divinity, its hard for the modern man to be bloomer. And this is a society problem because you need strong white men to have proper civilization.

This song was the first song on a Spotify playlist I clicked on a whim. Been listening to it on repeat ever since. I like that they took that 80's synth sound and combined it with music you would hear in an early PS1 Castlevania game.

@@majasjogren2867 well stereo can mean 2 sides of something, such as stereo sound, so to grieve in stereo is like grieving in a 2 sided or dualistic way. The song follows a dualistic pattern where perspective is shifted but meaning stays the same just like a song where one speaker says something slightly different than the other to envoke a clear meaning which couldn't be understood as well if you only had one speaker connected.
