Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies is 10 years old! I remember seeing it with my sister Cara after Christmas Crazy this was the last time Peter Jackson would bring Middle Earth to the screen It feels a step down from the second installment It’s hard to say this gets better after the opening; once Smaug the dragon is gone it’s a pretty straightforward action film There’s sword fights, arrow fights, maybe an over abundance of CGI and it drags in the middle to say the least Bilbo disappears about halfway through not to mention some supporting characters go nowhere in terms of story or character development Still Peter Jackson and the filmmakers manage to plant the seeds for things to come in the previous trilogy Even during the clashing politics these supporting characters do show personality being they have a common enemy despite their opposing views Martin Freeman as Bilbo brings the character full circle as a being who feels such pain, guilt, sorrow, and loss It would also illustrate him as someone who doesn’t talk about what happened in his past but rather write about his adventures No one will ever understand exactly what he’s experienced and it’s sad to think he might’ve been responsible for the events that proceeded later He does make it clear one day he will remember everything that happened; the good, the bad, those that survived and those who did not Bilbo is one who is compassionate trying to see the best in everyone It all boils down to friendship, loyalty, and the bond between everyone If more people valued home instead of gold and riches the world would be a much happier place The end credits song by Billy Boyd serves as the perfect bookend too being very emotional It’s not the finest installment out of all the movies but fans will still get their fill to complete this epic journey JRR Tolkien wrote so long ago
The fifth army is the one controlled by Bolg from Gundabad, it's the name of the scene in which they begin to attack Ravenhill, in the chapter selection of the DVD/Blu-Ray.
I've had the lord of the rings trilogy on dvd twice in my life and I'm tired of the lord of the rings so I'm thinking about just buying the hobbit trilogy
Still the best trailer... maybe ever...I come back every 6 months to enjoy it!
omg same.❤ tha music, plus the lines and especially thranduil's sass. oof
Even though they added a lot of stuff, I fairly enjoy these movies
You shall be The Fellowship of the Ring in the next following movie after seeing The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in theaters.

The first Hobbit film was by Gene deitch
Ok, so:
1 - orcs
2 - humans
3 - elves
4 - dwarves
Who’s the 5th army?
Eagles
Also there's an army of wargs with the goblins but they're considered one combined army
The fifth army is the one controlled by Bolg from Gundabad, it's the name of the scene in which they begin to attack Ravenhill, in the chapter selection of the DVD/Blu-Ray.
❤
Is the tenth anniversary of the hobbit the battle of the five armies
