i just love watching live videos of bands playing songs that literally live rent free in the minds of certain generations years later to those same kids grown up. it’s something special. especially when the crowd is as loud as, if not louder than, the band.
This song takes me back to 2007 living in Ann Arbor, Mi......in love with a girl I never got over, out of drug treatment and 22 years old.....those days/times were full of euphoria, bliss, tragedy, melonchloy, and a magic I miss in a way thats not easy to express. This song was able to capture the innocence of youth with th tragedy of adulthood. "Enjoy yourself, take only what you neeeeed from it."

Glastonbury always has the best shows, and the best crowds love seeing them on Paladia. Especially this performance it would totally be an unforgettable moment

As a fan of all, and I mean all, MGMT's stuff I get a bit annoyed by some so-called fans hating on this track, and the other two "hits". They are brilliant in their own right and the contrast between this and something like A Good Sadness, for example, is why I love this band - they do various musical styles so well and I'm sure if they had a mind to they could easily put out another album like OS. But they do what feels right at the time which is what all good bands do.

This was one of the first songs I listened to when I got out of the hospital in 2013. I had gone in with acute pancreatitis and almost died of ARDS and stayed in hospital over a month. I cried and cried. Crazy times. This song and time to pretend.💜 Makes me feel alive!!!❤

i heard this at a festival in 2010 in south florida (sunfest) and it remains the best concert experience of my life and I go to 50+ shows a year. ill never forget the energy of that crowd. everyone went ballistic and it was a pretty big crowd
I didn't know the translation in the netherlands it's "turning it gray". Meaning you play it so much the record wears off and starts skipping over. You can do it with a cd, just play it reeeeeeally often ^_^
