This song got me through some hard times in my life. I'm literally in tears as I write this. Sometimes I drive around in my car and sing this until I feel better. Helped me through a divorce years ago. That's what I love about this channel. You seem to understand the cathartic nature of music.
Metalcore actually means Metal+hardcore, but this is very bad definition, cause you never know how this mix will sound more like Hardcore or more like Metal:)
LMAO, us metalheads will argue genre the way naturalists argue genus and species. Question: Is hardcore a sub genre of metal or is it between metal and punk. Also where does pro-pain fall in that?
Hatebreed is one of those bands that not only hits hard but their lyrics are so positive... just in an aggressive way. Jamey Jasta, the frontman is one of the most down to earth dudes in a band I have ever met. \,,/
@@sherm4421 ya man, he's a cool ass dude. All the band members are cool as hell actually. Their shows are always very hype. Can't wait to see them again. That's one band that has, in the past, taken requests from the crowd on what songs to play. So badass.
People think they are hateful skinheads or something because of their name. But, ironically, they are probably the most positive and uplifting people/band ever.
My last hardcore show I saw was $5 in 2005 at the Living Room in Providence. Scarlett, Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying, and Everytime I Die was headlining. Show was nuts. Kids were climbing the support pillars, shimmying across the beams, and dropping on the crowd. There were only like 12 feet from the floor, but it was still awesome.
I love Hatebreed and how they kept things simple with their music, the lyrics are easy to understand for everybody, no subtle messages, straight to your face, just like the music that comes with it ! By the way, I've been to many many concerts and I've never seen a crowd get hyped as much as in an Hatebreed show !
It’s impossible to hear music like this, watch a performance and vibe with the energy of everything. It sucks you in and it’s such a great release. Love when we get new fans
Been waiting for a hatebreed reaction, did not disappoint. Very positive messages in their music, reading through comments on their videos, I lost track of how many times I have seen people post that their music has kept them going through hard times or kept them from ending it all. My favorite from them is to the threshold, fucking killer track
You seem to be a genuinely, good person. It’s nice that you bring something more to the table than,”here’s a song I haven’t heard” and nothing more. Keep up the great work.
YES! This is the song that got me into Hardcore! In the early 2000's I was looking for new music and this showed up late night on MTV or The Box and I was blown away. I had never heard anything like this before. From Hatebreed I discovered Terror and Gorilla Biscuits and it was all downhill from there. Check out more Hardcore! Terror - Live By The Code Knocked Loose - Billy No Mates // Counting Worms Turnstile - Bomb / I Don't Wanna Be Blind
Just here to say that Hatebreed is hardcore, not metal, not metalcore, just in case anyone makes the mistake. EDIT: Lol @ your face when it starts. I listen to hardcore like this all the time so I knew what to expect, this is what happens when there is genre confusion.
@@jasonhook3884 Bands can call their band whatever genre they want. What they sound like is a totally different matter. There are two different genres of "metalcore". "Hardcore" lmao. Hardcore is a subgenre of punk. Bands like Minor Threat, Black Flag, Bad Brains, Drive Like Jehu, Rites Of Spring, Moss Icon, THOSE are hardcore bands. Metalcore is a blanket term for any band that combines hardcore with an extreme genre of metal. Saying Hatebreed is hardcore is like saying Godsmack is nu metal.

hatebreed is hardcore. no problem, everyone not familiar with harder music makes that mistake... definitely right about the power. hardcore is usually not that much my thing, but it definitely has that power to it, that even rivals a lot of metal. this shit is harder than any maiden or black sabbath. even better when you have metal bands with hardcore or crust influences.
Hatebreed has been apart of the seen for over 20 yrs. They are definitely not metalcore, but are loved by metalheads of all kinds. A lot of their songs are about rising over your oppositions and taking control of your life. Also a lot of their song talk about fighting back at society and taking revenge of those who hurt you. I love this band and have followed them from their first album. Seen them live many times. One of my favorite songs is Beholder of Justice. Plz react to that one if you double dip.
I always liked Hatebreed when I was younger! I used to jam them for different things and there live show is one of the most brutal I been to. But if I remember right they had a couple other songs besides this one that stick out in my head and there maybe more. The true hatebreed fans can let you know but " Destroy Everything " and " In Ashes They Shall Reap " were great songs as well.

I LOVE HATEBREED! I've seen them live a number of times and they get the crowd going. First time I saw them in 2007, "I Will Be Heard" was the final song they played and they forced 5 separate mosh pits into one giant pit......I was in the very middle of it all.

I appreciate your positivity and open-mindedness. Hatebreed is actually band that helps lift people out of misery and pain. That's their main message. Ive seen them many times and met the lead singer, Jamie. I got a hug and a thank you from him ☺
