They've grown a lot in popularity over the last two years, but they've been touring locally for around 5-6 years now. They are trained musicians and had a prog-jazz fusion band before (Astor) where Paco played drums and Ca7riel played guitar and sang. Paco's shirt shows an argentinean actor called Roly Serrano portraying Diego Maradona in a film. Unlike many opinions I've read after their Tiny Desk show, I love that they record and play different versions of their songs, this Tiny Desk version being the most jazzy and with a larger band. In their current tour they play with the keyboard player, the drummer, the bassist and the girl playing the sampler and backing vocals.
Please, react to the rest of their Tiny Desk concert. There's an incredible piano solo in unison with the brass, which is amazing. Then Ca7riel plays a jazz guitar solo in unison with his singing. btw: Ca7triel also sings in a heavy metal band called Barro
2 weeks ago we were in the Ezeiza Airport (ARG) waiting for our flight and appeared Paco and Catriel to take the flight of American Airlines to Miami. My kids ask them for take a Selfie and without any problem Catriel took the cellphone of my daughter and he took the selfie for them. Really the simplicity and modesty of these guys is wonderful.
There's a comment on the tiny desk video that relates to the lyrics: Las letras: 🥵👹🫦🔥💅🏼🍑💦💃😈 La música: ✨🧚🏼🍃🌈🧘🏼♀🎷🪘🕯 You wanted to know what they're saying? They're talking about a woman's butt bouncing under her miniskirt...! haha Love them so much, every single element here had to be perfect and it was, it really was.
hi, i'm 76 years old, argentinian. and i've never heard before this guys in my life, Paco is the one with the "green hair" (is a hat), I love what they do in this tiny desk because I feel is music, bravo!!!! welcome back real music, thank you for the music,♥♫♥♫i think that the entire band (not everybody is Catriel and Paco Amoroso) sound MARVELOUS, i don't like many of the words the use in their lyrics buy I'm an old person, so you'll understand me!
La verdad q de la nueva hola de músicos son los mejores. Esta versión bde tyny desk se pasaron . Escucho otra música generalmente pero reconozco cuando las cosas están bien bien hechas...los músicos... todo perfecto
They are extremely talented artists/musicians that had a band for many years and were flying under the radar so they decided to start making a mix of rap/pop/trap/etc kind of “commercial” music and became super popular… nevertheless this version of their band is their best sounding material as of now, this is iconic! It will always be mentioned amongst the top Tiny Desks ever!
Currently, Roly Serrano is passing though a recovery process from a big accident car 8 months ago. Is one of biggest actor in Argentina and the Maradona's interpretation was marvelous.
I'm so happy to see this reaction from a real musician POV,, many blessings ,, kisses and hugs, from afro Metamami, in the BGV for this epic tiny.. and yes,, everybody in argentina know them. 🙃🙃
Their outfits are hilarious. The musicians that are with them are all wearing their own US Visas printed on their shirts. And the ones that have their faces on them were hired US musicians, who only had one day of practice/rehearsals to get the music down. Truly a bunch of professionals in that tiny room
I usually hate social media even though I have an IG account, but it is such a blessing when thanks to trendy audios or reels you get to know bands and musicians like them. I listen to all kind of music and I am Argentinian but I'd never heard of them till I saw a reel from tiny desk with the song "la que puede puede". It was so catchy that I look for the full version of this concert and I got absolutely amazed by these guys!! 😍🇦🇷
Im from Urbana, Ohio and i have playing Paco and Ca7riel music in my barbershop since 2019 and my customers find them extremely new to the ear and they have stayed up on all of their new jamz every since. I have all walks of life young and old coming through my shop and they really dig these guys! Come to Ohio guys and perform!
It's incredible how more talented artists come out of Argentina every year! The truth is that it seems like a country that has a lot to give on an artistic level. Greetings from Good Airs, Argentina!
They are all so talented. Found their music because of the Tiny Desk performance and I have been listening ever since. Paco and Ca7riel actually both had a fever, and were really sick the week that they went to D.C to practice, record, and film this performance. Paco's voice doesn't normally sound that way, but I think for this performance and style of music that they did for this song, it fits really well. Loved your reaction to this song. Maybe you can react to other songs from their performance at Tiny Desk.
The guy in the Paco's shirt is called "Roly Serrano" he is a very talented and loved Argentinian actor. Some years ago, Roly made a movie about Diego Maradona, and the pic in the shirt that paquito is wearing is Roly personifying Maradona for that movie.

Hi, I´m from Argentina. They are popular, but now they are really gettin speed. They are very very new in the music space. Im following them from about 5 years and now they are hitting it strong.
6:55 Guy on the shirt: Diego Maradona, i also loved the bass player initially when i heard the concert first time. But the keys are just as amazing, and the tightness and fun of the whole group shows how much work they put into rehearsals. They have a stylist working with them who is really locked into their quirkyiness. By the way you can run English closed captions and will show how sexual and playful the lyrics are.
Literally the song says: “que rebote dum dum dum dumbai” = “let that bounce dum dum…”booty reference. They are two musicians originally from progressive rock/indie/jazz. That now they make urban genres like trap or electronica, but they add an interesting musical quota to it. Besides, they are two bizarre ones. The perfect combination of irreverence, humor, respect for good music and musical knowledge that current music requires, especially in those genres. For years they have been changing their music until now they have become known

What’s crazy is they put the arrangement together the day before. The choir girls, winds, and the curly hair drummer (who plays for Marc Anthony) are not part of the regular band. They all met the day before.
The guy on Paco's shirt is a characterized version of Diego Maradona from the movie Youth by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino. Some of the other members have their VISAS (to enter the US) printed on their shirts.
Yes, they are quite known. However, the studio version of these songs are very different. They experiment a lot with EDM as a duet. The rearrangements they've done here are outstanding, they've kept the essence of their original songs but they completed reivented the sound and its vibes. Both fans and people who actually don't listen to them have loved this tiny desk concert.
