To give context, Paco and Ca7riel are conservatory musicians at the Juan Pedro Esnaola Music School, Buenos Aires. Their styles were rock, progressive rock, metal, electronic, Progressive House and Urban music (Regeton and others), but without a doubt the fusion of Jazz, Progressive house and tropical is incredible. As for their lyrics, it is very clear that they are sarcastic and even countercultural to Regeton. You should react to BABY GANGSTA by Tiny Desk; and to his Live concerts - Buenos Aires; and his albums (soloists and groups).
It’s a shame record labels want them to only play trap or limit their talents. Thank god we got to witness this tiny desk to know they’re more than that.
Something I am not sure it translates into the lyrics... that its all a SATIRE , this guys studied on conservatory, they played prog rock as teenagers and where broke, basically they started doing Reagguetton to have fun and they just broke 2 decades of reaggaeton redundancy
I'm really glad you got the lyrics on this one! As you said, it's a funny song, and I think the playfulness of the lyrics adds to the sense of playfulness in the music as well. Also, if you didn't notice, other than Ca7riel and Paco themselves, those who are part of their usual band are all wearing pictures of their U.S. visas on their shirts! The ones who are wearing shirts with other things on them are sessions musicians they hired in the U.S. I think it really speaks to everyone's talent and professionalism just how well they all gel.
I didn't know them until this Tiny Desk and definitely it is one of the best discoveries in the last few years. I personally can't stop playing this full performance.
Nacidos en ARGENTINA!!! We are great people, great country ❤❤ So proud of them . I am a 49 years old woman ..but amazed by this talent young people . Love them Thanks for the video ❤❤
Wow, I discovered your channel today, I'm from Brazil and I'm very happy to see a reaction from someone who really understands music. In this reaction you saw Ca7riel playing guitar, but in one of the songs in this episode of Tiny Desk (I think in the Mi Deseo/Bad Bitch music), he makes a guitar solo along with the other instruments, this is really fire!!! It's worth checking out! ❤️🇧🇷
I love all this set. My favorite song of the lot is Baby Gangsta, but if you react to just one more song, I think you should give La que puede, puede a go, it's the most peculiar one.
They sound like they have all played together for years..not a couple days. Such an artistic shift from their recordings. This is an area they should musically explore more.
The main core of the band (bass, piano, drums and keyboard/samplers) actually does it. The winds, chores and percussions are sessionists only for this Tiny
hi, friend ! I loved your reaction... great work by Catriel and Paco... I recommend your reaction to the song "Telgopor" by Luis Alberto Spinetta (Argentine jazz fusion 1977) excellent musical level... greetings!!!
this was a special arrangement done for the tiny desk. the original version of these songs are much different, they just released a live record and you also have the studio version to check out, they are as awesome as this
The musicians are great, I believe they are the reason why the Tiny Desk sounds so great, because of the arrangements they have made, not sure if Paco and Ca7riel are responsible for the arrangements, however I really enjoyed this session
Son una maravilla!! Los arreglos que hicieron en este TinyDesk fueron arrasadores! Los acabo de ver en vivo en CDMX y su sonido es bueno pero no como el de Tiny Saludos!!

You should react to "Como Asesinar a Felipes", they are a chilean band that mixes jazz with rap. They had a feature with Chino Moreno recently. Greetings from South América!
Love the reaction! Would realy like to see you react to another amazing artist that has the most amazing vocals. Im talking about Raye. She has a very jazzy vibe to her and her vocals realy back that.
React to "Lagrasa de las capitales" by Serú Girán. It is an Argentine band and has influenced an entire generation of musicians (like Paco and Catriel).
Love these guy. Just think Beck when you’re reading their lyrics or considering how they jump from style to style. They know what they’re doing but also joking around.

@@helado.killer totally agree on that song choice!

hahaha you dont have this latin flavor but you are funny in your reaction hahaha
How is this considered good music? They suck but the bad is awesome. Don’t understand the hype and never will!
I automatically discredit you as a musician for not appreciating their vocal play... bye
